  1. Actually, there's nothing wrong with BOSS NOSS. I just don't see myself with time to run it this year. Too much going on. When I actually put NOS on my bike, it'll be a BOSS NOSS kit...they're stupid simple and near idiot proof. Nitrous for dummies my buddy Neal says...
  2. Make me an offer on my BOSS NOSS kit, it's complete...
  3. IF your bike can get traction, is setup half way right AND you can shift it...you should smoke him. I had a 4 mil cub on gas and raced a few built 450 4 stroke Hondas and Yamahas...easy pray, but because I didn't have an override in mine, it shifted like shit. Some races were a lot closer than they should've been...but that's racing. If your bike is setup somewhat right, it should be a walk in the park. He may get you off the line for the first 10 or 20 feet (again, rider weight and experience are a BIG part there) but after that you should pull on him like he's got flat tires....
  4. I have the BOSS NOSS kit too, I plan on putting it on once I get mine all dialed in as is...

    NHL PLAYOFFS

    Nice SPAM FUCK STICK....
  6. No offense...please. But if you wanna roll with a 3.80 on a stock cylinder you better be prepared to spend countless hours setting up the chassis, and finding a 90 lb kid that can ride... SRPD in New York can triple port the exhaust and create boost intake ports with no cutting, welding or epoxy..but it is pricey. It all depends on how aggressive this drag port is, if it's even done. Some guys will just clean up a jug and call it drag ported. Now...I don't know who ported your motor, if it was done before or after you got it..etc. So take that with a grain of salt. IF the porting isn't that aggressive, then yes, a proper drag port with triple ports will be a big difference. If the exhaust is pretty much assed out, then no, it won't be a huge difference. If you're serious about drag racing, a good motor is a small piece of the puzzle. Lockup clutch, override transmission and chassis setup are all just as if not moreso important. Are you a duner/drag racer or a strict drag race only guy?
  7. Several things that can cause this. Did you check squish? Holding it WOT for a long ways, how long, what's done to the motor? It could be lean, it could have an air leak... When you're riding it WOT then close the throttle, remember...fuel also cools the top of the piston. Shutting that down all together can cause issues. Are you blowing the same side? How does the top of the piston look? How much cranking compression do you have? Compression ratio? What octane gas are you using? There are 5 to 10 things this could be, from a simple plug in the fuel line to improper cut dome/dome angle and too tight of clearances.
  8. B8ES or BR8ES...you bike won't notice the difference between those and a 15 dollar spark plug...
  9. Didn't Hughes lose 2 or 3 of his last fights? One dimensional....and it's boring to watch, as well as lost him his belt. His hold you down ground and pound might have been enough back in the day, clearly it's not anymore...there are plenty better at sprawling with knock out power that can easily beat Hughes now. I agree with Donkey on this one...I've always been a Hughes fan, still am...but he's a shadow of his former self. He's got nothing to proove anymore, now he's just riding his name and collecting a paycheck. It was probably the most boring and sad fight of the night.... I think Chuck is on the last leg of his career as well...but because of his striking and sprawling, he's still exciting to watch no doubt. IF Hughes had any kind of striking/stand up game, he could still be a contender. But he doesn't now...and never did...
  10. Hughes needs to retire. That fight last night was an embarrasment... The sport has evolved, and if you don't have striking of sorts, you're out. This lay and pray crap he did to Serra was crap, boring... I'm not Serra fan, but at least he tried to mix punches, etc., Hughes needs to retire...bottom line.
  11. Good to hear...a running, solid motor is worth 900 bucks. For less than 700...you can basically replace anything you need for the frame/suspension.
  12. I can't stand Evans...and he's from Michigan... I hope Machida KOs his ass... Evans does have knockout power no doubt. But...Machida, as said...is one elusive mo fo... I also hope Hughes knocks Serra the F out... At the very least, it should be two very good and entertaining fights...
  13. Love that color, very, very close to the red I have on my shit... Nice work Tate...very nice!

