  1. Yep...that too..
  2. Keep the T6 on until you get the cub...you will hate the pipes on a stock port motor with a 2 into 1 carb setup...your T6 pipes will probably actually produce more usable power...
  3. Yeah, I think I got lucky. Odd...though. They hardly ever let go on the intake side. As long as the crank is ok...I should be fine. I'll be working the phones tomorrow...I might just have to "send it out" for some....work....before Albrights....
  4. Great minds think allike...that is exactly part of my design process.....LOL...
  5. The good thing is...by initially looking at it, the head is perfect, no pits, gouging, etc... The nikasil looks perfect too. Of course I can only look down into the bore as far as BDC, but...no scratches, grooves, etc. Now...the bad news. I had year old pistons from my 4 mil I could've thrown in just to finish out the season...of course, I tend to go a little crazy cleaning out the garage sometimes...so, they went in the trash I think. I'm gonna replace all the seals, get new pistons....and give her hell again.... Doesn't look like it's running too bad from the other piston...still pretty clean for almost 100 runs or so on the motor!!
  6. Well...I've been meaning to try out some new low compression, lightweight pistons...let me know what you guys think of my design...
  7. The third is a 96....T is the 10th character, same as my old 96 frame, Ray...I just checked cause I still have the application for title of that frame (which you bought) in my file cabinet... Dos Cervesas Por Favor....
  8. I would've really liked to make a pass or two with my 14s, just to see how much of a difference leaning it out and changing the timing/ignition setup....and how much was tires....
  9. Well...other than two trips to Silver Lake with 16 cc domes (yeah, a big no no) it's been pretty trouble free all year... A few people said it ran pretty good at Silver Lake Labor Day weekend. I'd probably be a bit bothered if a rod was hanging out the front, or if it locked solid. But the fact that it started and ran on both cylinders until a tiny piece wedged between the electrode and strap gives me hope.... I've already got Pistons, crank bearings/seals are nothing.... I just don't want to wait on Nikasil...I really want to make the Bash @ Albright...hell, I"m looking forward to the party more than the race...LOL... I'll have my new pipes Tuesday (of course) I'm going to make sure they fit, then pull the motor out and tear the top off it just to check it out, I'll post up some pics for entertainment... Seriously...not including my first two trips to Silver Lake, That bike probably has somewhere between 70 to 100 passes. My first year on alky....and I'd say that's pretty damn good.... JT...I was looking at our two race times slips, it seems like we were both stuck with lower MPH. Did you get any faster on MPH as the day went on? Our one race I pulled a 1.60 sixty foot....that was the fresh track we ran on, I think we got the first passes....man that was a good feeling run!!! After talking to Roger, I'm going to stop worrying about MPH and start working on ETs....and RT's....
  10. Maybe the came from across the border??
  11. I saw them, and I think I'm gonna pass...I made an engine stay I'm fine with. I really appreciate it, though!!

  13. Ran a 4.27 right off the truck....ran 7 times before the left side went. I'm hoping the nikasil is ok, and I should be fine. The bike will start, it's just got a few pieces of aluminum "Floating" around... Borrowed Hoppers 15 paddle, and between leaning on the motor and more paddle, it's the best my bike has run this year. Hit 4.3 4 out of the 7 runs, two bad runs of a 4.4 and a 4.5. I actually broke into 1.6 60 foot times 4 times as well.... I'm gonna pull it apart this week sometime, I'm 100% positive it wasn't lack of fuel. My girl couldn't believe I wasn't pissed off because it went boom.... I told her It ran the best it ever has (up until that point)...so, hell now I'm not pissed, this shit happens. Had a great time as ususal....we were gonna cut out an hour early, went to a concert last night anywho. Yeah, 9 hours of Test N Tune, that' sick. Problem is, we're sharing it with trucks, etc....so, it's gonna get chewed up! If my cylinder needs coating, I might just roll out there with a BIG motor...or some spray...LOL!!!
  14. You need a BIG motor to turn the 2.36 right.... I run stock cut gears on my 10 mil Jer....You'll be fine...
  15. I should have a little for you, JT. Evan left me with a full tank and some left in the can... I bought a fresh 5 gallons yesterday of VP...I'm sure there's enough in the can to get you by, I can drain my tank as well... (Sorry bro....at 35 bucks for 5 gallons of VP...you're gonna have to use my leftovers...LOL )
  16. Just pull the pink chute before he stages...LOL...
  17. I can tell you one thing....if you plan on using that 17mm socket on my 14mm lug nuts, that's where some real red neck engineering is gonna play. We're gonna need some duct tape and empty cans to snug 'em up....LOL. I'm a banshee owner, I always carry a ton of tools...hell, I have just about two of everything you could bolt on the damn bike... I just like to work smart rather than work hard...
  18. I gotta stop and pick the bike up...dammit..LOL. JT...you or Brent bringing a cordless impact? Gotta change shoes at the track....
  19. Ok...fair enough. Why not go all the way and run the banshee on methanol? Or...is that not available to you either?? I'm surprised you found good results on E85...everything I've read is it costs more per use than normal gasoline... Interesting...
  20. Very, very interesting.... I would ask it on PS...I'm sure Calvin would pipe in...as well as others....
  21. Take your meds, relax...breathe.... firehead has a lot of experience in fuels we'll never see...supporting race programs for some of the biggest race teams in the biz... He did say unless you have a chemical background and some lab equip at your disposal... No need to get in an uproar....
  22. 19.99 plus shipping and handling for the lot of it...call now, operators standing by... Free bump for ya Jer....
  23. Yeah, it's about time he piped off something worthwhile to read... :yelrotflmao:

    Dwarf

That's good. Reminds me of the whole dwarf scene with Will Farrel in the movie Elf (Oh...he's an angry Elf, he must be from the south pole...) lol...
  25. If you have to ask what a PVL is, you're not ready for one... It is a lightweight ignition system that doesn't turn as much weight of that as a flywheel. Unless this is a Drag race only bike, DO NOT get a PVL.... Also, if you're running Pod Filter, you should probably check your mains unless you're at a really high elevation....over 3500 or 4000 feet. With Pod filters and inframe drag pipes and porting, you should have a 350 main or so....
