see thats what I thought I never thought different but upon researching this I found that some people perfer balljoints for trailriding and well my banshee is not exactly one to stay clean too long........lol do you know what the warranty is like on the quicksand arms?
-
Also I've been checking out the Quicksand arms.Whats the warranty like on these??? I like the price on them too! I've read about being able to get vw balljoints for some arms would they fit on these? Need some info........
-
I had my eyes set on some janseen mx tech arms but then chnged my mind because of the heim joints I ride some really nasty shizzle and I'm wanting a reputable arm with a lifetime warranty with ball joints...... around the $650 range. does anyone know of any info. I've searched and searched.Tired of searchng.......

I'm hoping someone that build shocks will chime in or something....it will be extremely hard to turn the shaft yourself and chroming the shaft costs $150 I hads to do that to my rear shock when I rebuilt it...just thought it would be a really conventional way to fix it I'm sure the shaft would cost atleast $100 but thats better than paying $200 for a set of shocks that arnt fully rebuildable..........
-
Yeah I see where your getting at about people not having the intellectual capacity to rebuild a shock.I mean for godsakes who likes to learn new shit anyway...excuse me if i offend the quad droople cheeseburger inventors that weigh 600lbs...no seriously though I'm not going to buy any of these shocks they were given to me and I thought well I can just rebuild this 1 and then have a complete set...If I have to drop like $200 on a set of stock shocks I'll just save that for a set of elkas............ Gimmeabeer......Makes no sense to what I said....... a company is there of course to make money.... but I have seen several busted 450 shocks and people just abandone that set to buy aftermarket because of the inablity to buy the replacement parts you need..so they would initially be making somewhat more money if they would just produce the parts needed to rebuild the 450 shocks that they claim are rebuildable in every aspect.......sheeew!
-
nope.yamaha only sells replacement shocks and not shock parts which is retarded...why sell rebuildable shocks if your not going to sell replacement parts for it also?..................Any know of anywhere else maybe shock builders on this board could get one?
-
anyone know where I could get a shock shaft for a 450? I got a free set of yfz shocks but one of the shocks has a borken shock shaft on it...any info ?...........

I know all two strokes pretty much run the same way...all I'm saying is that is what I done and thats how it started everytime id that leads to being a bad seat then thats ok as lone as it is starting 2nd or third kick everytime its fine with me...but evendentally its doing something because if you done touch the gas your leg is going to get tired...but if yougibe it a lil itll start no prob...weird i guess but it work I'll check the seat when I take it all apart again to powder coat some stuff thanks for your help though.......

I didn't say nothing about holding the throttle open I just said I would twist the throttle a couple time with out even trying to start it then I owuld kick it without giving it gas and it would start as if it had no gas in the carb...
-
ok I think I may have figured it out...yesterday I cleaned my carb out and took a ride up on my hill and back down and pulled the carb back off..it was filthy So i say that was problem #1 so I pick up a new filter do the same thing it is clean.I keep riding finally I get it nice and warm and shut it off kick kick kick kick it won't start so I'm like WTF finally I just sit there a minute wonder so I give it a couple twists on the throttle and kick it it pings i give it a little more and it starts up.I went riding today and as long as I gave it gas before I kicked it, it would fire up 2nd or 3rd kick I guess its not getting enough gas......ran great today! 8hrs on a tank and a half of gas......and perfect weather....kinda makes me proud to own a banshee!

I'll mess around with everything once again Ill throw in a 55 and see what happens hopefully that will fix it I'll also turn the airscrew down .5 to see if that helps it i don't think i have done that yet. I know the jetting is right on up top the plugs say so....besides if it wasn't on it would have already melted down I've road it this way about 10 times with the carb like this and it still pulling strong.... I'll check for airleaks once again.. another thing I have been thinking about is the airfilter just sucking dirt it bad conditions. i am running a pod with no outerwear..... If I get it tuned right I'll definatly fill in the gaps on this thread for people in the future. Also is there anyway I can check to see if the bore on the carb is worn as stated in this thread? that may be a good excuse for an airstryker. :yelrotflmao:
-
That has happened when I first got my 2 into I burnt it down because of an airleak when I rebuilt it i sealed it up really tight with gaskets and sealant. the plugs look fine.....it got me stumped its not giving me any signs of what it could be. sometimes when I hold the throttle wide open itl start like the 3rd kick or something ..better than like 20 kicks. maybe the motor just doesnt like the 2 into 1. I just cant see going bigger on the pilot again i mean Ive flooded it once or twice but bigger than a 45 on a mild motor?.............
-
I've got a cut harness just re-wried recently took out everything that isn't needed. i narrowed that out! it has to be the carbs you can throw the stocker back on they have 310 main and stock pilots and it runs perfect no hard starting problems.I just don't understand whats causing it I've searched on here but noone has had any probs like this as far as searching goes. Should I take the pilot down I know that would make it harder to start cold but that would not give it so much gas when warm..I don't have any flooding problems. this saturday everyone is going on a big ride here in wv so I thought I would get her out and dialed in. I don't really want to run the stockers..........I'm stumped!

Alright guys my banshee has 157 psi in each cylinder great spark good fuel. I can go out there in the snow start it, no problem after months of not riding just choke and it starts but after I ride it for awhile. It gets warmed up and won't start worth a shit! It started this during the end of last summer when I went to a 2 into 1 graydon with a 35mm pwk it has 162 mains, 45 pilots, and the airscrew is 2 truns out. I've searched but can't find what the deal is It takes about 20 kicks to get it started when its warm. it pulls great the plug are a little on the rich just a darker brown but thats it I'm stumped also I forgot to mention i bumped the pilot up to a 45 and this was going from a 25 still no difference just made it really easy to start when cold still the same starting issues when hot! any info would be great let me know.

A Walking salesman was walking around town doorstep to doorstep, soon he had been to every house in town so he asked someone if they knew of anywhere he could try to sell some stuff? Soon he got word of the Smiths which lived way up on a hill secluded from everyone. He makes the long walk up the hill and way back in the woods, Finally he's at the doorstep and starts knocking. Noone answers...He knocks again, still noone answers but he can hear them talking inside. the salesman walks over to the window and sees a naked woman laying on the bed playing with her nipples and pointing at something so he looks to see what she is pointing at, to see a guy standing with an umbrella beating his meat at pointing back at her. the guy is like scared so he runs down the hill and goes to a gas station. The clerk asks the salesman, What's wrong? the salesman said "I was just up on the hill and those are some wierd people"! The clerk said "Why what were they doing?" The Salesman said "Well, the girl was laying naked on the bed playing with her nipples and pointing and then there was a guy standing in front of her naked holding an umbrella and beating off and pointing back at her!" The clerk looks at the salesman and said "Did you knock?" the salesman says "yes!" I looked through the window and saw this! the clerk then said Don't worry that was the Smiths they're def... she was telling him to go milk the cows and he was saying fuck you its raining outside!
