  1. I got plenty of snow but no swingarm
  2. I agree, seems a touch lean but probably OK. Could raise the needle up one and see how that works. 225 main seems pretty heavy on the fuel though.
  3. I know nothing about them but it was also asked here. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=53003
  4. Hide your sheep...Welcome Back
  5. I can't recall from the last time I had mine apart was the clutch boss keyed onto the shaft? I wish I had my clymers here. I've had the nut that holds the clutch come loose before but that takes all the pressure off of the clutch lever. Sounds to me like you've got something installed incorrectly.
  6. Plenty of money could get you a brand new LE frame for like $550 at the stealer. Heating it up and quenching it will take out the ductility and it will crack in the future. Cold work it with some bars, pipes, winches or porta power is your best bet.
  7. I'd like to see a 100+ HP shee with a -2 swinger launch on a drag strip. I think it'd be like that guy that beat freestyler to the backflip.
  8. When I ran my Tiny Tach it had a lead that I wrapped around one of the spark plug wires and that's all I needed. Stock pipes I couldn't pull much over 9500 RPM.
  9. I think he just got a fine and a whole lotta news coverage. His speed raises some serious doubts as to the accuracy of a guy in a plane with a stopwatch, he was moving don't get me wrong but probably not as fast as they say.
  10. A guy gets on a plane and finds himself seated next to a cute blonde. He immediately turns to her and makes his move. "You know," he says, "I've heard that flights will go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow passenger. So let's talk." The blonde, who had just opened her book, closes it slowly and says to the guy, "What would you like to discuss?" "Oh, I don't know," says the guy. "How about nuclear power?" "OK," says the blonde. "That could be an interesting topic. But let me ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat the same stuff-- grass. Yet the deer excretes little pellets, the cow turns out a flat patty, and the horse produces muffins of dried poop. Why do you suppose that is?" The guy is dumbfounded!! Finally he replies, "I haven't the slightest idea!" "So tell me," says the blonde, "How is it that you feel qualified to discuss nuclear power when you don't know shit?"
  11. A guy got pulled over doing 204 mph not too far from where I work, not sure what ever happened to him. Thanks to him though if anybody gets caught running triple digits it's an automatic 6 month license suspension now.
  12. Roll your shee down the same hill but use the oposite rotation. Never had to straighten one but I'd guess you'd have to get some prybars and work it till it's where you want it.
  13. Word, I didn't know it when I was considering them but I'd sure like to see them.
  14. My '87 is A arms, it was J arms until I put an '04 frame on it. '87-'90 were J-arms the only way it can have A-arms is if it was converted or has a newer frame or it's not an '87-'90 model.
  15. There's these STUDS Or these ICE SCREWS these are in various lengths if you scroll in the part number. Also dEcon I've seen a guy run chans on a 2wd scrambler and they worked very well, I sure wouldn't trust them all you need is something to come loose and it'll cut your shee right into pieces.
  16. I've never replaced a heim yet nor have they reallly worn on my quicksands. I wouldn't expect them to be replaced under warranty since they are a wear item. In the many times I've called Gary I haven't had any problems getting ahold of him and he always calls back if I leave a message. When I originally started doing the suspension I wanted that Janssen swinger like what you posted a while ago Meat and I wanted it all the same so if I got Janssen swinger i'd eventually get janssen arms. I sent numerous emails to them and got nothing for a reply then when I busted up my '87 front end I decided to go with the Quicksands because I never got a response and it's been good since. Now it's Quicksand arms and swinger and I'm very happy.
  17. I started running it last winter with no problems.
  18. That sucks. Oh well atleast you still got the cash.
  19. If it'll start it isn't cold enough to keep me from riding. That is assuming I feel like freezing my a$$ off.
  20. The only way that I see in which you could get more interaction area is to enlarge the OD of the fibers/plates or shrink the ID of the fibers/plates or a combination of the two. Thicker fibers/plates doesn't increase the area just the life which isn't a bad thing either. Thicker plates and fibers will also extend the life of the other clutch components by distributing the load over a wider area. I think the "how" is a valid question and I'd like to hear the answer. I plan on the FAST clutch being my next clutch if I up the HP in the future. Obviously there's a difference though since so many run them and have had no complaints.
  21. I was going to get some studs from Dennis Kirk, it's about $60 for 1000 of them various sizes are available. But we don't have enough ice to justify it, it's been too dry and all my good spots are dried up.
  22. Can't go wrong with the Quicksands and Elkas. I haven't had a bit of trouble with my heims riding wet, muddy, sandy conditions. I do spray them with some WD-40 or chain lube after every about every ride though.
  23. Make sure the split in the ring is lined up with the pin in the piston. I just use my hands and haven't ever had a problem.
  24. I'd like to know the answers to his questions also.
