  1. the bore would be 64.5mm or .020 over.
  2. ya once i close the choke and it runs for a minute then it smokes evenly but very little ( normal ) its never high idled with the choke on till i installed the pipes and rejetted . i'll try pulling the stator cover and spray some carb cleaner behind the stator .... LOL i didnt think of checkin seal like that, was gonna pressure test it. but ill try this 1st Thanks
  3. i took the carbs off and pulled em apart. there is a brass tube extending down into the fuel bowl on the left carb but there isn't a tube in the right carb. on the left on when ya pull the choke button ya can blow though it and when closed ya can't, is it possible that when choked its suckin some air from the right carb where it appears the little brass tube should be ?? ohhhh and when choked it smokes considerabley more from the left side than the right, but when the choke is closed and it runs for a minute it smokes equal outta both sides !!
  4. just got done going over the whole topend with carb cleaner and couldn't get any signs of a airleak from around the carb boots, reeds, balance tube, cylinder base gaskets and no rise in rpm what so ever .. i'm startin to get a bad feelin' kinda like its the left crank seal because when i choke it even warm it get a small rise in rpm mebe 50 to 100 rpm or so
  5. yea i'll try that. i only left it chocked for about 5 seconds and closed it then it idled perfect ..... lol it only ran about 3 or 4 minutes and wife was gettin shotgun out hehe it's sittin in my dinin room
  6. i guess i should also add that its only climbing about 200 or 300 rpm with the choke on. its just never done it b4 and it didnt start till after i put on the fat bastards and rejetted .... like i said tho it starts 1st kick. lol race fuel and klotz stays in the house for awhile ..... lol i did the winter build in my dining room
  7. well the list of mods is in my sig .. we fired it up today, it fired up 1st kick. i set up at 350 mains, 27.5 pilots , 2 turns on airscrew, 4th clip on needle. .... runnin stock carbs and needles .. this things idleing pretty high with the choke on so i checked it out for air leaks .. none to be found ... so is there a fast idle adjustment on the stock carbs or should i do a leakdown test
  8. stock needles are fine unless ya can't get the mid tuned right, then i'd opt for some aftermarket needles
  9. lol i'd be checkin out the pilots and the needle. as far as tuning other people motors ... it always helps to treat it like a woman!, take her out and ride her hard put her away wet and tune her up! LOL. ya may wanna try mixin it at 40:1 instead of 32:1, just my 02 good luck gettin' her tuned!!!!!!!!
  10. the 05 se is black with purpe ghost flames ........tight as hell
  11. IMS / Roll Design are the straight up shit! stainless steel shark teeth. They're pricey but well worth it tho. I run the one's with the kick up at the end, have never ever slipped a peg since i put em on
  12. this definately sounds like a lean conditition, bein the left cylinder i'd be lookin at air boots and left crank seal. Good luck!
  13. I'm in the same boat with the swinger bolt. It moves about 1/4" reallu easy but then it's like it hit's a brick wall. so my next option will be to cut the swinger out. we're gonna try to use a really small bottle jack to spread the frame and then use a hacksaw blade and a drill to spin the bolt and hopefully it'll drop out. just not wantin to eat on the powder coat with sawsall
  14. lol time to disect the ol' airbox or get some pod action
  15. if the left side crank seal is bad it will cause that cylinder to run lean and the right side seal will suck oil from the gearcase. ya will need to do a leakdown test ... search the forums there is some detailed threads on it
  16. i've had fox air shox in the past, on our mountain bikes .... they're a high dollar peice of shit! sure if ya want a shock that is constantly needing adjusted and tinkered with then FOX is the shock that comes with a built in headache! i run the works triple rate's but there is 4 guys that ride shee's in our group and theyre runnin double rate shocks... works and elka's i think the elka are a plusher ride than the works, but then i think the elka are da bomb!!!!
  17. i' ran klotz @ 40:1 for years .. but as long as its a quality oil it shoud be all good
  18. i have a gforce in my wifes banshee and its pretty much identical to my durablue eliminator .. exept the axle nut .. ya the fit and finish nice and its strong too!!! she slid into a tree and bent the swing arm but the axle is fine!!!
  19. i just got my fat bastards yesterday the finish is ok but not great, the fit is tight ... the expantion chamber on the right pipe is SOOOOO close to my cool head that it isn't funny "took a hour of fiddling with it so it would clear and not rest on the head. gonna try some 27.5 pilot's and 350 mains 4th clip on the needle will try to get some pix up of em installed
  20. ive been running my vito's crank, sleeves, pistons for like 2 1/2 years now with no problems so far .. the port work made for some sweet gains ... i just ordered a set of fat bastard's to go with the winter clean up!!
  21. there is s special stripper made for plastic bumper cover's and trim , ive used it on plastic b4 and it works good and plastic doesnt melt
  22. i just add a second o-ring .. makes things a bit tight but after 2 seasons it's still quiet
  23. heh i ride with a couple yfz's and a trx540 .. theyre piped and filtered and 1 yfz has other mods too as he runs the oval and tt's ..... muhahhaaa they're TOAST and breathin' klotz hahahhaahaa
