I bought my '01 with nerfs and a set of paddles for $2400 everything else was stock....and super low hours.....about three months ago. Spend time and look around good luck. D

suspension seems to never get the action that it deserves.....axle, a-arms, and shocks....great investment. Banshees are fast, but if you can not go fast in the rough stuff then it does not matter how fast of a motor you have....An aftermarket air cleaner should be #1 to save the motor...after that it is..........????? Just my 2$ D

wanting the rear brake light activator switch off of a 2002 or newer banshee...and all associated little parts with it...all you drag racer took this stuff off...I am trying to go street legal....D

I am trying to do this presently in Colorado.....I think the biggest investment and issue is trying to get D.O.T. approved tires...I am getting ready to get a tail light activator swith for the taillight.....my '01 does not have one, '02 was the first year for is...anyone have one...? any suggestions?....D

can you use the passion 12 ports with a stock crank, or is it +4 only?.....how much...?

So is it the MX port or the woods port?....I checked on the eric gorr web page adn it seems that he has three types of porting and the woods and mx are two different ones..? I can not decide between gorr or passion.....D

I have pro-comps with no zerks also....the bushings that come with them are not metal, polyurithane(SP)....so I do not think it is a big deal...I greased them up before I put them in and will pull it apart every couple of month to check....It was my understanding that they did not come with zerks....D

I have a set and like them....Easy installation and a nice finish....no spindle mod....for the money you get +2 +1...Just make sure you keep all the stock pieces from your old a-arms so that you can use them on the new ones...I have the Dune Elkas and like them....very smooth. It is hard to give a total ride report due to not having rode a Banshee for about five years and when I got my 01 I did not ride it, but tore it apart and put all the mods on at once. SO I have no comparison reference....the top a-arm is adjustable.....D

Go with the HMF...and listen to their jetting recommendations...I am at 5000' and my yfz450 ran great with a cam mod...ehs airboox lid and a proflow with a K&N airfilter and a HMF can with quiet core and spark arrester...make sure if you do the mods....run a 48 pilot jet...trust me. also as you start to mod put a new plug in it... www.yfzcentral.com pm if you have questions good luck...D

coathangers work great..., but so do the spring pullers....I have used both, but I always try to use the right tool for the job. Just a thought. D

When you occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone, don't take it out on someone you know, take it out on someone you don't know. I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make. I found the number and dialed it. A man answered, saying "Hello." I politely said, "This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robin Carter?" Suddenly the phone was slammed down on me. I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude. I tracked down Robin's correct number and called her. I had transposed the last two digits of her phone number. After hanging up with her, I decided to call the 'wrong' number again. When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled "You're an asshole!" and hung up. I wrote his number down with the word 'asshole' next to it, and put it in my desk drawer. Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell, "You're an asshole!" It always cheered me up. When Caller ID came to our area, I thought my therapeutic 'asshole' calling would have to stop. So, I called his number and said, "Hi, this is John Smith from the telephone company. I'm calling to see if you're familiar with our Caller ID Program?" He yelled "NO!" and slammed down the phone.. I quickly called him back and said, "That's because you're an asshole!" One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking spot. Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for. Hey fellow HQ members.....good news from the BLM here in Colorado... there is a new mandate from the top down that all ATV's and motorcycles that are used on public (BLM) land with have to have a US forest approved spark arrester. Now does that sound like fun. I have heard that they are going to give a couple of months of free passes, but then start handing out tickets...This is about all 2-stroke aftermarker silencers as well as 4-stroke. I am now glad that I bought the toomeys and also the hush kit with the spark arrester....Just an FYI. Maybe other states are doing it I do not know, but Colorado is...D

I have the same filter system and like it also..., but I just cut the very end off the stock air box that holds the bottle and reinstailled....works great,,,,D

I am at 5000' and running 270's for mains. I have t-6 and no airbox, just toomeys' 2 into 1 filter. No advanced timing and stock head...I think that you are lean...Cold temps need more fuel...D I run 32:1 yamalube with 91 octane.

I have a set with alba pro-comp +2+1 arms....Only one ride on them so far..seem much smoooooother than stock on hard pack.(Anything is better than stock) I will keep you updated as I ride more. Plaining a dune trip soon so I will give feed back then. D
