  1. I heard somewhere that the pipes tend to snap, any truth to this?? Getting a set next week for my birthday. Also, any reviews you can give me on these pipes, would be appreciated, I heard they are pretty good and sound sick.
  2. My girl is ordering a Noss head. Im running mainly at 1300-1500 feet asl. I got DMC 916's coming too, in addition to advanced timing (+4), boysen power reeds and spacers, wiseco pistons, and a K&n filter in a ported airbox... I told her to order 20cc domes with it. Im pretty sure, but can i run it with pump gas at that altitude? Just wanna find out before I get them and put them in. THANKS!
  3. Its really easy to install the Ricky Stator, the hard part is getting to it. You NEED a flywheel puller, dont dick around without it. You might have to grind down this little section down to make it fit, but that was easy. If you can, and you should, get a clymers manual. You'll reference that book more than you think, its worth the investment. Anyways, it has good pics and descriptions, it will get you to the stock plate, then its only a matter of 3 or 4 screws and you can swap the plate out, set the advance to the split in the case, reverse process, and wa-la ! Ask around BansheeHQ, someone might have their own pics to share with you to help you out.
  4. Fag, I know someone we can trust to send your jugs to. I dont think youll need a re-bore, but we will hit them with the hone and clean em up and take a look, are tehy off the fucker yet?
  5. Youre gonna get tons of opinions, but i go by this: Take it easy for 1 whole tank. Let it warm up, ride it for a little bit, let it cool down, repeat process for the whole tank. My experience, its enough for all the tolerances to settle in, and i havent had a problem yet doing that after 3 yearly rebuilds....but everyone has their own method. AS for aftermarket parts, well, youre not actually breaking in the exhaust or carbs, its the motor (pistons, rings, gaskets etc) that "breaking in" refers to, so dont worry about when you break it in, or what ya got bolted to it. Just take it easy at first, and you shouldnt see a problem. Have fun, take chances, go fast!
  6. i dont think ill go too big. but youll definiely be hearing from me in the next month, thanks!
  7. YEAH MAN. I just changed mine, thought it looked kinda shiney there was metal in it...strained it and realized it just wear from the clutch, no chunky bits of metal that will mess shit up (like the ones that blew up my buddys z400, haha stupid suzuki! ) ya know?
  8. well if you had dirtbikes before, didnt they all have carbs too or were they fuel injected ???
  9. cool happy birfday to me then huh??? ....
  10. On mine, usually only 1... ....sounds like dirt in the bowl, clean your carbs really good...is there a small dark puddle under the quad, kinda near where the swing arm attaches to the rame?
  11. Im hinting for wifey to pick me up a set of DMC 916's and a Noss cool head, but im planning on boring the engine out over the winter. Will the noss head fit on a bored set of jugs or will I waste a present and ask for something else until i get the work done??? Thanks!
  12. Everyones gonna have their own opinions, but i swear by going easy for 2 whole tanks, and you should be set. Worked for me every time, but it was hard to be that patient....
  13. Its at full throttle, but i think since its more related to engine RPM wouldnt it be something with the reedvalves?
  14. I got an 01 and the higher i climb in the rpms it begins to sputter, and feels like its loading up, then when I shift up, it takes off like a bat out of hell...until it gets up high in the rpms and does the same thing. Any ideas??
  15. Yeah lose the twin K&N's, get an airbox with a power lid...I put those extra KN's on the old ass yamaha 200 that jay rides....it sounds like it burps now, wheelie's like crazy....

Would trying out any different model # plugs show any type of increase or decrease in respect to performance? From what I though, the different plug part # had somethinig to do with the heat...but im not exactly sure what. Any help appreciated. Thanks fellas.
