  1. THANKS!
  2. Will a NOS COOLHEAD currently being used on a cylinder bored out 50thou, work on a stock bore set of jugs?
  3. BUSHES? BUSHINGS MAYBE?
  4. Technically not really, but it costs like $1.99 per plug, why take a chance.
  5. Because of the inertia of the flywheel when its travelling at that speed does not have enough "rotating mass" to keep the engine running without the proper amount of fuel. Mach's formula states v=1/2r^2(3x.097)-1/2d^2xm where v = velocity, m=mass of the fly wheel and m = your friends suzuki is a piece of crap and he should have sell it and buy a Banshee, and d = this whole reply was bullsh*t from the get-go...haha! Tell him to ghost ride it off a cliff, that'll fix it!
  6. Squirt a little WD-40 down into where the throttle cables enter the carb tops. The WD-40 will dissipate the moisture. Rack your throttle open and closed a few times, with the bike OFF. Start it up, let it get warm , rack the throttle a few more time in NEUTRAL, you shouuldnt see any more sticking. I go through this every day its raining...
  7. Yeah me 2. Just about after every ride.
  8. Upstate NY, half on gravel/dirt roads the other half woods. Elevation about 1000-1300 feet.
  9. Are the carb slides seated properly? Take off the airbox and look into the carbs, both black slides should be at the same height with just a little half-moon shape clearance at the bottom. Also check the top of the carbs where the cables go into the caps. It could be hung up, making your throttle position higher than it should be for idle.
  10. I got a kit, and never put it in....sounds plausible though, I think it might work. Maybe I'll put it in and see whats up this weekend.
  11. Dennis Kirk or magicracing.com
  12. Its a cover for your air filter, like little red undies....it lets air in but keeps water (someitmes) and particles out of you sizznit....
  13. K&N baby. Its easy unless youre retarded, then its only kidna easy...i think i paid b/t $60 and $90 for my kit. It was a long time ago. Yeah youll get better air flow = better power, but you might not see a noticeable increase if you dont have otehr stuff done too. make sure you clean that sucker as often as you can.
  14. Any high revving 2 stroke will naturally beat its self up....how bad it gets depends on how hard you ride, maintance schedule, conditions, ridier ability, premix ratio etc....and an engine that makes more power has a tendency to be harder on itself. If youre going to replace the rings, then you already pretty much just rebuilt the top end. Change the gaskets and you'd be good to go. I rebuild once a year, I keep a tight maintence schedule and mix my gas the same every time, and I beat the shit out of it. I have never (knock on wood) have had ANY major failure yet. but yeah you could go 2-3 years w/o a rebuild....but wjy take chances.....
  15. They wont affect your jetting, try 270 - 280.

    DMC 916's

I NEED A SET OF DMC 916's! Cant find them anywhere!
  17. Still shopping for an exhaust here....looking for the biggest bang for the buck for where/how I ride.... Are the LRD's worth it? Seems like a pig top end power increase.... And for somene contemplating porting, are they compatible or should I go with T5's or FMF SST's and Titanium Silencers.
  18. Well i wanted a set of 916's. unforunaley there seems to be a conspiracy and the manafacturer is not letting distributors ship out these pipes or they recalled them or something. I wanted the 916's because 1) I heard they sound SICK, 2) I heard they make great midrange power and 3) i dont know anyone else with them, wanted to be different than all my friends with toomeys. This guy at one of the distibutors said the aliens make more power? Anyone got a set strapped on that could give me a review? Other than that, im looking for a good mid-range bolt-on boost (ie a new exhaust). I do alot of woods riding and alot of gravel roads and dont really feel like pulling her apart just yet to get the porting done, although its definitely an option during the winter. Already done: ricky stator timing advance +4, boysen power reeds, k&n filter with ported airbox, wiseco pistons. Any one got and great ideas? Maybe fore-go the exhaust and put on some more bolton>
  19. Yeah thats who i deal with, i love Magicracing.com....
  20. IF YOU CANT REMOVE THE LID BECAUSE OF THE CONDITIONS, BUY SOME AIRBOX LID VENTS. ITS A 3/4 INCH HOLE WITH A BUILT IN FOAM FILTER, KEEPS CRAP OUT LETS MORE AIR IN, NEVER CAUSED A PROBLEM YET.....
  21. Excellent, thats exactly what i was lookin for. Thanks, bro!
  22. Going to order pilot jets, but there are 2 type on this site that I order my stuff from, and no refernece to what machine they apply to. Anyone got pics or input. Thanks!
  23. Yo, we gotta meet up. You want those jugs done or what.....aint heard form ya. Oh yeah, and Shamie got me a new exhaust and a noss coolhead for my bday....i think anyways.....
  24. Is it okay to use with advanced timing? Or am i goona go boom?
  25. Oh yeah? Cool, good to know. You should hear from her soon, if not already. I asked for the black anondized, heading to NY. So just for future refernce, should my compression go over155psi, switch to race fuel?
