  7. 5$- $50,000 its all in what your looking for powerwise. if yo u want quicker acceleration lighten the flywheel ,mill your stock head ,get some inframe drag pipes ,vforce2,dune port the jugs like around 1500$ american dollars and youll be just screaming out 4 th gear wheelys down the cobblestone 3 foot wide roads in your home town :blink:but, the local townsfolk will consider you a ufo or alien and likely stab you repeatedly with pitchforks though
  8. id say around 3300$ in my neck of the woods ,not to shabby IMO better list who ported it ,itll entice buyers if it was done by a reputable builder
  9. well if yo u care about your money ...youll only run high quality synthetics like Klotz or amsoil, because if yo u continue to run the generic weedeater oil in your bike your gonna fuck it up big time which will cost you 50 times the money you would have saved by buying your garbage oil. its that important IMO :bolt:just cause it was Sams choice doesnt mean it was a "good" choice.i bet sam walton never had a drag banshee knowing him, his quad was probably made in china like all the other crap they sell at wally world
  10. theres some interesting info on planet sand on this matter, porting a Nikasil jug is kind of iffy ,you have to use carbidew/ a good lubricant and be very careful not to flake around the edges,it can be done. the big names who sell these are wholesalers and will port them before they are plated i n alot of cases for fear of nickle coming off, a 6-8 hp gain is possible on the cubs. the transfers areset in the low 130's and the ex timing comes in around 194-196 on most cub monos from what ive heard. Most dune ported bikes(drag shes) have alot higher timing than that.
  11. yep anything over 4 millimeters requires trenching the cases. the price for the 7 and 10 starts to add up quick on these more exotic type builds ,and as we all know the best bang for the buck is a dune/drag ported 4 mill. i would be inclined to belive if your going to go for a 7 or a 10 mill stroker consider either buying a used engine already setup for one or running a ported cub 4mm which im sure is equal to stock ported jugs with a +7 mm stroke

IRS is fine for utility quads crawling over rocks, but i think itll have way too much body roll in a high speed slicing and dicing trail environment, and the exhaust looks pretty dumb IMO,if its anything like the standard issue predaterd im unimpressed.those things have many handiling issues against them as it is. when will polaris realize we want machines that fuckin rip liek their 2 stroke sled line-up, not slow revving 425lb + boat anchors with snazzy troy lee stickers on them ,maybe well see a Zorak edition sticker kit for the big bad "outlaw" soon.of coarse itll be 200$ more for the stickers though.

  17. the cub is about the only thing worth trying if you got to win and still use stock pipes might as well not compete otherwise IMo because a stock 250r exhaust is actually a pretty good pipe even on a ported 250bike,the banshee pipes on the other hand are completly dog shit and the exhaust is designed all wrong shapes and sizes .they weigh 26lbs complete (ive actually weighed it ) aftermarket is like only 12 pounds complete atleast mill your stock head and run a 15 tooth front

  20. if your talkin about a racing a 450f dirtbike with a piped banshee then yes youll most likely lose ,but a wicked port job and all the right addon goodies will beat it in a straight line if you play your cards right ,kinda depends on how much you wanna put into the banshee ,but even at 347cc you can slay 250cc dirtbikes all day if you have a good setup on your she,now on a track or tight trail is a different story .a four strokes torque is a huge advantage there. the yfz 450 ive been riding lately is pretty impressive, but it can never replace a healthy she and its top speed sucks, it feel like its down 15 mph to me but actually probably only a 5-7mph difference.kinda like any 4 stroke, firs t few gears are torquey but after that its kinda blah and stops pulling unless its got some radical engine work. each gear feels like the last.oh and i respectfully disagree about the porting $$ its a lot cheaper to get anything over 50hp on a banshee than a yfz,sure porting on a yf is cheaper but it adds very little in comparison to +25hp and 10 lbs of torque like on a banshee motor

  22. instead of upgrading the cdi ,upgrade the weakass stock coil ! it makes a more noticable power increase IMO ,get a Nology high out put coil and Nology wires for faster higher revs and lowend response

  24. thats a pretty good summary id say get some elkas up front and rear too scratch the t5's,id get some inframe drag pipes if it were me , i d also gear way up like a 16 or 17 front sprocket ,get some engine ice coolant for the high temps, and ru nan outerware and billet filter plate too.
