  2. well when it was happening I couldn't even get the bike to idle..I'm fairly decent with jetting but by no means great at it. No matter what i changed in the carbs the bike wouldn't change. When it would rev up it would take a while to rev back down to idle..my first thought was air leak somewhere but I checked every square centimeter of the motor. There was also some unburned gas in the exhaust..My timing is stock so it is shouldn't be advanced to much unless it change on its own I'm thinking the fuel issue and detonation at this point. I just put the stock head back on in order to run regular fuel..I should have it up and going by morning.. I'll be sure to let you guys know how I make out....

  5. Thanks guys for all the input!!! the hq always helps out...Well I am going back to the stock head. I need some studs if anyone has any and the coolhead is up for grabs..I also finally broke down and bought a trinity single carb setup....So after the stock head will solve my compression issue, and the carb should solve aything before the intake ports...trying to shoot a little more for reliability..thanks guys, appreciate it... you may have just saved me a motor!!!! :biggrin:
  6. coolhead, 19cc, 93 octane...normally runs good with the 93, but after the rebuild it started runnning very badly..I'm putting the stock head back on.. I've had way to many problems with the coolhead..

  9. After riding for a bit with out going WOT, the bike will load up and it sounds like it floods out the left cylinder. Just started doing it out of nowhere. Cylinder is soaked with gas in the exhaust. Tried rejetting with no luck. AFter going WOT for a few it will clear out. I changed the reeds thinking the pedals where stuck open but that wasn't the problem..I have still have stock carbs with the tors. Picking up a 2 into 1 soon.. I have a pro design head and was thinking mad the o ring between the two pieces of the head are leaking flooding out the cylinder, Could that be possible? Thanks guys

  11. lakes motorsports, bored, honed, and sent me two pistons to match for 3 hundo.....with all gaskets, wristpins and everything...not a bad deal in my eyes...it made me feel good knowing that he had the pistons there to match it up...
  12. I have a 2000 blaster with a 240 kit. Blue, fmf pipe and silencer...I bought it for my niece but she doesn't want to ride. I need a +6 swinger ( cracked mine) and a 2 into 1 carb. A set of aftermarket carbs would be ok, just looking for a single set up... Any ideas or other trades considered...Blaster rips good, but I need to get rid of some bikes..
  13. you want the opening of the clip 180 degrees to the opening in the piston..
  14. make sure it's jetted right...My buddy had some 340's in his stock carbs and the left cylinder would fart and pop...Dropped down to 260's i think??? Ran great... Bike can't burn that kind of fuel.. it was just soaking the plug..Try flipping the carbs around and see if the right cylinder does it. Just need some extra hose to do a little re routing of some lines..If it still does it I would think it was something internal...best of luck to ya..

  16. Picked it up, fixed it and looking to get rid of it...Have too many bikes.. it's a 2000 with a vito's 240 it. Fmf pipe and silencer..runs good and strong..Only has back brakes.. Looking to get like 1200 OBO.. Bike is in rhode island...will post pics tonight

  20. looking to get rid of the cool head for a milled head... great shape, 19cc domes.. Would like to get a stock milled head if posible...Or just seeing what i could get in trade for the head.. thanks guys...pipes? carbs?? let's talk
  21. I run an "aggressive dune port".. just depends on how you ride... I lost some low end but when the power comes in on top in comes on VERY hard...I ride mostly gravel pits... If your riding trails just ge a mild port...With a few light mods you should take a 450...just don't under estimate them....I have sen some BAD 450's around...

  23. I have raced 250r's,3 wheelers, tecate 4 and 3 wheelers, I don't know if they should but not one 250 that I raced with my stock bike beat me..maybe the conditions or just the rider.. who knows..The guys who posted previously before me are right. RACE HIM, when in doubt, just race :biggrin:
