Since I had a few quaestions about the internals,,,,I made some pics so you guys can see the inside of the throttle housing. You can see from the pics that it has an adjustable throttle stop and is cmpletely adjustable,,,meaning you can move the lever to any given point. Hope this helps,,,,,,,,,Don

I actually havent seen very many YFZ UPPER A-arms bent,,,but have seen ALOT of lower A-arms bend. the uppers are alluminum and yes,,,the lowers are mild steel. Infact, that is why my YFZ has Housers on it now,,,,A friend of mine swore he could handle my quad about five minutes before he hit a tree with it. Luckily no one got hurt but he did pay for my Housers!!

most of the tube style dampers all use the same cartirdge,,,,,,some are rebuiladable and some arent but they for the most part are all the same,,,save yourself a few bucks and get a NOSS.

Just for the record,,,Not all YFZ450/four stroke owners are idiots! I always try to respect other riders around me and ALWAYS wear helmets. I realize their are always gonna be exceptions. I was just talking with white trash the other day about 400 riders,,,,whether it be Ex's or Z's,,,if their teenagers and on these things,,,their usually cocky as hell! Last year I was up in Northern WI with some friends. (we rent out a cabin and hit the trail system for a few days). There was this kid on a 400ex. he wanted to race me. ok what the hell,,,,,I smoked him,,,then he wanted a rematch,,,ok,,,,it wasnt even close again!,,,,would you beleive he kep coming back and trying to race me again? He kept claiming he wasnt ready yet,,,,(Even when I let him have the jump!!!) Its a strange world we live in!!!!!

Cant wait to start building this thing!! Any certain year frames to stay away from? I realize their pretty much the same since 87 except for the first J arm styles. Anyone have a cheap frame? I have a few bucks and a fridge full of beer!!

Hello all,,,,js joined the site,,,looks good,,,lots of cool videos! I currently have a YFZ450 and a sportsman500. I plan on building a badshee so Ihope I'm in the right place! lol. I mostly trail ride and have flattracked a few times,,,Might get into some harescrambles this year. I grew up racing MX bikes from early to late 80's. I'm 30 so probably a bit old for the croud but I'm sure I'll fit in!. Step 2,,,,,,,,,Purchasing a frame!!