Hell...come to detroit, some of those points are still valid....
  15. Glad to see HQ guys step up to help a member out...you can always count on that here. I have a question for you...however, and I'm not trying to be a dick, just asking. Did you check the bike over before you purchased it? Was all this stuff bad/bent before you bought it?
  16. I won't even buy a cast RS timing plate off them anymore... Their products are 100% junk... Now that Chariot offers a billet timing plate for a few bucks more than an RS piece of garbage...they have nothing I'm interested in. 2 stators in 2 years and a bad flywheel pretty much sealed that fate. And this is on a drag bike that doesn't need lights, never sees mud/water other than a power wash.... My first one went bad in just under a year, and he was very good about the warranty and turn around time...no question about that. 2nd one went bad in just under a year as well...it got thrown in the trash and I haven't looked back since. Nology is the way to go IMO if you want a coil replacement other than OEM. I've never tried a dyna coil, so...I can't comment on those. I've never heard bad of them...however.
  17. Yep Yep...lookin good fo sho!!
  18. Hang in there buddy...you'll be aiight... You weren't sick, you were just going through HQ withdrawals.... Take it easy on yourself till you get adjusted...get some rest!!
  19. Glad to hear. A street bike motor is a hard beast to harness....done right, they move...just a lot of work and variables. That's why they take 800 to 1000 cc snomobile motors for drag bikes. Just because it has more HP at the crank (what they get rated at) doesn't mean that's what gets to the wheels...and gets to the wheels well.....
  20. Stock fuel valve, gutted cap, drill the vent tube out to 1/8, and a DF62 Mikuni pulse pump (65L per hour) and you'll be fine for 400 foot. No billet bowls needed.
  21. Thanks guys.... Yeah, I love the food and beer and work for a restaurant company.....so, we just build bigger motors. LOL. As said, first time out, 8 to 10passes (I don't count the track the day before, 3 passes, TOTAL mud bog from all the rain. I only made a full throttle pass to half track to make sure it was all tight...) I might add, quite a few of the passes on Sunday were on a pretty chewed up and rutted track...you all know bikes like these like a clean track for any kind of number. I think going a little better than a tenth faster with only a handful of passes is impressive and I am very happy...and that's what counts.
  22. Yes sir. I initially changed the gearing from 16/45 to 16/44. Jetting issues weren't letting me leave with 44, so I went back to 45. Had to iron out the carbs a bit more. Even with it coming out of the hole so so...all my slips were 76MPH or better. I had my best passes that were all over 78, almost 79 MPH. For the past two seasons, every track I went to...I was LUCKY to squeeze a 75 or 76. My MPH was always 72-74MPH...pass after pass. I like the MPH, I was going to bump the timing to 11 or 12. I'm going to leave it as is for now. (at 10) Going to work on cleaning up the bottom just a hair (gotta love Lectrons...easy easy!!) I'm very confident I can get consistent teens out of it with me on it...maybe an .0 pass here and there. That's a LOT in 300 foot. Now...then there's the jockeys....LOL.
  23. Possible... Like I said, the intakes could've been leaking all last year...but since I never checked them, I can't say for sure. It wasn't a MAJOR air leak, it was enough to rev up a little after a run...and if it was leaking all last year, the pistons and cylinders still looked good as a result. That's why I'm not sure. Hundreds of passes and the bike held together great. So...you know as well as I do, if it was leaking, it couldn't have been too bad. I'm still not coming off the line as hard as I did last year...I need to get my 60's down. Once I get the bottom to middle cleaned up...I know it's got more in it. I only made about 8 or 10 passes. The last 3-4 passes were really shiners. You gotta think, I ran consistent .30s for the last two years. I could sneak a .20 in now and then. I only made a few passes compared to normal. Realistically, from porting alone, I'm only looking for a tenth. I'm there. And I've still got some tuning to do. I still believe you can't get a TON more out of them...by a ton I mean a few tenths on porting alone. That's another reason I'm still in the stock chassis...to keep all that the same.
  24. Yessir D. I wanted to run a track I've been at before with the same chassis and setup to really give the motor an honest chance to shine...it did!
  25. Two Fiddy....
