Hey guys maybe this is not the right forum for this topic, but I need a quick answer, I am leaving in 2 hours to glamis and I need to know if there is a way to figure out if a gas container (5gal) has already oil in it or not...
Thanks
Some thing you should keep in mind when buying spacers:
Rear spacers: They induce bending moment into the hub wich is design to take only shear, if you are not planning to jump a lot you shouldn't worry about this.
Front spacers: They inrease the distance between the spindle and the center of the tire. When you hit an obstacle with a single front tire it will kill your wrists.
Just my 2 cents
Cool Head 20cc or 19cc domes, if you go with 22 or 21cc, is not even worth the money and your time.
get that crank pressure up!! you will feel the difference in the acceleration by sacrificing a litle top speed
Hey I have kind of the same problem, my banshee will start moving when I shift from neutral to 1st and it's a pain in the a55 to get it into neutral if the engine is running. I checked the arrow and everything looks alinged... can you explain more into detail how do you adjust yours? I guess I'm not sure what you call the adjuster, is that at the perch or the screw in the center of the pressure plate?
Thanks
Yes, if you have never installed a helicoil before I would recomend to take your cylinder to a local shop and have them do it for you.
If it was a threaded hole on the frame for the plastics I would recomend to do it your self, but a hole on the top of your cylinder is more critical than that.
Rule #1, NEVER EVER jd weld any fastener (bold, nut, screw or stud)
When you say bolt, do you mean the nut, or the stud that goes into the cylinder?
Whatever the case is, is better to replace both, the stud and the nut. do you have a stock head?
Thank you very much...
I really apreciate your help.
Final setting was 50 on slow jet, 2 notch on the needle and 195 on main... runs awsome, smoth and POWERFUL!!!
I am finaly able to run with the new set of sand paddles 21x12x8 9 extremes.
I just checked and the carb has a DGH needle, I think is not that far away from the EEJ you recomend, where should I use the clip if I use this needle?
If I have hard time trying to find the exact needle, what's the most important feature to keep and which can I sacrifice with no big impact? Taper, lengh or diameter?
Thank's
I don't have the banshee here with me, is down in Rocky Point Mexico, and I am getting it ready for Easter weekend.
That's why I'm trying to get a starting point so I can get a bunch of jets and work on the setup this weekend.
All that said, I don't know what needle I have on it. What needle would you recomend for the setup?
What should be my starting point on main and pilot jet for the next set up?
- 370 long rod
- PWK 39 single carb
- K&N clamp on filter w/outerwear
- agresive dune porting
- FMF SST pipes
- Cool head w/18cc domes
- Advanced timing 5 deg
- LS Dyna CDI box curve 1
- 32:1 fuel ratio C-12 gas
- sea level, 70F
Thank you guys
Thank you guys
Right now I have 168 and feels little lean, I'll get some mains all the way to 180 or 190 and just play around with those.
I appreciate your help, BANSHEE HQ ROCKS ! ! !
I was using 450 mains on the original Mikuni 26 carbs. I did some new mods including porting and also added new PWK 28's carbs.
What size on mains should I start with? Is there a diference on main jet size from band to brand? or should I start playing with 450-480 on the PWK?
Thank you guys.
