My book says to either camp on the beach whch requires reservations, or you could camp at the RV resort called Pismo Coast Village. I think we are heading for the beach.
In reference to another post: Green Stickers are Rad.
I am down to meet up whenever. I have a book about where to ride in CA and it says you are supposed to have spark arrestors at Pismo. It also says that you are supposed to have them at Glamis.................which is BS most of the time. I suspect a screen ought to do the trick since the park servces preferred method for checking for such things is sticking a stick down your tail pipe.

You are very wrong. Where did you ever hear that from?
Any two stroke crankshaft can be spin balanced, you will just need to have an accurate fixture to hold the rods whil balancing. This would be in place and sort of in addition to the bob weights used on a normal crankshaft. What it really depends on is how many planes of pins you have on a given crankshaft, as to what you attach to the pins during balancing.
How do you think that the mid-80's Moto GP bikes were able to turn 20k rpm's? It would certainly not be possible for an unbalanced crankshaft.
Silencer lenght all depends on the motor and the exhaust system in question. The principle behind all of this is resonant ram tuning. I would not expect to gain ot lose power characteristics either way unless you were somehow reducing or increasing flow with the modification.
I just got it figure out. My buddy took his bike apart for me and low behold, the Hison pressure plate is thinner on the face than stock. Therefore, the Direct Drive lock up and Hinson pressure plate do work and play well together. I am going to crank out a billet representation of an OEM plate at work tomorrow and should be good to go.
I have a direct drive lock up, a hinson basket, fibers, springs, pressure plate, and a KD pancake bearing set up.
If yours worked, I must be missing something but I can't imagine what it is.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Yeah, the plate fits like the stocker did, but I am afraid that it lets the direct drive lock up setup sit down too far and compress the clutch springs too much without letting the plate press on the fibers. (If any of that makes sense?)
Has anyone had experience with putting a Direct Drive Lock Up on a Hinson Pressure Plate? I seem to not be able to get the two to intall together and get the clutch to function. Do these two parts not work together? I pitched my old pressure plate so I can't compare it to the Hinson. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
