I'll get at least one more can. Thank you guys. I'll see you guys on the washes or in Olds, I'll be the one kicking 4 strokes' a$$es on a yellow 06 banshee  IT IS DUNES TIME ! ! !

Guys do you know if I can get VP gas on glamis? I am taking 10 galons, but I am not sure if is going to be enough to ride from thursday afternoon to sunday noon. I only have 2 containers and I don't want to buy another one, I will there is no way I can get 110 octane gas on glamis.

I think the point is to get toghether as many HQers as possible and then hit the dunes for the longest ride possible... I have never riden with more than 3 or 4 more guys, it must be really cool to ride with 15+ BANSHEEs Let's do it guys Banshee HQ Dune Ride Glamis Beach Store Sat 28th 9:00am

We need to know how high the compression is, 70 ,80 or 90 psi makes a lot of difference.

Guys I just got the Shift Pro Shift Kit and the Moded Shift Star installed on my 06 banshee. It is as smoth as it can get. I can't wait to drag race and realize that I will naver miss a shift any more. And it is really easy to get to neutral. 100% satified with the set up.

Minimum 8 padles for your set up

That sounds like a great idea... Banshee HR Trip to China Wall Sat Oct 28th 9:00 am Glamis Beach Store Who is in?
-
It takes about 3.5 hours but since I have to drive thru the city at traffic ruch time, may take more than 4

My cousin runs those tires on a stock banshee, very good traction and easy to turn, if you just want to have fun on the dunes, that's all you need... period.

My banshee is clean... the fuel tank is full to the top with C-12... sand padles are bolted on... my gear is already packed... and I am just staring at the calendar waitting for Oct 26 CAN'T WAIT ! ! !

So... I'll keep wearing them like 2 hrs a day to get used to them and to break them in, I wanto to go to Glamis for haloween I don't want to feel uncomfortable riding the banshee with the boots, I really liked how they look and how they feel. Thank you guys

Guys, I just got a new pair of boots (first ever), I really like them, they look cool and they are comfortable... http://www.rockymountainatv.com/viewLarger...220_BOO_BLK.JPG The only problem is that it is very hard to shift on the banshee. What I did is I changed the position of the shift lever, so now is like 5 degrees clockwise, and is a lot easier to shift. This is my first pair of boots, is this what you guys usually do to give room to the boots? or are the boots that I goot not good for riding quads? should I get another pair that are not that tall on top of the foot? Than you

NO, there is no way around it, if you want it to last. Helicoil is your option. I did it my self. Just be careful when you drill the hole so you don't damage the shift-cylinder thing with grooves on it, use a piece of wood as a spacer. Use a lot of grease when you tap the hole so all the pieces of metal stay on the tapping tool. After you tapped the hole and before you install the Helicoil drain a few qarted of cheap oil just to make shure there are no pices of metal left. Sounds dificult, but is not, just be patience and very very carefull. I you don't feel you are patiece enough take it to the dealer, they should do it for $80 or so, I am sure they have done it before

Guys My most honest appology.... untill a few moments ago I had never seen the shells of the cases like the ones shown on the picture above... I guess I am so afraid of touching the cases that I never really paid attention the the assembly it self. It is more than clear, from that picture that the crankcase and transmission are completly separated Locogato is right, just powerwash it
-
You are not burning any gas, the mixture gets all the way thru to the silencer, by that point the gas evaporates and the mixture is only oil.... Belive me I already had the same problem and that is..... a really crapy CDI box Solition: Plug your stock CDI box, return the "Rev Box", get your money back, save more money, buy the LS Dyna CDI box, rejet your carbs (6 sizes larger give or take)
-
That is a very complicated task... I would say that is your graduation from Banshee Shop Get the Clymer's Service Manual, that is the first step all the following steps are described on the manual. Or just do a search on "splitting the cases" on the Forums page and you will find a forum that has a step by step explanation on how to do it. It assumes you already have your engine on a table... I would go for the Clymer's manual There is only one way to be 100% that you got all the pieces of aluminum out of your transmission.... split the cases
-
I am almost sure the problem is your CDI box... try putting the original back on, it will start right away. Where did you buy your CDI from? ir you spent $100 it probably is a pice of $%^& When you are doing mods to your bike, try doing one mod at a time, that way you will notice the power increment every mode has on your bike, and on a case like this you will be able to tell which mod is the problem

place to buy a shift kit?
fun_on_the_sand replied to barely legal racing's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I just got the Shift Pro kit and the modified Shift Star from Cascade http://www.cascadeinnovations.net I will install it this week I think, some times, if you have the money, spend it in something that will make your ride more pleasant. Missing shift is not funny at all... is embarrasing... -
It deppends what do you want them for. The Haulers have better grip, are lighter, TOO HARD to turn and if you are riding on a dune sidewaise your rear end is going to slide down hill because the shape of your paddles The other set is havier and if they bake there is no way you can repair them, it would be a lot easier to turn your bike and more friendly with dune riding. They don't have as much grip as the haulers Long story short: Haulers for racing, Sand Shark for duning. I use EXTREME HAULERS (Thicker haulers), u see the set up of my bike, it would be a waste of power if I had other than those. For a stock banshee I would recomend the Sand Sharks You can get more money for the Haulers than for the Sand Sharks MORE MONEY = MORE MODS

I got my shee Dyno tested few weeks ago by D&M and it pulled 63hp with the mods on my signature. I don't think you are that off, the difference would be the 18cc (197psi) and the CDI box I got my shee Dyno tested few weeks ago by D&M and it pulled 63hp with the mods on my signature. I don't think you are that off, the difference would be the 18cc (197psi) and the CDI box Do you have your air box lid on?
