Man, this is a huge ass thread and it just started. You should be able to easily retap it, but then once the cooling system is ran a while you may wnat to drain it again to see if you can flush out any shavings from the retapping...............

It's about 70 degrees, and one plug is lean (snow white) and the other one is dead on or chocolate brown (1/2 to 3/4 of the electrode). I'm not sure why this is happening yet. Also not sure if its an electrical or carb related problem either. So I think that I need to check my carb on the right for debris and then move on to the electrical issue. I have always had problems with one plug looking different than the other...........

Are you sure you bled the lines and the caliper on the side that is not grabbing good. You may still have air on that side and wont allow it to grab as hard as the other..........

I think his original bragging about the 70hp may be within range, if its a cubby, but with 34's and depending on pipes, domes, timing..........

I got mine from Jeff at FAST. He sells it by the foot, so just tell him what length of swinger you have and he'll hook you up............

HAve you modified the intake at all. When I first put my cubby in I had to modify the filter's by moving them back in the bike with extension tubes and my plugs looked like your upper right and the other the bottom left. Now I was told that my modified tubes between the carbs and the filter's (to clear the exhaust so it wouldn't burn the outerwears) I was infact introducing vortex's inside the carbs and it messed up my plug chops. Removed the tubes and hooked right onto the carbs and problem solved.............

Well it sounds like you tried the PTR's and the Toomey's, and if you have the CPI's in the mail, then you should be able to figure out which ones perform the best on your motor without dyno sheet's. Because all three pipes will have to be put on the same motor in order to get accurate results so that they have the same mods.............

Try the needle in the middle clip, because the needle adjusts like 1/4 throttle through 3/4, and main jet is like from 1/2 to full throttle.................

Ya, and I've actually seen the after effects of a guy who put the slides in the opposite carb and when it wouldn't go, yes dillweed used a hammer and couldn't figure out why the slides wouldn't move up and down. So my dad bought it from him for $2500 because he couldn't get it to run and it was worth at the time $4000................. Moral of the story: know what you are doing before you try to fix something, and never use a hammer when you can slide it in with your finger...............
