  1. I am an engineer for a racing component manufacturer. I'd atleast call it mild retardation.
  2. Ok, thats good. My other bike had the bearing in there when I bought it and I did not remember it being that way. I shall wite this off to retardation and throw my clutch back together. Thanks.
  3. I purchased a throw out bearing (pancake bearing) for my bike and just got around to trying to install it. There seems to be extra space between the clutch hat and washer face that goes in front of the bearing. This gives the assembly about .125 inch of play. IS this normal? Should there be a thicker washer than the oune provided in front of the bearing? Am I missing something obvious?
  4. I am perpetually a dunken 4 year old.
  5. Don't get me wrong, that's a great drawing, but at this point in the thread, I was expecting to see a cli t.
  6. Now that's funny..............
  7. I'm guessing that it would be like fucking an open window.
  8. J&L ATV also sell some polyurethane grommets. They are probably made by UPP.
  9. I can do the design, and furnish you with prints, but I can't make it for you. Let me know if you're interested.
  10. I don't think you need a kit and I would be surprised if one is out there. You just need to find a rim that has a 4x156mm bolt pattern and a rim that has 4x115mm bolt pattern (front and rear respectively). I suspect their are some Japanese and German import cars that use these patterns. My $.02, this is a wierd idea and I have no idea why paeople do it.
  11. I am a manufacturing engineer in the Pankl group of companies. My group does racing crankshaft design and manufacturing.
  12. I also did not use any spacers.
  13. I'll be there the weekend after as well. I have to be in Daytona next weekend, soI get screwed out of great duning weekend.
  14. Does anyone have picture or a diagram of what the pancake bearing replaces? I am loading putting together a new motor and I swear this new bearing set up I have does not look like the old one I have in the bike.
  15. I am not sure what your're talking about, as the original Crankenstein was not a triple, it was a huge Polaris (i think that's right, but I cannot remeber) top end on a Banshee bottom end. As for what I was thinking of doing with a triple, I would like to make a dune bike out of one, not a drag bike.
  16. Sell it. If you decide not to sell it, send him my way. My bike is basically the same thing if replace you chrome with black. I'd take $10k for mine after a couple days of thinking about it. I've been starring at the triple cases that Grand River has been pushing on eBay. They're starting to look like alot of fun.

    Fullbore Grill

I would like one of the old round hole mesh, aluminum grills. If you have one, let me know via pm or email.
  18. I have the same problem and would love to hear the answer to your question.
  19. IF you're still into looking for things, I have a bit more of a normal request. I would like to find a black Direct Drive clutch cover fully assembled with all of the seal and bearings, and red lexan cover. I do not care it is used or not. I would like to spend around $300. I cannot seem to buy one from the manufacturer in a reasonable amount of time.
  20. Thanks. That's what I thought.
  21. Does anyone have any idea what the part number of the taillight bulb is so that one might be able to go buy it a at alocal auto parts store?
  22. Thanks for the heads up. I just about sent the same guy, the same amount of money, for the same damn thing.
  23. If you had a kick starter that kicked backwards and forwards you could sart the engine backwards and it would run backwards. THough its a bit of a bad idea since most people wouldn't like to have to shut it down and start it normally to go forward.
  24. Can I get a picture of the frame?
