Cody...this your first Windows Mobile phone? Learn how to kill the processes manually. It's not like Window when you close a program, it closes. When you close (x out) a program on a windows mobile device, it is still running in the back ground. Soon, it'll be slow, non-responsive and/or lockup. It'll be in settings, memory management somewhere.... I've gone rounds with several different Verizon phones. I liked the Voyager best. As long as you don't text while you drive (touch screen is picky) it has a nice screen and keyboard!!! The Windows Mobile phones are nice...once you get used to the quirks. Mama...I tried a Blackberry Peal for one day...took it back. Could not stand it....

Stay away from the Ricky Stator Pieces of garbage. Stick with a stock stator...

Higher compression will give you more low end and midrange, something a banshee is not known for, at the slight exchange for some top end...something they have plenty of. With higher compression, you get more heat. With that heat, depending on how much (based on how much compression) you might have to run a higher octane gas so it doesn't pre-ignite. I've always been more of a fan of more timing and not so extreme on the compression....

Mine's a laydown....you don't stand a chance....LOL

My Daddy has an ATC 90 on NOS and nitro that's gonna smoke your 400... :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

Does it sound like I give a shit if you have respect for me or not. Those that know me, who've helped me and who I've tried to help know how I am. Your boy took the pot shots, as posted above, also...you might think I'm stupid...but here's his sig line. It's a direct shot towards Jeff and FAST as well. "Don't be S.L.O.W. Do it yourself in half the time and half the price those small-time boys charge for labor alone" I'm going to let you in on a little bitty, teeny secret....I don't have a FAST motor. I cleaned it up and put it back together myself. And it runs just fine. But I'm not going to let a full of himself, whiny ass bitch take shots at my friend because he couldn't have it his way like Burger King Funny....in the other thread he said he called all the guys he'd think about doing business with, he posted RMATV and Cascade's website....and ONLY took a shot at Jeff for not calling you back. Are we to assume all the others answered their phones, called you back, kissed your ass....but you went with RMATV or Cascade anyways? Didn't think so. Any builder worth their salt is busy now. If they couldn't pick up the phone right then and there to take your spark plug order, fine...deal with it. Don't act like Jeff is the only one that can't pick up the phone every time some one calls. You're full of shit if you think so and don't have a clue. Professionalism over childish shit? Look at the top of my post again.... I don't swing from anyone's nuts...but I protect and speak up for my friends. I don't care about your shitty trip through KS. Your boy and mentor fired the first shot in this and another thread. So why you can boo hoo to us, take time to read the threads again before you act all innocent.

I think the point is the 500 needs a lot of work from factory flaws and defects. Dr. Q has them pretty down pat and makes a good bike. Dollar for dollar, you can't beat a banshee. You can't use the age or years produced as an excuse. Up until a few years ago (the start of the 450 4 poke era) you were either on a Honda 250R or you got beat for MX, cross country, GNCC, etc. And they were made for 4 years...and it's been almost 20 since the last one rolled off the line.
-
Doesn't bother me in the least, I'm going to buy stock in duct tape and bubble gum, I'll be right back.
-
Wow... Trying to figure out how quickly that bike's gonna go from F.A.S.T. to SLOW in your hands. Talk about pissing in the wrong pond....check your ego Jared. I've seen and heard about your fantastic wrenching skills and wide range of knowledge... Oh...and I have video to prove it to. I don't claim to know it all and try not to act like it....but I sure don't slap those in the face that know a helluva lot more than me. If that FAST bike was so slow...why'd you get it anyways? Do me a favor...don't PM me when you try to put .125 dumps and mains in this bike on methanol and can't figure out why it doesn't run for shit... You're the little guy, save yourself the time and headache and figure it out yourself. I'm sure Jeff will still sell you a few sets of pistons you'll probably need though.....no worries. Unless you're making those yourself too.... On a lighter note, you guys are missing the mark. Come to Detroit. Our Mayor is being charged with Felonies for conduct unbecoming a public official, we consistently rank in the top 3 in murders, our housing market sucks. The big three are going through shut downs, overseas outsourcing, lots of lazy fat cat UAW workers (U Ain't Workin) whining about not getting paid 45 bucks an hour to put two bolts on a bumper.....our Pistons can't make it past the conf. finals three years in a row. And our Wings come within 30 seconds of clinching the cup...only to carry on 2 and a half more overtime periods to lose and keep us up till almost 1 AM.... And we have Sunday Drivers everywhere, and construction on every road to boot.... You guys got it made. Give me a cornfield and flat ground over pot holes the size that a dinosaur could crawl out of.....

How many beach sized cry towels do you generally go through a month??? STFU. Damn...that's funny....

