  1. FAST Racing, one of our site sponsors, has them.
  2. Little Johnny came home from school one day and said to his father, "Dad, what can you tell me about politics? I have to learn about it for school tomorrow." The father thought some and said, "Okay, son, the best way I can describe politics is to use an analogy. Let's say that I'm capitalism because I'm the breadwinner. Your mother will be government because she controls everything, our maid will be the working class because she works for us, you will be the people because you answer to us, and your baby brother will be the future. Does that help any?" Little Johnny said, "Well, Dad, I don't know, but I'll think about what you said." Later that night, after everyone had gone to bed, Johnny was woken up by his brother's crying. Upon further investigation, he found a dirty diaper. So, he went down the hall to his parent's bedroom and found his father's side of the bed empty and his mother wouldn't wake up. Then he saw a light on in the guest room down the hall, and when he reached the door, he saw through the crack that his father was in bed with the maid. Because he couldn't do anything else, he turned and went back to bed. The next morning, he said to his father at the breakfast table, "Dad, I think I understand politics much better now." "Excellent, my boy," he answered, "What have you learned?" Little Johnny thought for a minute and said, "I learned that capitalism is screwing the working class, while the government is sound asleep ignoring the people, and the future's full of shit."
  3. What's your elevation? What size pilots, and how many turns open are the air mixture screws?
  4. .020 is the gap, or use a matchbook cover. If the gap is too wide, one side will quit firing.
  5. Loud doesn't equal fast, but it does equal pissing off people, and giving them something to complain about. With a lot of the riding areas requiring sound checks, and/or areas getting shut down, having a loud banshee, just for the noise factor, doesn't make any sense at all.
  6. Switch the plug wires from one side, to the other, and see if the problem moves to the right side. Check the pick-up gap on the flywheel. Put new spark plug boots on, if those two ideas don't work.
  7. They have fragrances that can be added to fuels. Maybe that is what you are smelling?
  8. 15/41 I'm running 15/40 with a 4mm stroker, CPI's, 34mm Mikuni's, and pods.
  9. So they don't separate. The crank webs, and pins are splined, so it's just pressed together.
  10. The Serval cylinders aren't cheap. Maybe someone here has a good set of stock jugs for sale.
  11. If you need a new cylinder, you might want to check out the Serval cylinders. You will need a new set of pistons. 66.5mm is the max you can bore stock cylinders, and both need to be the same. There's no point in buying one cylinder, and boring it to the max, from the start, just so it matches the bore of the other cylinder. Replace both cylinders, pistons, and so on. The cheap way now, will cost you a lot more, in the long run.
  12. Two strokes are pretty simple to work on, and the manual is a big help. Just take your time, and if you have any problems, somebody here will be able to get you going again.
  13. It's ugly, but fixable. Hopefully the crank isn't hurt. You should go ahead and tear the bottom end apart, and check the crank, bearings, and seals. It's hard to say what caused the problems, without tearing it down further.

  15. I'd have to say that you are lean on the left cylinder, and it's probably from a leaking base gasket, reed cage gasket, or a torn, and/or leaking intake. Being lean will cause hard starting issues, and a power loss.
  16. One per bearing, but you can buy two more, and put them in, if you want. I did.
  17. Your gearing is keeping your top speed down, unless you have over sized rear tires. If you can't get good traction, then you are wasting time racing. With a port job, you should be able to pull 14/41 gearing very easy, which is stock. You've got to gear it right, and have traction, or it's over.
  18. The simple way to check for too lean, or too rich, is to pull out the choke, when riding, and see if it gets better, or worse. If it gets better, you are lean, and if worse, you are rich.
  19. Have you tried to replace the spark plug boots? Is the stator a stock one, or is it a Ricky Stator POS? Your compression shouldn't be off that much between cylinders, so it looks like it's time for a new top end.
  20. Is the stator stock?
  21. Make sure that both air mixture screws are adjusted the same amount of turns out.
  22. I used to run one, until I installed some 34mm Mikuni carbs, and it cut down the fuel flow so much, that I was running the bowls almost dry. I took it out.
  23. 340 main sounds a bit rich. I had a similar setup, and 320's ran good, but every bike is a bit different. You may just be out of tune, a bit.
  24. The reason you run better times on his bike, than him is simple, you weigh less. Each additional 8 lbs, costs 1 HP.
