  1. You're thinking of it backwards. You are lifting the cylinder 2mm. So, imagine the piston being at a specific spot in the stroke, then slide the cylinder 2mm up with the piston stationary. It raises all of the ports 2mm from where they were originally.
  2. Mechanically, yes. But your port timings are gonna be insanely high since you effectively raised them 2mm. For instane, a typical dune port has durations of about 194 ex and 128 tran. Assuming a zero deck height and adding a spacer, those port timings go to 202 ex and 143 trans which would be a very peaky narrow powerband. If you ditch the spacer plate and cut domes, it drops it back to about 194.4 ex and 133.6 trans.
  3. Sold - pending payment from Erwin8r
  4. Lonestar Billet Front Hubs - $125 shipped I bought these about a week ago on here for $100 and went through all of the trouble to make $25. No, seriously, I spent a ridiculous amount of time polishing these with a dremel of all things since that's what I got and just bought a front end from Ray that comes with lonestar hubs making these expendable.
  5. Didn't the Tech 3's come with an integrated hub at one point? I looked for them on their website and don't see them.
  6. Many people powdercoat their cylinders. I've had a set of cubs powdercoated. Never had a problem.
  7. Looking for some of the stainless IMS pegs, some nice chrome a-arms, and shocks front and rear for my 200lb ass Also looking for some painted plastics
  8. Yeah, it sold within 15 minutes of me listing it.
  9. It's a clean bike, but it's a 99, and the market for banshees is terrible. My buddy just sold a 2003 bike that didn't quite have as much bling, but it wasn't far behind. He got 2450 out of it.
  10. We're pretty fortunate around these parts, because there's a handful of good builders within a reasonable distance. Cam at Redline is a helluva good guy and does all of my work. Truthfully, I think if the average person walked into each one of the shops mentioned, they'd be pretty happy with their motor. Call them up or stop by and see how much of their time they are willing to give you and you'll probably get an idea of how available they will be when you run into a snag.
  11. More than anything, probably just preference. If you took the keyboard slideout alone, it's roughly the same thickness of the incredible, so you can put it in your pocket easier. You get the HTC sense UI, better camera, faster processor. It's basically an eris on steroids, and I preferred the Eris to the droid.
  12. Bought it used about a month ago. Just too big for my taste and bought an Incredible. Would consider trades for IMS/Roll Design Pegs and some coin, lonestar front hubs, or $200. This phone is currently one of my home phones. You can make free VOIP with it to anywhere in the US and Canada if you have a google voice and gizmo 5 account. You can buy both for $13 total, or wait for the free invite from google. Comes with red rubberized hard case and the mirror screen protector.
  13. Bought a billet grab bar from him. Shipped it fast, item was just as described. Can't ask for more than that. Thanks, man!
  14. I really want that 2005 frame with title you have, but just can't pull the trigger on it.
  15. I'll take the kicker. Shipping to 97355? Lemme know and I'll paypal ya.
  16. Stiff Upper Shift - isn't that an ACDC song?
  17. Did ya ask the same question on sandlakeduners.com? That's where I'd go.
  18. I think most people would advise against powder coating your stockers. The heat destroys part of the ball joint that can't be replaced or repaired. Chroming would be another option for ya. As for taking them off, sometimes the joints can be a bitch, because they turn with the nut, but other than that, should be pretty easy and straightforward.
  19. Having a throttle responsive bike and changing the way I hit whoops now has made the best impact for me personally. If you can blip the throttle to pull the weight back off the front end, rather than trying to muscle it up and keep all your weight back, you'll probably not get as fatigued as fast. But a extended thumb throttle and anti-vib stem can be had pretty affordably, if you are patient enough on ebay. The anti-vib stem helped more with rough ruts and stuff more than the whoops though. Highly recommend for that.
  20. Skip Sand Lake, it's just really not big enough to ride more than about 3 or 4 hours. Take the extra hour or so like the others have said and hit Florence, Winchester Bay, or Coos Bay. Oregon honors registrations from other states that recognize Oregon's permits. Worst case, it costs like $10 for 2 years per quad for Oregon atv sticker. Good luck out here!
  21. Shit, man.....no way I'd hit that hill that hard. That still your 10mm cub?
