  1. well for one thing your tires arent balanced. that may have a lot to do with it, plus knobbies generally dont like high speeds on pavement.
  2. and whats this? sounds interesting..........
  3. you should look into it. from what i hear Pro-E is much less user friendly than SW. Thanks Firehead, I dont really know of a good way to post the file either. Do you mind telling me what command to start with? I think if I find the right strating point ill be able to go from there.
  4. Anyone in here use Solidworks? Ive been playing with it a bunch lately and I want to try to model some parts, but im having trouble making patterns. I want to create a flange with 8, 3/8-24 holes tapped, but i havent figured out how to use the circle pattern command, and i dont even know if this is the right one to use in the first place. If you want, load up some drawings for some pointers. Thanks, Cole

  7. i didnt, its too far to drive home for a vote.
  8. ramos plating is who RNBRad and I hvae discussed before. been in biz so long that my dad used to use them.
  9. dont forget to take into account the 1/16th of an inch or so of material that will be removed by the blade. I wish I had a lathe, id turn you some. that would take about 2 seconds. maybe talk to booman or that bigred guy, he seems to love to give stuff away?
  10. cut off the lower bushings, and weld in bungs. you know those muffler shops that say, "We weld kids toys free!" there you go. thread some heims into those bungs and there you go, fully adjustable, no cutting of the frame, and cheaper and easier to replace than delrin. plus if you have access to a lathe, you can make the bungs for less than 15 bucks, including a tap.
  11. now that you mention it, they do need some improvement. look at the heim joint, that should be fully threaded in, not 3/4" sticking out.
  12. i wish i had half the riding talent of hayden, pedrosa, or rossi. those guys are fast>>>>>>>
  13. shit ya i have one. use it like its really me, only got 2.5 months to go though. im the fourth person to have mine, its gone around to our friends as weve gotten older. i have the damn thing memorized to a tee. im legendary and i think its worthwhile, relax novice. haha
  14. you gonna need a spring compressor, once you have that squeeze the springs as much as you can and the coil hat will be obviously loose. just remove it after that.
  15. ya dean's quad is cool.
  16. Youre right, less sand gets onto the seal. However, this lesser amount of sand stays on the seal. If youre whipping through some sand with no wears the sand should blow right off, unless youre already leaking fluid for it to stick to. Same thing with mud, less gets on, but it wont ever get washed off. Rocks? How do those get to your shafts? There isnt anything to toss up rocks, unless its from another rider.
  17. umm, kinda. they were 6" stroke pneumatic cylinders. the air was controlled by a series of micro-switches so everything opened in a specific order. there was a delay of a few seconds between the closing of the cylinders and when the last one opened. the treasure chest was on a 12 second time delay and was also controlled by air.
  18. the sidewall on a BFG project is so stiff that coupled with beadlocks you can run them down the road with 0 psi and be fairly safe. but they are kevlar walls and ~$475 each.
  19. Congrats on your dec beast. I was in front of your house yesterday, I borrowed your 60ft boom lift and got to drive it down the road, haha, it was fun.
  20. U2/4 is some good shit to run if you can afford it. Smells good too.
  21. gas has to be lighter than 8. im thinking more like 7. anyone know for sure?
  22. Publicity Stunt, just like Magic getting HIV
  23. haha, i didnt even think of that. but, king 2.0's and 13" of travel is kinda bling in its own right.
