I was riding today and all of the sudden my shee sounded like shit... i read a post reeds going bad.... tell me what you think I was riding normal...then slowed down to make a turn by my friends house...(real slow turn....cant piss of his parents) then when i got back on it , it was like poping and shit...and i don't mean the exhaust i mean like if you were hitting a pencil on your computer desk but in no specific order...( IE not like it was something hitting in the cylinder..at a steady beat) then i turned around freaked out so i shut it off as i coasted down the hill so if it was bad i wouldn't make it worse...and try to get as close to the house as possible... then got tired of slow and started it again and it sounded fine....when i pulled in the garage it sounded normal and then i thought maybe i could here a little rattle on the right side but It is VERY possible i was hearing things.... info--- Difficult starting past week... left carb leaks gas when off if gas is left on I have flat slide carbs and one bolt from the four bolt reed cage is suddenly missing thanks for your help Colin uh-oh.... new info... the noise isn't loud anymore but i can here it when idleing.... it is coming from behind the clutch cover this doesn't seem good.... please have good news

yes... positive.. My kickstarter does rattle but this was a different noise... and i have a spring holder for it.... thanks tho

Working around the TORS is simple... the little black box above the left carb.... unplug it then either rework your cables and take of the carb boxes...or buy a tors eliminator kit I got nothin on your jets

well works shocks aren't the best in the buisness....but if you have to have works you got the right set.... the only thing i have really heard is at the top of the shock where the remote goes in...breaks loose alot....

You can't use Power Core 2's with SST's.......

took the carbs off and looked at the back side and the hose on the back was leaking.... the antifreeze was running down aroun the base of the cylinders.... i replaced the hose and that fixed the leak thanks alot

If you know alot about top ends and its not too much trouble you should take the jugs off and make sure the rings were put on right in there grooves and and the right size for your cylinder... are you getting compresion on that side???

Well, the verdicts in.....its green.... That doesn't seem good, where could it be comeing from??? I can't find shit!!!

I just rebuilt my top end and am in the process of breaking it in now, I am leaking a mistery subsance, I am letting it drip into a mason jar so i can see what it is....(pray for that part to take a while!!!) i am not sure but think it might be from the base of my left cylinder.. if so can i use silicon to aid the gasket ( which is new ) and if i do how do i get the cylinder off next time?!?!?! :baseball_wibble:
