one of my setups before my crank blew was, paul turner mids, 19cc domes, dyna ign on lowend curve, delta vforce 2 reeds, open airbox with k&n. this setup ran awesome and had really good low through top. i loved it till the crank went. i replaced the crank with a stroker and got porting. the crank added some good torque, and the porting made it rip mid through top. i now love this setup and dont see it getting any better,,, maybe after i add my carbs (30pwks) it will though.

i will give you 25 and shipping deal?

hey thanks guys. my porter said to try 48-50 pilots and 170-175 mains. hey 94banshee did you post the numbers yet? i didnt see them later

is your builder using the blaster pistons because of the long rod? they now have wiseco 795 pistons in any bore size for the long rod crank. blaster pistons is the old way of doing a longrod. i have a 4mm stroker long rod, im using the 795 pistons, and a decking plate for the stroker, as well as ported for the stroker. with blaster pistons, you will be at the least 370cc without the stroker crank, add in the stroke and you will be over 400 i believe. the stroker is great everywhere.

33mm Carbs Or 30mm For Glamis Duners?
H300F replied to Justintoxicated's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i just got a set of keihin 30s off ebay. i think they are clones but nothing wrong with that. anyways they are on there all day long with pretty good prices. i will be putting the carbs on pretty soon, once i straighten my tranny out. -
ported with finger ports, +4mm stroke crank with longrods, paul turner mids, 21cc domes, dyna ign, vforce2s, k&n no lid, my mains in my stock carbs were 360s, they ran good but were on the rich side. pilots were 27.5s. needle was in the 5th clip all the way rich.

break it in with 2gallons of that yamaha. then you can use your amsoil at what they reccomend.

What jetting are you guys using in your 28 or 30mm Keihin PWKs?? What mods? I got some 30s and I want to get a starting point then I can go from there. I have a good amount of stuff done but I think I can go from your mods and figure what I would need to run. By the way did anyone go from stock carbs to 28 or 30s and what was your stock carb jetting and what did those jets equal in the keihins? Thanks a lot.

i run their interceptor and their reccomended 50:1. i know some of their other oils like series 2000 mix at 100:1.

Will Stock Tors Elim. Cable Work With Keihin Pwks?

101-813 is the number on it. thanks. -
Blue Deuce, did you get your motor running yet? how do you like it? do the 34s work real good on it?
-
will my cable that came with my tors eliminator kit for the stock carbs work with keihin 28pwks? thanks
-
Are you sure your main jets are correct? Have a pic of your plugs after a wide open run? what is your filter setup, lid, no lid? You are running 370 mains right? 360s on mine was rich... I wouldnt worry about needing new pistons/hone/etc., mine has light scuffing as well but its not gonna turn into anything. If it was me, I would put her together, take those stupid TORS caps off, get a tor elminator kit, or better yet get rid of the stock carbs, sync the hell out of them first at idle then for movement. then check your jetting especially the mains. Then watch you dont detonate by raising the compression and running pump gas if you are. later

My Passion Racing 4mm Stroker Crank + Porting Ride
H300F replied to H300F's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i got the crank off of ebay from trick racing. i got the porting, pistons, boring, domes, and deck plate off Jim. -
Well afer 5 months I finally got my project done. shes alive and well. I redid the frame and plastics, and because my stock crank let loose in july, I put in a 4mm longrod stroker crank with Jim's porting from Passion Racing in oklahoma and new 60over pistons and 22cc domes, im not running any base gaskets so I have more compression then 22s with base gaskets, and a spacer plate on the bottom. First things first, she flat out rips. Now I know I can get more power from her, but i am a trail rider and you have to remember that, i like my lowend just as much i as i love the topend. so knowing that i didnt build this engine to be a hyped up drag bike, but i did build it to be a hyped up trail machine and that is what she is. dont take me wrong, this engine will burn a lot in a drag, she takes off like her ass is on fire. Now for my other mods i am running along with this setup. Well I told jim how i liked bottom end and trail rider so he did a little bit midler port setup on her, and also said the crank adds a lot to the bottom. I kept my paul turner mids, and stock carbs. The mids work great with this setup from what i can tell, and the stock carbs also work good, but from jims advice i should throw a set of pj34s at it, which i plan to do, i can tell the stockers are limiting the top end. I am running a dyna ignition, delta vforce 2 reeds, and airbox with no lid and a k&n. now for todays ride review. well i got a total of 3hrs on her. 2hrs breaking in, and 1 hour of what i couldnt wait any longer for, letting her loose. i def notice that i find myself in 4th gear often in the trails instead of like i used to be in 2nd or a boggy 3rd. easily pulls gears. it pulls harder when out of the powerband and can pull a taller gear out of the corner. when she is opened up all it wants to do is lift the front end. I will be taking it back out friday for a full day of riding. and if you are considering jim do it. his work looks great as well as performs great. quick turn around and dont worry about him mixing up your shit or ripping you off, my cylinders came back packed with the same newspaper packing as i sent with them. awesome job on the porting and he always responds to your questions. when i first opened the box and looked in the cylinders i went nuts. he can cut and grind some bueatiful work. overall i can say i have a great all around banshee. she has the capability of riding trails, mx, anything, and when you gotta do some business she screams and pulls very hard up top. what a rush. i am very happy with the engine and finally i can say im done modding once i put the carbs on it. now its time to kick some ass. i will add another post on friday with my 2nd reviews and how she does against other shee's. later.

I was at one of my riding stores and saw this oil on the shelf. I looked it over and I think I am going to give it a shot. it is synthetic and designed to be run at 50:1. Amsoil seems to be a good product, lick on the link and check out the info on the oil. http://www.amsoil.com/products/ait.htm

Should I Go With A Castor Based Oil For Break In?
H300F replied to .'s topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
my first engine i did 10hrs of 1/4 throttle and sometimes 1/2 the most. this next engine i am doing 1-2hrs then im riding like normal (next week). i am using yamaha oil for the first 2gals then most likely klotz supertechniplate.
