heres the easiest and most efficent way of getting them off without fucking up the threads...hold either the tierod or the a-arm in one hand and then u have to hit the hub where it connects ....so like right in front of the hole where the joints are at....pm me if u cant figure it out! later

well bill, when the plates are bad in my experience it'll smell like burnt popcorn in there. and there will be no material on the plates...youd know...and yes thats the idler gear.and yeah its supposed to play around a bit ..no worries..
