    fox shocks

    you understand perfectly
  3. think about it like the rake on a motorcyle. the forks on a cbr or yzf are very upright and produce hair pin turns with little input. now consider the rake on the fork tubes on a harley, more laid back but great for highway cruising cause the things damn near drive themselvs. and now think about an arlen ness, that rake is sooo long and low that he needs a walmart parking lot to turn around. but also at that point you get some wicked weird feelings of the front end diving into a turn. not good for Hi perf at all.

    fox shocks

you never seen limitng straps? oh boy they are heavy webbed straps that bolt to the shock mounts. they pretty much are a link between the upper and lower shock mounts, and work in the exact opposite fashion as a bumpstop. they simply keep the susp assembly from over extending and tearing the coilover or bypass to pieces. the desert guys sometimes need them but they dont have the huge unsprung weight like a monster truck's rockwell axles. so to save the shocks from slamming the piston into the seal surface you order or fab a strap that's total length is roughly an inch shorter than the measure travel. so if youre cycling some roll design LT with 13.5 inches on your desert shee and wanna save your elkas, order a 12.5 inch strap. since the strap draws tight and actually stretches a little bit, they absorb all the force and damp the rebound blow so that the shcok feels nothing. that make sense? im tryin to stuff a shitload of info in there but not wrote a novel
  5. ok guys! prepare to be amazed! at how shitty my Paint skills are. but i drew a bad picture of how a modified stem would help out with the bumpsteer issue and not being fuckin with the frame. some wanna host it?
  6. im faster than the satelites
  7. after coming into contact with many brands here is what i have found to of great quality, but im not commenting on premix or tranny oil: BelRay waterproof grease, and chain lube. like Aids for your chain, not even Magic gets rid of it. All Pro Honda products, they have some mean cleaners and fluids Silkolene ProPrep, thats stuff is the shit for plastic. looks better than new, really restores the luster. VP fuels, duh. Toomey Wiseco LSR Vito's ProTaper Two Brothers racing, not sure if they make banshee stuff, but they have a Protaper bar kit for an XR50. thats get my vote. Engine Ice - DDI - wicked shit at a good price. that about all i can think of for now. feel free to add some.
  8. here check out the posts in this thread. OCTANE BOOST - The Truth
  9. i tihnk about you too stephen  vacation and work man. i quit my job at the shop but have been so busy on oddjobs for previous customers ive been fucked hooked up.
  10. now that youve figured it out, SIZE THAT SHIT DOWN.
  11. mikes a party on wheels.............. how come no one showed me this thread either? guy's gone for 2 weeks and everyone just forgets him.
  12. i dont know if they are the same outerwears or not. toomey already had the parts matched up and in a kit when i bought it. i would assume that they are the same though, its just plastic mesh, right?
  13. Matt shearer knows his shit, and his customs are real affordable.
  14. you gotta be handy with a drill. it requires drilling into the side of the carb and them tapping the whole to accept an idle screw. But i say, fuck idle.
  15. quads are cooler?^^^^^^^^
  16. octane boost is worthless, well not quite, but close. they are advertised to show large gains in the AKI rating. but in reality your MON only gows up about a tenth of what is advertised. ill see if i can find the thread where this was discussed in depth.
  17. i believe you would also have to take into account the forward motor mounts. when narrowing the front that much you have to move those around a lil bit.
  18. and they are very expensive. a cheetah kit can run anywhere between 2-5 large. thats a little out of the normal range for a topend rebuild. heres one........ CHEETAH
  19. yeah they are solid. its a single buillet of al.
  20. i love my foam. i run it with a 2:1 setup from toomey with an outerwear also.
  21. Rare is right. its time to look into some some piston parts. but beware, not all testers are accurate. you want a reall good one to get correct readings. there is a night and day diffference between a $250 snap on tester and a 18 buck napa tester.
  22. Otis, thats a pretty neat set. From what i hear, Craftsman is supposed to have the best extraction/remover tools on the market.
  23. that works like nothing else!
  24. i used to think honda had the only big bore 2 stroke, til i heard about those
