1. Well my personal experience with Trinity and their customer service was excellent. No they didn't call me when the recieved my cylinders nor did they call me when it was done. I had a lengthy discussion about my porting and other mods, riding style and what I expected. They told me the mods that would best benefit my style of riding and thier porting. I received the juggs on my door step exactly 2 wks and 3 days. My first conversation they told me turnaround was about 2 wks. So actually pretty good compared to how long other porters are taking. Another thing I was very impressed about was the tuning of the motor. They also told what main, piolt and needle to use when tuning, it was spot on down to the clip position. So basically I didn't have to tune it at all. That to me says a lot on how many motors they build they know exactly how to tune them. This tells me their reproduceability in porting and engine mods is spot on, no variables here. Maybe this was just my experience but a good one nontheless. I did call once during the process and they told me exactly when my juggs would be done, though if you expect to have your butt kissed every step of the way you may want to look elsewhere. If you want a kickass motor from a company that won't leave you guessing at tuning with proven reliability, then Trinity can make it happen. My 2 cents, take it or leave it.
2. What the customer service list? In the end broke wether you wanna admit it or not customer service does not make the banshee go faster. You think they have poor customer service for a reason? I dont know say being swamped with orders because of thier reputation for building a good motor and having ungodly amounts of R&D time on shee motors. Quit letting customer service make your decisions. If you want a motor thats gonna go fast period and can sacrifice getting phone calls from them when they recieve your payment or when they ship it when thier porting it etc go with trinity you will not be disappointed PERIOD. Everyone said the 12 port job from passion was "the shit" "its gonna stomp all other porting" Now look, its for SHIT, but they have good customer service. 288823 What he said. I've always said a poor waitress doesn't make the food taste bad.
3. Holy bajeezus!!!!!!!!! That thing is insane, it's a 150hp skateboard. Wonder whats next, a freakin gixxer powered weedeater chopping down tree's?
4. how much does that usally cost , how hard is it to do ? 288744 Well theres more than one way to do each mod. For increase in compression, you can get the stock head milled for around 60 to 100 dollars. You can buy an aftermarket aluminum head with interchangeable domes for around 200, these offer better cooling also. For timing advance you can get a degree key which has a set degree of advance for around 10 dollars, or you could opt for an adjustable timing plate ranging from 35 for a cast unit to 60-70 bucks for a billet unit. Port and polish jobs range from 200 to 600 depending on who does it and what kind of porting they do. Type of porting depends on your riding style. Mild port around 200 to full drag port around 600. Best bang for the buck is compression and timing advance. Best mod overall is port and polish with pipes a close 2nd.
5. Saw that happen from a motorcycle accident, tib gib fracture of the leg, dudes foot was just hanging limp.
6. Increase compression and advance timing. Port and polish job while you have it apart.
7. lol
8. It's called intake velocity. You want to retain as much of it as you can without restricting your intake. It's a balance as is everything you do to a banshee.
9. Thanks for the replies, got one from Cascade on the way. Plus it was 15% off , woohoo!!
10. Well the theory of the balance tube has to do with sound wave propagation and frequency. Obviously Yamaha thought it was important at one time through there R&D. I don't think this theory was tested on our machines with all these aftermarket goodies, ported and polished cylinders, big bores, long rod cranks, larger carbs, aftermarket filters, etc. I'm sure these modifications would change the sound wave frequency in the intake tract. So can we really assume that a balance tube or even a boost bottle should make an improvement on anything other than a stock machine that it was R&D'd for? Who knows, if it works for you, use it, if it doesn't then see The Rail's thread on "best use for a boost bottle" . P.S. Looks like the spacers crispened the throttle response up a bit, at a cost though.

12. Don't get too comfortable up there, I'll be working on some changes when I get time.
13. If you have a cracked sleeve, be sure and mic the bore. Hopefully it was just a warn piston and not the bore. Either way piston slap will cause the sleeves to fatigue and break. I prefer PRO-X cast pistons because they won't wear your bore as much as forged. I would bet the pieces of that piston are in the case and you may not be able to see them.
14. Wet-Vac, soak with fresh oil, let sit for a day or so then wet-vac it out. Then have fun cleaning your wet-vac. You could use like a big toomey syringe and put a hose on it and suck it out a little at a time.
15. Whats your elevation? I would go the timing plate.
16. Actually most shouldn't be hard to beat, but it will take some time to get me at tetris, unless you get extremely lucky.
17. No No No. I want them all for myself!!! Ok well theres enough to go around I guess.
18. The elka sticker on the stock shock has a placebo effect, it makes you think it's better when it's not.
19. It's a premium member option. You know you gotta have some perks for the 30 skins a year.
20. Make sure your carbs are sync'd perfectly and check compression of both cylinder. Low compression can cause fouling which will be more likely to manifest itself at lower rpm's. Check these before making any carb changes.
21. Looks good BTW, a plug chop is a better indicator though. Check this link for future reference. LINK
22. Yea there will be a day I'll wake up and my high scores will be all gone. I'm not going down without a fight.
23. I noticed they were having a sale on all their billet and vinyl products if anyone was interested. Also some killer deals on Xtreme haulers/rim packages, looks close or better than rockymountain atv's price.
24. Was this an ebay purchase or just in BHQ?
