  1. A leak down would tell you if it was good or bad. If it passes and one side still puffs more then the other, it could simply need both carbs synced.
  2. Friggin bummer. Some kids tried to take mine not long ago. They chopped the lock off the door with a cordless angle grinder while I was at work in the summer. Good thing I had a Kryptonite brand lock and chain plate Red Headed in to the slab. They definitely tried to hack it all but it held up and they must've panicked and left after it took to long. Sure hope the fella/s who got yours run in to these bitches! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
  3. No, I'm just being a wise ass...
  4. Ya don't say....?
  5. Oh My God.... ^ that's really how Australians look?
  6. If you look really hard through years of content for some images of actual 100+ hp stock cyls you will see some weird shit. But then also, you will see stockers making similar power without even adding BOYHESON ports or much enlargement of the boost port at all. No v on the intake bridge. My opinion.... Some width can help. But the real gain is how deep you open it up and getting it to flow on the right angle.
  7. Wow, awesome deal on those PPS cylinders! There is some serious transfer work done if he went to the lengths to fill in the transfers out side. Are they stock stroke or 4mm?
  8. It's possible it was burning oil off from assembly.
  9. Problem is the bigger sleeve moves in to the cylinder's transfer space. Well a little. Which is where it is complicated. Because once you have the larger bore for extra CC's, now you have less transfer to fill it then when it was a smaller bore. So it takes some crafty work to make it worth while. Welding them before pressing old sleeves out would be ideal. Then while the sleeves are out you can really work the new welded material to get an appropriate transfer volume.
  10. Definitely post a pic of what you got if you wanna know what it is. There is quite a bit of talent right there in Oregon. Getting someone to do it over there will not be a problem. Hit up the home page and click sponsors to see who's close. One of the top contenders is in your back yard. As always, make a list of expectations that you are with in your budget. Have an actual intention for the motor. Call some numbers and see who you get a good vibe from.
  11. ^ that. You can at least get it all cleaned up and bored/honed. Weld the crank and get fresh bearings for the outer ends. With the head off, run your nail accross the sealing surface of the cylinder where the sleeve meets the aluminum.
  12. Here we go with the whole "the republican puppet is better then the democratic puppet". When are folks gonna realize it doesn't even fucking matter who the president is? They are just a pawn for special interests and nothing more. Their personal beliefs mean next to nothing. The last time any one remotely patriotic was elected, his brains were splattered all over his wife's lap.
  13. It's a tough situation. Your folks go and everything is now on your shoulders. To boot, I thought he had his own job with benefits and a pension? I wouldn't give that up to run a moto shop 70-80 hours a week. There has been a lot of changes in the last two years. Lotta guys stepping down and a lot of young new talent stepping up. We'll all have to deal with it and watch what happens.
  14. Maybe carry a meter and ohm the stator immediately when it shuts off.
  15. Great deal. Those appear to be in pretty good condition.

  17. ^ problem solved
  18. The rath bar is plenty wide.
  19. Let me know what ya think when you do.
  20. As stated ^ get shocks that have no upper rezzy. I bet the fox floats with no rezzy would be totally fine. Seen quite a few of them showing up on fast bikes. Be prepared to be crafty mounting a sway bar to LT arms. Might have to get crafty and make some shims or weld tabs on. Don't bother with the clamps. They sort of work on the lighter 450's but the banshee is just a pig, and walks them around.
  21. Good and cheap? It's about to be winter and all the east coast guys are about to flood the shops when the MX guys tear down in bit. Trust me you aren't gonna find good and cheap at this time of the season.
