    they go both slides are in syn facing forward with notch on the engine side, The notch is supposed to face the filter

    I don't know about gunk, but it def doesn't burn clean. It's extremely thick. Which I can see why Yamaha runs it. It'll be safe to run and cover there asses at the dealer ship.
