That is what I thought too, but it does not seem to be the case.

I really don't see a porblem using it on your clutch cover as long as the sealing surfaces are in good shape and are clean. Some asshole keeps doing it to my engines and I have a had 0 problems with it. :biggrin:

Have any of you folks taken a Pingel Dual Feed Petcock (funny word) apart? I have one of mine that seems to not shut fuel off all the way on one of the outlets. I have it most of the way taken apart, but I am not sure how to get the vavle out of the housing. A better question might be what is in this vavle that would make it leak like mine is? I was assuming there is just a ball valve in there this morning, but now I think it may be something more like a barrel vavle. One of you guys must have fixed something like this before............. :ermm:

I have tried to give several things away on here and I could never get anyone to come get it. I hate the Post Office and generally try to avoid it, hence why I didn't want to ship anything unless I was making moiney on the deal. I think RMATV has a pretty good deal on the VF stuff. I;m not sure about eGay. I never noticed more power on or off the dyno compared to my RAD valves.............I did notice that they were lighter and produced less of a transient closure curve than a RAD valves. I did not notice a need to adjust my A/F at all. :geek:

My VF3's last as long as the reeds on my old Boyesen RAD Valves. I don't change them out seasonally. I would buy them again, but I usually get them for free.......... :cool:

I agree. With that said, I cheat and run a CFD simulation before I finalize my design of either sets of components. :biggrin:

I have the pipes for my blue bike that were setup by Matt for what I am using for porting, so I am optimistic with respect to that part of my engine system. Some asshole whacked my case near the front engine mount when milling my crank chamber, so I am dealing with that right now on the engine. Hopefully, I can finish the program without too many other mistakes being made. I fixed the retract tool path that caused it........... At this point I am feeling a bit rusty with the CNC stuff.

In addition to my other question posted above, what do you think about a frame like yours vs. a suspended after market frame with respect to rigidity and improving your time down the track? I think I am sold on the Lectron idea. I need to call Packard one of these days when I get a spare second. I have seen them before and am quite infatuated with weirdo fuel delivery systems these days. I appreciate the offer to borrow yours, but you know me, I like to fool around with my engine stuff more than most folks and would be afraid to screw up your carbs. As an update, I still haven't fired the engine with our stud project in it. I bailed on a hunting trip this weekend so I can spend a day at one of my dyno cells with that engine and the engine for my blue bike. So we'll see what I think of the studs then. I have a half ass plan to get a strain gauge or two on them for the test.
