  1. Yes that could definately add to the silver factor, but replace the clutch and then check the oil again and see where its at............
  2. The lameness factor could be toned down a little though............
  3. Yea, Patriot is up there and closest to you. I opted to send mine out to Jeff at FAST..............
  4. I can agree with dajogejr on the "time on the phone is money thing". But if you don't want the thing comin' apart you need to spend the money, or you will constantly be tearin' it down and replacin' things that break. Do yourself a favor and and spend the money on the right parts. If you can't afford it then you can't play with the big dogs yet................. With cubs and that kind of horsie power you need longer swinger, shocks, longer chain, longer brake lines, better clutch, pipes, larger carbs, intakes, better head, and new pack of fruit of the looms.......... :yelrotflmao: Just so yourself a favor and do your research....................
  5. If you stroke it though, it gives a better angle for the Rods, crank and pistons so it has less stress on the motor. The shorter the stroke the tighter the angle will be and puts more stress on the internals. Stroking will also make the motor that much more reliable, and give more power. Just somethin' to think about..............
  6. dawarrior is right on the clutch slipping thing and the pavement. You will know right away. The silver oil sounds to me like you may have aluminum or metal flakes from wearing parts. If it were antifreeze the oil would be a milky white as stated above. Good luck man..............
  7. What, why would you go back over and clean up a brand new swinger. If it's not good send it back or go with a good company. If it looks like crap that doesn't say much about their product quality, plus if you have to fix it what else did they mess up on and do you want to take the chance with a vital part like that..................
  8. I agree with Loco on this one.................. :shoothead:
  9. Ya, I think I deal with a few of those everytime I work on something................... :yelrotflmao:
  10. :yelrotflmao:
  11. Greyhound, I would have never thought of them. Good to know..................
  12. That was funny, I think that happened to me once................. :yelrotflmao:
  13. If he wasn't such an ignorant a$$ about everything he writes, and comments to. He reminds me of my little brother when he was 4-5 years old. Just wants to open his mouth to hear himself speak. GROW UP.......................... :baseball_bat:
  14. Well from my experience our fridges are dual energy, they work off propane or 110 volts. If you plug the trailer in at least three days prior to your trip it will be nice and cold for the trip. If you don't do this you will be using the propane (which isn't as efficient as 110) to freeze and cool down all your beer, er, ah food. Which it will do, but it takes twice as long. I experimented once and by the end of my 4 day trip my ice was freezing and all was good, but during the trip no ice and food was cool. My next trip I started freezing and cooling my trip food with the 110 system, and all the way through my trip I had frozen ice and cold beer............ Bottom line, plug in the trailer at a friends house if you have to, but plug it in at least three days prior to trip.................
  15. DAMN jet, thats pretty good it would have taken me a week to figure out how to right all that............ :yelrotflmao:
  16. Ya it makes me want to fix my CBR600 that much faster.................
  17. Ya that really sucks, I hope he is pullin' through ok............
  18. You'd bleed it just like you would a car or truck. Take a piece of clear aquarium tubing or any type that would fit over the zerk fitting and squeeze the brake lever like 8-10 times then hold it. Have someone else open the zerk fitting and it should push the air bubbles out, and repeat this 5-6 times....................voila
  19. And now its supposed to go up another .20 a gallon because of the Ali-eska pipeline repair. Great that means it'll go up about .30-.50 a gallon here in California............. ::
  20. That was funny..................... :yelrotflmao: Night, yes you are a lame-a$$, and this thread will make much more sense when you do turn 16 and your mommy and daddy let you start dating. Just an FYI, they really do have teeth, really big ones..............
  21. See there, I knew he would contact ya, dlnoss is a good guy to deal with. Makes an excellent product too.............
  22. Not tight twisty trails, but loggin' roads and stuff because they don't have a lot of torque down low, but wind 'em up and they pull like a freight train..............
  23. Huge difference in cetrifugal weight to spin, with regards to diameter.............
  24. Well first off you should call Jeff and talk to him about his work. But I have never heard anything bad about his work, nor his reputation. A lot of people will chime in shortly that have had port work done by him. He's buildin' me a Cub right now , so I only need a clean-up port, and I trust him 100%. Talk to Loco, dajogejr, and a few others they will hook you up on the referrals................