J... When you get the wrong parts because you clicked something on the web page..or you forgot to order something you'd need to coincide with what you're buying (example, bigger carbs need bigger intakes AND bigger air filters) you'll realize what personal service is. Ask Rocky Mountain or Cascade to hold up the UPS delivery man for a last second shipment...oh, that option isn't in the shopping cart, my bad. I don't buy all my stuff from FAST, sometimes I get a better price (normally on used parts), sometimes I'm in a bit of a hurry....but I keep it with the FAST family when I can. Neither cascade or RMATV are builders, they're parts warehouses. Ask RMATV or Cascade what a specific should be on a setup you have...see if they have an answer, let alone a clue what you're talking about...you know, like dump tubes and main jets on alky carbs for 7500 feet....when a bike won't run right... I'm not saying you should buy everything under the sun from FAST, just give a one man show with the best service around a chance to call you back. Just because it's a priority to you, doesn't mean he doesn't have 50 priorities that were in line before you and in his shop....

Dyna is programmable. You can program 4 different curves. You can use it as a stutter box, nitrous activation, etc.... There are advanced features on it you don't find in a 100 dollar "dumb" CDI... They are 250 to 300 brand new.
-
Just make sure you put dog shit in it as well...LOL. Trinity used to be great in their day. Honestly, if you had Harry build you a custom, one off motor that he and only he touched, it would run with the best of them. However, as Joe Smith customer....you're going to get a production port job (that's why they call it Stage Shit, Stage Fuck, Stage Dick) because it's just that....whatever they feel like throwing on there. Any builder should listen to you and your needs, make suggestions and go from there. There's no stages, just engines built for customers.
-
I said go fast...you can get retarded with chrome and bling on any bike...I don't count that. I'd say including the price of the bike you can build a low 4 second, possibly high 3 second 300ft bike for half to 1/3 the price of any fourstroke or any other bike for that matter.

If it's a money order, check with the issuer to see if they can give you any recourse. Postal money orders are nice, it's mail fraud if things don't turn out. Good luck, thanks for the heads up...

memorial weekend tickets galore at Sandlake
dajogejr replied to motocrossrider68's topic in Sand Forum
From what I've seen...your head lights and tail lights seem to be in perfect working order.... LOL...sorry, had to. They are STRICT on spark arrestors for our dunes. Cause let me tell you something...nothing says lets start a forest fire from an arrant spark like hundreds and hundreds of acres of DUNES!!! I can understand forest trails, sort of.... All I can say is someone needs to empty all the ash trays of the country....cause apparently the sand in them could cause a huge fire instead of put out your cigarette.... -
You 100% must have the right tool (thread in) to remove the flywheel. Other than that...piece of cake. Click on the chariot performance link in my signature, it's his ebay store. He makes a very nice billet timing plate, at a lot less than the pro-design one.... Better quality than the RS plate, cheaper than the PD billet plate. Perfect balance.

Every bike and motor is different, some run pump gas in 170PSI motors, some run race fuel in 155PSI motors. It makes no sense to run race fuel on a motor that doesn't need it...there are no advantages. But when you start creeping up there with timing and compression....I'd rather be safe than sorry....
-
Couple things. You running race fuel? How much timing? What needle is in there? Compared to my old cub setup (same as what you have) you are way fat... I think it's time to start checking electrical...to be honest. Also, clean and clear gas lines to the carbs and the screen in the tank ok, clean?
-
Stock...
-
If it runs perfect after it's started AND warmed up, you can almost rule out electrical... When my old stocker motor had 110 PSI, it was a bear to start cold. But...once warmed up, half a kick. I agree your compression could be higher, but it should start one kick warm...it's not like it's 80PSI per side. What kind of compression tester are you using? I wonder if it's an el cheapo....they are often way off. Were the rods blued before or after your last rebuild?? trying to figure if it's a past or current problem. Usually, if it's an air leak...it'll be real tinny up top...or zingy. Revs but no power. And when you come to a stop, it takes a while to idle down...or, at idle, it starts surging. Do you have a Ricky Stator Stator? Did you set your flywheel air gap properly? Let's start from scratch. All your mods, elevation, temps and current jetting.

You asked if it would fit... That answer is yes. For your elevation...I would get less cc domes, as said...these are 20s... -

Yep..sure will. -
I'm your huckleberry....bring that baby to silver lake dunes in MI.... Just playin with ya... Zillas in the right hands can be made to run, and run very well. Big motor, big torque...God help you if it kicks back on you..you only need one leg to shift anyways, right?? LOL... But Kevin hit the nail on the head. Shees are easier to build, WAY more available for them...etc. If you want to be different, enter a single cylinder class, etc., they're a good motor. (Although an good running Sabertooth will hand it it's own ass)... If you want to go fast for cheap, banshee is the place to be!!!
