  1. When I purchased my first set of paddles, the salesman told me that less sidewall had less give and the tires lasted longer? Didn't know the difference and have stayed with 10" ever since. Tell me this, Has anyone used Kenda/SkatTrak haulers? I hear they may be a bit heavier?
  2. It's time to change out the current haulers that I have and I found a good deal on some tires that are 1 inch wider. I currently have 20x10x10 and the bike runs great and pulls pretty hard. Will a 20x11x10 make that much of a difference?
  3. Do you have the title for the frame? How much?
  4. This is actually a pretty good thread! Funny thing is, just about everyone that say's that they are crap either has one or two setting around the house. I can see buying the first by error, but the second? Im learning alot from you guys. Thanks!
  5. April 21st photo shows a red and black banshee at the bottom. It looks like the paddles are on backwards, Still have them? How much?
  6. "Did you file the boss you tapped down flat? I use a die grinder and coarse scotchbrite pad, it's very soft aluminum" What is the Boss that he is referring to?
  7. Sorry for the late response, yes, went to dumont on the 30th and returned today the 5th. Pretty good weekend with exception to the wind on Friday.
  8. I've actually ordered the kit, (motion pro) Im headed out this weekend to Dumont and wont have them in time so I went ahead and did what I did for the weekend. Kinda of paniced though, I had t taken apart waiting for the parts only to find out that they will not be ordered until Monday through the dealer. ( I had a $50 refferal card to use) It was kind of strange, the bike sounded very strong but wouldn't idle, I unplugged everything now it idles and dont sound quite as deep? Thats why I started messing with things in the first place. Im hoping the kit will get rid of all my problems. Nothing serious done to the bike, ported by MotoPerfect here in Rancho Cucamonga, 19cc cool head, +4 on the timing with stock 26ers. Not the fastest bike but usually runs pretty strong. Thanks guys!
  9. Oh ya, much appreciated guy's! Found the air screw to be off a bit and the carbs to be way out of sync. The left was lifting slightly before the right did anything. I did as suggested, adjusted from the adjusters on top of the tors and tightened up some slack near the thumb throttle. I turned both tors screws all the way left and the idle is dead on. She runs like a champ now. Thanks! I also unplugged all tors connectors and the emergency brake plug. Shouldn't be any problems with that correct?
  10. Can anyone tell me what a good starting point is for air screw adjustments? I had an issue with the carbs a few weeks back and now I have everything out of whack! I figure that I will just start over from scratch and get the thing dialed in. Also, syncing the carbs, can I make the adjustments in the cable rather than adjusting the tors screws? Thanks!
  11. Whats the cost for the stock carbs with the tors removed?
  12. You have a single or two? Give me a cost including shipping to southern california. Exactly what I am looking for!
  13. I have the blue plastics (below) or, black and white plactic (front race cut) for trade. I also have all three stock shocks (rear just rebuilt) Im looking for 28mm carbs and cable.
  14. Still have the carbs? Do these work with stock intake and stock size pods?
  15. This past season I had my cylinders ported, advanced my timing and went to the pods. Still running stock carbs with the tors system. I raced several 450's at Dumont and had no problems, the 700?, I got him out of the hole, he pulled slightly ahead (1/2 bike) I caught him in 4th and we stayed neck and neck for the last 200' or so. I know a few of the 450's had SOME work nothing major and the 700 had a pipe that I know of. Im not all impressed with my bike but it will take me anywhere I want to go in the dunes. Having difficulties with it today though. Went to fire it up for our first trip and Im getting nothing out of the brake side exhaust. Removed the carb and it was a little cruddy so i cleaned it out and still had problems. I looked into the carbs and noticed that the slides are slightly uneven when I apply the throttle. I attempted to adjust the cables at the carb and screwed everything up! The throttle now sticks and I have given up for the day. I'll try again tomorrow. It did sound better though!
