sorry to annoy you..next time ill leave my own experience to myself..most people like to know the bad things about the bike! the cam chain tensioner will loosen up and and frame on the shock mounts will crack on any of the kfx400 arctic cat dvx400, and z400...all the same model.. suzuki sold blueprints and rights to produce to both companies! all the same bike different color!
oh i forgot to mention i bought the 04 and my frame cracked within 7 months...i had little 19inch fronts on it but shes cracked....gusset it the minute u get it....dont even ride it..bare performance baby! its like 429 for them to gusset it and powdercoat it to any color of your choice...

ive got the z400...i love it.well not like the shee...but its great for trails..its not all there with the yfz and the 450r..i ride with my buddies a lot ..if hes getting it for trails its the way to go because shes got reverse...i definatley recomend it...
that eratic idle is caused by a lean condition...do some plug chops and im sure you will come up lean...start at 300's man..if it runs better choked its defintatley lean...read the jetting faq...no idle check your pilot and the needle...fine tune it with the needle..good luck!
