  1. EXACTLY....PIA to ride...Always gotta be wound up to get any power...Ridden proper they can turn track times similar to a 250 though...By a few seconds anyway, so obviously they are capable of hauling ass... Brad
  2. Sounds like HMC "Home Made Chrome"....The Vacum Sputtering system...It is popular for wheel makers/platers. Nothing wants to stick to the stuff in the way of brake dust and such. I dunno about longevity though...??? Probably a lil differant process, but it sounds very similar. Brad
  3. I prefer Polished Alum for the reasons already mentioned. All ya gotta do to prevent exposure/dullness of your hard work is to Seal the job up with a sealer. One that has worked well for me is called ZOOP Seal...It does not yellow like a clear coat, it is not a wax or a polish, it is simply a sealer that delves deep into the pores of the metal and it holds on pretty damn good. Do a Google for ZOOP...I recomend anyone that has put any work into polishing to try it or something similar. Chrome is nice and all but it is not gonna last like a Polished part will that is Sealed properly. Brad
  4. Brad thats simple bro....Tell her you will buy her some jugs too...TIT for TAT if you will...haha...That is a WIN WIN proposition for you... Brad
  5. Dude....I lived in Salwa, Mangaf & Abu Halifa...Was in Kuwait from 96-2000...Lots of friends there, and my wife is Kuwaitie as well.. You know the guys at Desert Star trading??? Jafer & Salam are cool guys to deal with...Their mechanic Ricky is kickass too...He did all the tunes on my Streetbikes. They are in Shuwaik as well. Cut your Fenders bro...You are in nothing but SAND...Do you ride at Mutlah Ridge over in the land of Bettow???haha...Use to ride the Ridge all the time. Never went south much to ride...Thats where most of you hang out though.. Yala Yala Yala Sha bob... Brad
  6. I am new here but have seen another similar type forum through its inception from 98'. There were many growing pains, and as it grew there were more and more personalities. With all that growth came clashing personalities and we witnessed many veteran members part ways which really took away from the forum as a whole. There were many disgrundled over it but we made it through all that and these guys are still missed and would be welcomed back anytime. The thing is that they should have never left under the circumstances that they did. If ya wanna leave then fair enough, but I don't agree with this kind of shit at all. So what if one guy rubs one the wrong way??? Big deal...Not like ya live under the same roof. Put eachother on iggy for awhile. Hell I got a few kiddies on ignore so I don't get temted to say the wrong thing. I think maybe a few have forgoten why they started coming here in the first place. Meat I think Walt simply said it was the kiddie factor and such that kept him away for awhile. His interpatation of what you posted is his alone and I doubt that you are gonna change that regardless to what you say. I think you are getting way to caught up in it. Nobody called you out in the first place... Brad
  7. Is this it??? I am from SE Washington...I think I need to get some Sand Stars...haha St. Anthony Dunes Brad
  8. My Banshee was basically stock when I did my FMF pipe set. I used 280mains stock pilots and the needles were on the second clip setting. But I am at 2400ft above sealevel...It was perfect Brad
  9. I did my mods one at a time...Not that many really, but one at a time. I would say that the pipes & proper jetting is what woke my Banshee up the most. I went with the FMF Fatty Pipes and really liked how the power came on so much earlier. It turned it into a whole other bike at that point... I would say do pipes & jets first... Brad
  10. Why a Check??? It only gives a guy one more chance to screw you over..If his check bounces your bank will probably spank you for it not to mention you are still out the money. Money Order is the ONLY way to go IMO... Much luck getting the greenbax... Brad
  11. From what I have read it seems that the Pilot MAY or may not need to be taken up a few sizes. I already moved my clip up one notch leaner. I expect my air screws are gonna need tweeked as well...I am hoping i don't need to change my mains as I have read that its not needed???? Brad
  12. Ebay $70bux...No booklet etc... Anyways they are in and the bike just needs to be taken out to see where its at for Jetting. Brad
  13. Cool Beans BRO!!!....That is all that was making sense...BUT...I was not gonna start cutting tim I made sure what was up. Cheers & Thanks Brad
  14. OK...So I am putting my Reeds in and the Rubber boot that slips into the stock reeds wants to hit my Vforce cages...??? WTF?? Brad
  15. If you have patiance you can pick a set up at Ebay on the CHEEP...I got mine "V-Force 2's" for $71... Brad
  16. Thanks for the replies guys...Got some coming.. Brad
  17. I need some replacement pedals for my cages...Looked around..Rockymountain has them as "Out of Stock" ...Not much return doing a google. Thanks Brad
  18. I had a 96' ZX-7R...It was OK...In comparrison to my 96' Gixxer it was a POS, plain and simple no comparrison. All the same it was fun to ride as are all bikes, but not even close to being in the same league... BTW...Mine was stolen...THEN I bought the Gixxer and I was shocked at the power differance. Both carbed...Both 750's...WTF???? Should at least be close...uh uh.... Brad
  19. The uh Super QuadraFire SplitFire Iridium platinums..Can't believe nobody else mentioned them... I actually run NGK's myself... Brad
  20. You try pulling your choke out when you are riding??? You definatley need Jets...I would start with 320-340 with your listed mods....Depends on your elevation a lil bit as well.. Read the Jetting thread in the FAQ..It is a HUGE aid in schooling yourself in jetting. Brad
  21. I agree...For a COMPLETE rebuild it would not be a good idea...Although you do get a general understanding of the internals of a shock...Or at least I did. With some common sense you may or may not be able to find a commonality with the detailed schematic linked. So maybe an FAQ on shox in general with regard to rebuilding/refreshing/re-sealing them??? Brad
  22. OK....So I have been going to rebuild my front works shox...Anyways I contacted Oscar at WORKS and he faxed me some documentation for a rebuild that has a parts breakdown and such... Well....After poking around I found this online on their website..So I thought I would share it because a Shock is a Shock...If they are leaking down then the seal needs replaced..Simple as that. So with some common sense you could use this for almost any application IMO...Looks pretty general. WORKS shocks Rebuild Instructions An FAQ on Upgraded Shox I think this would possibly be a good link for FAQ??? Brad
  23. Awesome Bike man...Had a tricked out 96' Anyone looking...These are reliable FAST ASS bikes that will carve with anything. Good Luck on the sale. Brad
  24. Yes...It was...heh...Evidently not a very good one though... The funny thing is...I got this DORK on IGNORE "BansheeFreestyler" but I still read these threads...This kid is BHQ's BITCH...hahaha Brad
  25. Ya all' must have some REALLY jacked up Pickups...My ramp plans are the lil Fold up aluminum ones that sit on the Tailgate... Brad
