  1. I'd say between 25 and 40 miles roughly...having fun. All depends on how open the throttle is...and how often as said. I went on a balls out, 3/4 throttle to WOT trail ride that was 47 miles long. I stuffed the fuel tank... With about 15 miles left, we hit a gas station, and I brought enough premix with me to put in two gallons. it took the two gallons...but, was almost full again. This was stock motor/port, stock carbs, Pods, T5 pipes, plate @4, lightened flywheel...and spot on jetting. Some of the trails were sandy...so, 6th gear was never seen. But, I was in 4th and 5th most of the time, givin her hell.... I still have a FUGLY 5.5 gallon tank no one wants to buy for sale.... packaged and ready to go.... I was gonna use it on mine, but...decided to make mine a dune/drag only bike, and at Silver Lake, you're never "that far" from camp!
  2. What are ALL your mods? What about swingarm, stock?
  3. Remove them without spending money? No. Disconnect them electronically so they don't function? Yes. Do a TORS Removal search by [email protected] He already has a thread with pictures. I think you're fat on your main jet...but, check what I've recommended....then, if a plug chop still shows rich/lean, adjust your main accordingly. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html
  4. You know what they say about a guy with big feet. Needs big boots....
  5. I've got you and one guy on Planetsand.com that just PM'd me about it. I'm taking pics for both of you...Money in hand is dibs.... Dave
  6. No need to rewrite the thread: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=67748
  7. A. I said damn near...(meaning almost free... ) They just sit in the corner of my garage. Since 90% of my riding is dunes and drag racing, I have no need for them.... No prob...just looking to hook a brotha up.
  8. I have a 96 Polaris Triple/Triple XCR sitting in my garage, taking up room. Was planning on resurrecting it...but, my shee is an expensive enough hobby.... I believe it's got 6000 or 8K miles, not 100% sure, motor ran strong last time it ran. It sat at a friends house for 5 or 6 years, in his back yard. He bought the house, raising a family, etc....no time, handed it over to me. Here's what I know it needs: Carbs removed and cleaned out...I'm sure there's a pack of bubalicious in those carbs....from sitting. New Seat....his dog ate most of the old one. Clutch...said it was going last trip out. Track....original and dry rotted...lugs starting to chunk. TLC...could use a good cleaning.... As said, motor is solid, it sat uncovered for the last few years... Can send as many pics as you'd like. I'm looking for a local pickup/delivery only, I'm located just north of Detroit. 200 bucks takes it... Or...interesting trades. This sled had the better suspension of it's day, Fox Shocks I believe... Hit me up....
  9. 1st...what is your shoe size. I got some Size 13 Fox boots I'll damn near give away.... Second, www.ebay.com
  10. Now that there is funny...I don't care who you are.... Firehead...there is no other option. If they want to be dicks about it...they can poke that screen out all they want. If your spark arrestor or silencer does not say USFS approved....you're gonna get the horns. Clamp ons are pretty much your only option.... I guess if you want to wheelie that far back, shorten your silencers then clamp them on so they don't rub....or, you could just take it easier on the wheelies. Welcome to our world...we've had to deal with sparkies forever in MI...yes, even at Silver Lake. I've been there before when they actually looked for the USFS imprint/engraving on the sparky....so...best of luck to ya!
  11. . Welcome to the HQ....please use the search button. Asking this is like asking you what kind of food people like, what kind of car they drive...and what kind of clothes they buy. Everyone has an opinion.... Do some research and draw your own conclusion.... P.S.....to each is own, but I'd never run any two stroke leaner than 50:1....I don't see the point....
  12. What do your plugs look like? Do a plug chop... http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/plugchop.html If the plugs turn out fine, I'd bet you don't have enough motor to pull 5th or 6th... Sand robs power big time, I'd bet the last time you ran it...it was wet or hard packed sand.... One tooth larger in the rear should HELP you pull a bigger gear if anything...I'd bet it's either rich...or, you don't have the motor. Did you check the paddle pressure, to make sure they had enough air in 'em? I normally run 4PSI.
