  1. I think the point here Postal is that nobody's ever seen a fast 400EX that still had any form of a 400EX motor in it.

  3. That's a little farther than I would want to drive to show you up sorry. I would if I had the time. There's enough Illinois guys on here somebody will take you up on it. If you're serious start a new post titled come race my 400ex in Rockford, IL. Postal you seem pretty cool but giving up a shee for an ex is something that should get you committed.
  4. You should go ride with Banshee17racing he's in Davenport that's not too awful far away maybe you could meet in the middle somewhere. Maybe you should come down to my Iowa house it's probably 4 hrs from you, I'll drag ya.
  5. Postal, if you spend the few dollars to reverse your front wheels on that J-arm shee you
  6. I'd run 6 if Jeff and Loco say run 6.
  7. I got it, if a 400EX is a Ferrari then The Banshee has the speed of a McLaren, the technology of a Peterbuilt, and depending on your setup it can handle like anything from a Top Fuel Dragster to a Porsche. Now how can you go wrong with a Banshee?
  8. JB weld and Duct Tape can save the day when something goes wrong. For tires: Plug kit Tire spoons Bead breaker Spare valve stems Valve stem puller/core remover tool Ether or Starting fluid Matches Some sort of air pump or compressor
  9. Post a pic. The only way to know if you screwed up (without seeing it) is to run it and see if it works. You may have decreased the usable life of it though (if it still works) and it may quit sometime when it
  10. Sounds like you got a better set of pistons and cylinders out of Yamaha than most people. Six year old bike with 140 psi is pretty good, what was your starting compression with that cool head?

  12. Depends on what side your on.
  13. Happy Birthday everbody else. But it
  14. Not sure who recommended the stator being the problem but when mine went out I had no spark at all. Lesson to everybody else to check out the stuff that doesn
  15. How can people argue with that?
  16. You're comparing a two stroke twin to a single, you can't do that. It's like comparing an apple to a bowling ball. On the Banshee you have a throttle to keep the r's up you don't need a heavy flywheel. Boonman how many people have sent back their lightened flywheel's to you? I run a Gorr Port, with a single carb on DMC 916's with a -2 swinger. That's about as much low end as you're gonna get with a banshee. I've run both a lightened flywheel and a stocker, I currently have both to use so I can change them if I wanted. But there's no point in throwing on the stocker it's not nearly as good of a machine as with the lightened one. Take it into consideration I ride woods, trails, sand, hills...basically whatever is in my way I'll ride it. The lightened flywheel is by far better on the Banshee in all situations.
  17. Denton racing sells j-arms, I think they are extended but you'd have to call them to find out. http://www.dentonracing.com/products/suspension.php
  18. I do.
  19. You have to also remember a Banshee has a power stroke every 180 degrees of crank revolution as opposed to a single. The flywheel only truly serves the purpose of timing and electrical on a banshee. I ride trails and I wouldn't be without a lightened flywheel, much much much more fun to ride.
