  1. Jag, I hate to break it to ya buddy, but most carb needles are adjustable in height, just move the little clip to another groove....
  2. I'm thinking the same thing. Waste of space.
  3. The Trail Tech computers are going for $75 at RockyMountain, that's without all the billet. Not everyone's cup o' tea, but the Garmin Etrex GPS is going for about $78 at Amazon.com, this GPS is waterproof, no installation required, can be used on another bike, car or handheld, and with all the obvious advantages of GPS. It doesn't come with the handle bar clamp as standard supply though, the clamp is $13.99.. Worth a look, IMO the Trail Tech is just a glorified cycle computer... In fact you can also go the cycle computer route if you want, before I had the GPS, I used a CatEye Cordless 2 Mountain Bike Computer, worked like a charm, installation of the proximity switch sender unit was a bit tricky, but it is a pretty clean install with no cables...
  4. Holy shit! that bike is shiny!
  5. Thanx for helping guys, I'm useless when it comes to this stuff...
  6. I have a pair of long legged inside calipers at home, with the filter removed, I stick the calipers inside the carb to measure the height of the slides... Easier than the window method.
  7. Hang in there Bro, I've also just gone through the braces thing, I'm pretty broke myself, working in a foreign country far away from my family and the toys, whole paycheck gets sent home for the wife and two daughters, nothing for myself. And the wife wants to know when I'm getting a raise I've always wanted an older 911 Porsche for track days, but that dream is slipping away in the distance... That's reality for you, maybe I can go mix concrete for the Clark boyz
  8. Thanx Meat, btw what's happening with your's???
  9. The exhausts on an RZ bolt to the cylinders, it's not too difficult to manufacture an adapter to fit banshee pipes, however, you end up with clearance issues, exhaust against the frame. Depends on which pipe you're using though, not too sure... Need to get the others to chime in here, Meat was doing it, but it's all quiet there now, BenBB's is in progress and I know Minkia had an RZshee, hopefully they'll reply... I'm thinking the same thing here, buy a running bike and drop the whole sheebang in there, no issues with cdi's, flywheels and whatnot.
  10. That's damn ugly I wouldn't even bother... I wish I knew what set-up he's running on the front, 5 bolt hub and some mean rims and tyres. Thanks sredish!
  11. Bump Common guys! I am also interested in doing this. Calling Ben, Meat, Minkia... We all know that the exhausts are flanged, what else?
  12. I reckon you have a serious air leak somewhere, take a good look around all the rubber boots for the carbs, the cross-over tube, choke tube, carb tops etc, shouldn't be too difficult to find.
  13. I've got them, they're supposed to simulate a mild port job, but honestly, my ass dyno didn't feel any difference....
  14. Do a compression test for each cylinder, that should quickly tell you if anything's wrong. It might also be a head gasket starting to leak, if combustion pressure makes its way into the cooling system, it would explain the quick changes in temperature. Good luck man, hope it's not as bad as you think!
  15. I have to agree with sredish on this one, I run Fatty's, K&N, lid on, at 1500ft and I'm jetted with 300-320 mains, stock needle in the middle and 27.5 pilots. You can trust the mechanic if you want, but, for your own peace of mind, do a plug check first thing when you get the bike back home.
  16. Take a look in the "auction watch" forum.
  17. Sucker... Congrats dude! Best wishes.
  18. Big ones. Coal mining is real big around here, in fact, my first job after school was as an apprentice fitter & turner on a coal mine. I've moved on to better things since...
  19. Hey MEAT, have a good one! If I was REALLY loaded I would've put in a bid on the RZ500 for ya, unfortunately all I can afford at the moment is a beer. Cheers Bro.
  20. I sometimes run 22" Bearclaws, they're very agricultural If your motor has the balls to pull them (they're heavy), they can be used for some serious earth moving.
  21. J.J.

    Rz500 !

hell no..... im broke as all hell How about selling out on the RZ350, I reckon it's worth it.
  22. So I run the 2 together then. Thanks for the help fellas.
  23. J.J.

    Rz500 !

Meat, I have to agree with ya. I've always wanted one of those, love the new fibre glass, much better looking than the stock fairings. I see it allready has most of the essential mods done allready. Those JollyMoto's must have shaved a ton of weight allready, and the GSXR suspension mods will definetely improve the stockers crappy handling. Some porting and a head cut is all that's needed... Are ya bidding on it?
  24. I've noticed a lot of spyware protection programs on the net lately, in particular, in the BHQ Downloads section there are 3 choices: AdAware Spybot: Search & Destroy Spyware Blaster Which one is recommended or are they basically the same thing?
  25. Agreed, Tyson is one of my favourate heavy weights. He's done some crazy things though...
