  4. ok guys I'm going to get rid of my 2 into one and i cant remember what dual 35's feel like so the only thing I've been running for about 2 years is stocker and my single 35mm airstryker. So withthe mods listed which would be better for me in the woods I.E. bottom end and throttle response dual 33's or dual 35's i like how the stockers feel but think i coul maybe benefit a little more from dual bigger carbs?
  5. had it about a year i'm going to switch to dual carbs I would like to get $230 shipped or trade for a set of dual pwk 33mms let me know what you got this thing will come with a streamline cable and 35mm pwk airstryker... Josh
  6. I agree , I've been trying to get this thing jetted in for a month now. it takes every day i have off. I rode lastweek since it is rideable. I just cant' get it to clear up all the way down bottom.. I put a new 35mm pwk to see if maybe it was the carb and can't get that one jetted in either all the ign is new and no airleaks so maybe the motor is just starving for air downlow today I put a 40 in there and coul tell a difference but thenit fouled a plug so I got pissed and put it up...oh well bnack at it again tomorrow.
  7. It's got a 42 in there now and the airscrew is 3 turns out..I'm putting a 40 in there tomorrow since that is all i have.. I called denniskirk cause they have them listed in there mag but they are 5.99 plus 7.00 shipping
  8. like stated above I'm wanting a #38 for a keihin pwk the local shop says they have them in all their books but everytime they try to get them they say they don't make them......can somebody hook me up
  9. I answered my own question. I'm looking at sudco.com and according to this I have a pwk 35mm airstryker thats what his were different than mine! Also I just found out from that site that you can get slides that will lean a motor out I have a 45 in mine right now I guess that hould be fine..we'll see tomorrow..
  10. Alright I think I pretty much got it nailed........its not the carb and it was electrical...we switched carbs from mine to my buddies pwk 35 (i thought he had dual 36s but they were 35 pwks)...anyway it still wouldn't run! I had to just happened to put my new IMS desert tank on today and didn't have the front plastics on...so after we put the known good carb on there...when I revvd it a big blue flash caught my eye everytime i revved it. so I looked to see what it was and it was my voltage regualtor arching to the aluminum cdi relocator bracket.. I fixed this grounding problem. put my carb back on bumped the main from a 165 to a 178(may need to go a tad richer) and the pilot up to a 45 the airscrew is 3 turns out it still a tad rich but i only had a 35 and a 45 pilot I'm going to pick uplike a 38 and 40 pilot and see if that doesnt clean me up on bottom! I'll have pics up sometime of the new desert tank. and I really need some help establishing what carb I have it is totally different than his 35mm pwks....mine has like 4 over flow outlets on it like 2 on top 2 on the side and his has only 2 and also on the air side of the carb mine has like lil flangles in there and his doesn't I'll post pics cause it weird....... Josh
  11. yeah thats right snop thats how the float level was set. as for the airscrew there is no oring its just the airscrew and spring. the carb is spotless. its just confused the hell outta me and the shitty thing is that noone around here rides a banshee in trails that has been built... so I have to buy a new 35mm to see if it will even run right and if it still doesnt than I'm out that money too.. It's rideable if it is kept clean out or you keep it in the band but as soon as you let off and putt it starts to load and you have to clean it out again.....now that I think about it would a 36mm airstryker possibly let me know if this 35mm is bad. so say I switched this carb to a 36mm airstryker and get it running right on that carb that should let me know if something is up on this carb? don't know how close they are but thought I'd ask I may be able to try out a 36mm to see if i can get it running right........
  12. alright guys I said I took the box off and put a pod on.. It's not electrical the stock carbs run perfect on there. and for the record the whole elctrical system is brandnew cdi, coil, stator and wiring harness because i bought the bracket that goes under the tank.. this is strictly a carb issue I've been at this along time but I just dont know why I cant get the slow circuit on this carb to lean out evrywhere else is spot on except for this one circuit. I took the carb apart and cleaned it adjusted the float and all I can see nothing wrong with it.
  13. right now im at a 165 main 35 pilot needle dek clip on leanest setting airscrew 4 turns out....I'll check the float tomorrow.. I guess if that doesn't fix it I'm going to be looking for a carb so I can see if maybe this one just has something wornout........ Josh
  14. ok been doing somer readong and now i am questioning what size carb i have on there its says pwk then on the right side like on the lip of the bowl flange it says s65a2 been looking but cant find anything.........