  13. If it has stock carbs...loosen up the tops and tighten them by hand, use the L Bracket hold down to keep them tight. If you use an adjustable wrench to tighten down the carb tops....it can cause them to stick....
  14. I ordered 4, my banshee has a Hemi head..... I bet if I put this AND a boost bottle on....it'd be at least 20 HP on a dyno.... lol
  15. upload it to imageshack.us Use the hotlink for forums URL... Cut and paste the whole URL into the subject field...
  16. On the PWKs series....55 is definately rich. In fact...that's what they use for Meth Motors 'round here for the pilot jet. I have a 50 pilot in my cub setup, pretty much same as yours, and it's still rich. Since I've been at the track (300ft sand drags) last 6 times out...wasn't a big deal. But, I have a dune trip coming up....and I'm going to drop it down to 45 or 48s...since, I won't be WOT all the time. In my PWK 35's I run 150 Mains (may have a 1/2 turn out on my powerjets, depending on temps) CEL needle middle clip and ...well, Pilots been discussed.
  17. Nope...is it an MX Track??? Not gonna be me....mine's strictly drag/duner....
  18. Call Jeff and ask him.... I don't know your budget...so, it's hard to say where to spend the money. Don't forget...as you mentioned, you can still get good money for your T6 pipes, that will offset the cost. You can also get a few bucks for your stock carbs.... We all wanna go really fast for the least amount money...
  19. Temps you ride in? Elevation you ride at? Does it still have the TORS on it? I'd bet one of four things... TORS is screwed up. Choke tube fell off or is not in place Carb Slides are in backwards Carb float bowls are switched.....
  20. Possibly.... I'd call RS and see what they say.... Did the instructions say anything about using different wattage bulbs in them? I don't see anything about it on his site.
  21. No prob.... I bought my whole cub motor from Jeff, a chain, crank, bearings, it was a BIG, BIG bill. So, I don't know if it was a deal price, buddy price, or his everyday price....that being said, I don't like to give out prices for other people unless they advertise them. That's only fair.... That being said...call him on it. Yes, if you plan on trail riding, do NOT go full drag porting....you'll be sorry. (and...don't build a cub...lol) I don't know how much porting the T6's like, but...I've read, just as everyone has, they don't like a LOT of porting. If you want to woods ride, stay away from CPI, Shearer, Rockets or other top end orientated pipes. T5s work very well with porting, and I've been hearing more and more the Trinity pipes are pretty good too. Those pipes pull pretty well, but...they're not all on top like the drag pipes above are.... Depending on your porting...I'd say 33s or 35s. It's a trade off, little more top end/less low end with 35's, and the opposite with the 33s. It'd be a very little difference, though... There's already a good article on squish...rough numbers, what it should be at, etc... It's basically how close your piston is to the head at TDC. Here's that write up. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...5&hl=squish Lastly, for Jeff. PM him, screen name is FASTOYS, or call @ 785-364-5325 M-F 10-6 // SAT 10-2 Central time!
  22. That's almost as good as that picture of the T5's someone heated up, bent out to look like out of frame drag pipes, then left the whole silencer and stinger tubes off. That guy had to have a real, real shallow gene pool... I'd love to have an open, close place to ride 'round here.... Guess I better pack up and buy some property....
  23. Call RS and see what they say... I don't think there is a regulator for the headlights, only the tail...or is that a recitifier.... Ask RS if you need to run higher Wattage bulbs with that 200W stator, I think stock stator is like 80W, but not sure. I thought the 200W stator was if you planned on running those HUGE headlights...
  24. Polish up those calipers...will ya? LOL.. My old roommate polished up the HUGE frame spars on his old 97 CR250...(reminds me of a crotch rocket spar)...man, it looks good, for a minute. Riding boots put a damper on that. But, his old 900RR looked good for a long time like that. Takes FOREVER...but, it sure is purdy....
