Toomey T5,t6, Kit With Reeds? Or Cpi,
PUSH THE THROTTLE replied to German Shepherd's topic in General Banshee Discussion
What kind of riding demands 3rd and 4th revved high? To correctly get help on what type of pipe you need you need to do some searches and narrow down what you want and why. If you still haven't figured out what you need post a question in the jetting and exhaust forum. You will need to post the following information so that people can help you. What type of riding do you do? Dunes, desert, track, field, woods, whatever. Mods you have? I'm assuming not many since you don't have pipes. Most importantly as I said above POST IN THE JETTING AND EXHAUST FORUM -
To add to Knight Rippers comment: Banshee = 6 gears, soft seat, living on the edge no matter what gear your in.

I Need Everyone's Help Please!
PUSH THE THROTTLE replied to -Turbo-'s topic in General Banshee Discussion
I voted for ya. Good Luck. -
I run the Dyna and I don't think it has a tach output. If you want a tach by a tiny tach from Dennis Kirk I used one for a while and got tired of it. They are about $50 and I used industrial velcro to attach it to my gas tank for easy viewing. To make them work take the signal wire and wrap it around the spark plug wire a few times and your done. They also come with a ground wire if you want to use it as an hour meter ground it to a bolt.

Josh, I figured that was the case.

I'll be waiting to hear the review. Definately want Janssens more than ever new frame will be purchased shortly. Ive seen other posts on here about adjustment check them out. Good Luck. -
I guess I'm not questioning the money part of it so much it's more the choice of quad. I'm sure people have invested larger amounts of money for example the Outta Control Raptors. But why a Predator it would seem to be a grenade on wheels if you modded it out that much. You could put a Hyabusa engine in a quad for less money but why a Predator???? For 40 grand I bet there's nothing left from Polaris anyway.
-
One of my friends was telling me about someone from Iowa (I guess) who won at the sand drags in Glamis with a Polaris Predator he said that the guy had put about $40,000 into it. I guess he even showed him pictures. Now I don't know much about drag racing except for fun nor do I know hardly anything about Glamis but I would like to know if anybody knows if this is true? I'm pretty skeptical and would be shocked if someone spent that much on a Predator. Thanks guys if you have any info.

I run a DID atv chain and haven't had any problems. It is recommended to get new sprockets when you get the new chain. As for the sprockets, if you go larger on the front more speed, smaller on the rear more speed. 1 tooth on the front is roughly equivalent to 3 teeth on the rear. I had a speed calculation program once and it looked like 1 tooth up on the front added nearly 9 mph top speed so the rear is about 3 mph every tooth down, assuming you rev the same. It depends on what you do with your quad as to the gearing I ride trails and farmland stuff I prefer a 15 on front and a 40 on rear, I'm running 16/40 right now and my friends are just too slow.

Modified 03 Banshee Vs Modified 04 Yfz 450
PUSH THE THROTTLE replied to q8banshee3883's topic in General Banshee Discussion
He can't win with the banshee, he didn't list that he had headlight eyeball covers. You must have headlight eyeball covers to win, otherwise the HP added by the front bumper is uncontrollable. -
Which Pipes For 2:1 Carb Setup

Which Pipes For 2:1 Carb Setup
PUSH THE THROTTLE replied to dave95.1's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Sredish, from what I have read on here the Paul Turners are very similar to the 916's as for power delivery. Any pipe is better than stock. You need to decide on were you really want to shine though in those woods or in the dunes if you want to scream in the dunes then I would get dual pipes but if you want the power in the woods 2 into 1 is the way to go. But both will make you happy either place. -

I'm interested in how you like those arms too. I saw this on the Janssen site. http://cgi.msn.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBay...sspagename=WDVW I'm leaning towards their MX tech a-arms with Elka's. not sure if I would like +3. Janssen says lifetime guarantee even if you hit a tree. -

Spray Paint As Hand Grip Glue
PUSH THE THROTTLE replied to nickxc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
All my friends use silicone on theirs I thought it was a bad idea until it was my only option and now if I ever want new grips I will have to cut them off, they won't spin. -
I'm running 16/40 gearing but unfortunately I don't remember how many links there are, plus I have a -2 swingarm anyway. When I put my last chain on I counted the old links and ordered a new one with the same amount bad idea mine was so stretched I got the new one and it was about 3 links shorter, but I was able to return it so it worked out. I would recommend ordering a longer chain, doesn't cost much more, and cutting it down to the right size. But I have only replaced the chain once so others on here who do it all the time should be able to be more specific.

Good luck with your new quad. If you want low end power, consider the DMC 916's or Paul Turner mids also the trinity CV carb system is perfect plus if you have problems with a sore thumb after rippin' around on your Banshee the CV carb is a dream come true no more thumb fatigue, also add good reeds when you do it. More cheap mods well worth the power are head shaved, lighten flywheel. Oh as said before prodesign intake so you can run without the lid but with the option to put it back on.
-
I also have the DMC 916's and I think they are great none of my friends even pose a challenge but none of them have a Banshee either. Eat raptors alive never had the opportunity to race a 450 of any type yet though. I run 16/40 gearing and have plenty of power on tap but I will probably go down to 15/40 soon since I never hardly get over 3rd gear (on trails) riding with my friends slow machines. But anyway get anything of decent quality and you will love it, another good mid pipe is the Paul Turners from Duncan Racing but they cost more $$$ had it not been for the price I would have probably gotten them. Call DMC and talk to them too about what you want they told me were to order them and it saved me about 30-40 dollars over magazine adds in Dirtwheels.

I wouldn't be without a cv unless they don't make one big enough for my motor someday. Huge improvement over stock I have the 35mm and it seemed to me that I was more fuel efficient when compared to stockers but then I added my pipes and now I'm about the same. The CV-2 35 and the DMC 916's really woke my Banshee up it'll smoke everything around me but I can honestly say nobody has anything worth bragging about either.

Stator And Coil - 1 Gone Bad?
PUSH THE THROTTLE replied to H300F's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I had about the same problem happen to me every now and then until one day no spark so I ordered the Ricky Stator stator and no problems since. I had your problem the guy before me had cut and spliced the harness so I also ordered a new one from www.powersportspro.com for like $80 that way I didn't have to splice in the new stator and eliminated possible problems from connections. -
I'd never buy one after having my banshee, BUT my friends have them and they pretty much beat the hell out of them and they keep going. Blasters are great quads for cheap power and potential.

Something that I don't understand about peoples views of Kerry is that they really think the only way he made his money was by marrying into the Heinz fortune. But yet his family owned their own island with approx. 30 million dollar houses on it well before Heinz came into his life. Everybody thinks Bush is big business which he is but so is Kerry. I like the point about Pearl Harbor, it's basically taught that we were attacked on our own ground but no that was just a military base just like the ones that have been bombed in one way or another all over the world. The unemployment rate is similar to that of when Clinton left office which is amazing after all the problems caused by the trade centers and all the problems in the stock market. How can you say Bush has done a horrible job compared to what??? Bush is the first president that I can remember in my lifetime who says something and actually does it.
-
Streetshee, If you have that view then we might as well fire security guards at airports, and policemen, military and everybody else who keeps us safe because they are only postponing the innevitable. Heck all sane people should just commit suicide and let terrorists run the world.

If I remember correctly the ball is between the rod and the clutch so if you don't have a ball you better get one. There should be a picture in your Clymer or else you can look at the online microfich at either powersportspro.com or albaaction.com.