  15. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...;hl=endofitall9 theres the link. I guess i did have probs up top at first!......sorry Now I have no problems other than it loading up when your putting around or it sittin there. its just hesitant taking off.. but it runs good all over.. I've been to every builder around here and everyone around has told me to go with a 33mm because the slow circuilt is getting too much fuel with the 35. I took it in consideration because it sounds right smaller carb equals less fuel which mean it could possibly be adjusted out by the airscrew. Every one has looked at the carb also. you say adjust the float to 11mm I dont think I ever read or heard anything about the float letting the slow circuit get more air. keep it mind that im not running a box right now it is with the pod! Josh
  16. is it a PJ if so thanks but no thanks i have heard they are a pain in the ASS
  17. No, I don't think I ever said anything about it not running good on top It will damn near rip you of through all the gears it runs fine now I just cant get it to quit loading and I'm at the very smallest pilot that i can get which is a #35 if I try to keep it cleaned out it will run just fine but if you have ever tuned one and have had it right on you can tell when something on the carb it wrong. right now the airscrew is 4 turns out and ever time i turned it a lil more out it would get better I know this is my problem so I either need to know if anyone out there makes a smaller pilot than a 35 or i need to get a 33mm.. or if there is anyway possible to make the slow circuit lean out besides adjusting the airscrew like the needle.ect.
  18. alright guys I thought it was the airbox I had amde that wasn't letting it get enough air ...so I got a uni pod with outerwear and stuck on the carb and the pilot is still to big and its not letting it get enough air. the airscrew is past 3 turns and it still isn't letting the motor get enough air its a 35mm keihin pwk with a #35 pilot any other suggestions I'm looking for a keihin 33mm pwk but if I can make this 35 work ill keep it mods are in my sig Josh
  19. I have a single 35mm keihin pwk i would like to trade for a single 33mm keihin pwk....... Josh
  20. Well I've turned the airscrew out 3 turns and it is almost all cleaned up on the bottom I would say 1/2 turn more would do it but I'm not going too I've always went by rule of thumb if it has to go past 2 turns then you need a smaller pilot..the problem is I cant find a smaller pilot. I guess if I can't then Ill have to modify the box once more. I know after I have gotten the pilot cleaned up that midrange and topend are way lean it pops and crackles after you get in about 3rd so i havn't even tried to take it past 3rd without adjusting the needle and main. Anyone know wher I can get a smaller pilot than a #35.
  21. yeah. I'll fiddle with the airscrew tomorrow. otherwise I took measurements I'm going to put tubing in there so I can buy some like moose carb to airbox boots for a 35mm carb and don't have to hunt for rubber that will make the transition. the peice of aluminum I need is 8 inches long 2 1/4''OD x 1/8'' wall x 2''ID thats the same as the inlets on the stock airbox so after I order my pipe which is $25 dollars with shippin I'll cut the old out weld the new in and then I should be all setup nicely..........thanks for the help snop..I'll post back to let you know what happens tomorrow when I adjust the airscrew further out
  22. No it not the same size as the carb its smaller i took the stock boot from the airbox flipped it, put the big end on the carb and stretched the small end over the tubing.. I'm trying to not cut the old tubing out and put in a bigger diametr and buy 2 carb to airbox 34 35mm carb boots when i just need 1.. I guess if I cannot get a smaller pilot jets this is what will happen..unless tomrrow I back the airscrew out like 2.5 or 3.0 and it leans the pilot out.. the fact is its fat down low so either it need smaller pilot "which I don't know where to get" or it needs a bigger tube put in the box (trying to avoid)
  23. the box is 8 inches long by 6 inches wide and 4 inches deep the inlet in the box is a little under 2 inches.. the filter is a unifilter 6 inches lone and like 3 inch diameter 2 inch clamp If I could find a smaller pilot the jetting would be fixed i believe I've been on here all evening searching I havnt backed the airscrew out past 2 turns..tomorrow I'll back it out a max of 3 if that doesn't fix it then I'll definately need a smaller pilot or make it get more air "a larger diameter tubing and more welding.. any idea as to where I can get some jets?
  24. yeah I usually let it warm up then putt around for about 10 min then do a wide open test... the main jet is not what I'm worried about that can be dialed in easy..the lowend problems really suck I have a 35 pilot in there and every book I have says thats the lowest pilot for this carb I can get..you can play around in 1st and 2nd second just normal riding take the plugs out and they are soaked.. If i could get that figured out then the rest should be easy to get dialed in.. I've open the airscrew up to 2 turns out and the plug still get soaked... could I get a needle that will lean the bottom out..if so what kind. The top was good until I put holes in the box now it just acts lean as it bogs up top and breaks up.. please help me fix the lowend tho keep the stuff coming snop..thanks Josh
  25. ok I understand how you say I'm lean, but it just doesnt' seem right. I left the carb the way it was when I bolted on the airbox and it was so rich it done good for me to take off.. Now after all the headache I drilled 6, 3/4 inch holes in the box 4 in the bottom and 2 in the back. it does seem lean on top now, 6th gear breaks up bad and it is sometimes hesitant when hitting the band.. I know the bottom is fat as shit it loads up just sitting there and start puffin smoke bad....I guess when I get time I'll jump up to like 1 152 or 155 main as the 162 is just too rich it will barely even take off.. it has baffled the shit out of me I don't know what to do.. it seems like bottom is rich, mid is really good and way up top it doesnt run worth a crap..
