Here's a link to the Lonestar Faqs they explain caster, camber, and toe. http://www.lsracing.com/installguides.php?step=4&igid=5 They give suggestions on the settings depending on type of riding.

Full throttle and then you get the boost, why ?

I always thought the mouse just had a little trouble getting that big wheel moving then when he hits full stride your gone. Thanks for clearing this one up for me, I'm going to quit looking in the classifieds for a rat and also quit sticking the food down those spark plug holes. -
anyone know how much hp fords 4.6 has?

Is there really an engine you don't expect more out of??? Loganskinner, I have another question for you. If you had the option of the 4.6 V8 in your ranger wouldn't you have taken that over the 4.0 V6? -
Accident Kills A.T.V. Driver Jasper County, September 7th, 2004 - Investigators are back on the scene of an A.T.V. accident that left one man dead yesterday. It happened on a rural road in Jasper county, 3 miles northwest of the town of Baxter. The Jasper County Sheriff's Department says the driver of an All Terrain Vehicle (A.T.V.) collided head on with a pickup truck heading in the opposite direction. The driver of the pickup told deputies both vehicles tried to avoid one another. Sheriff's deputies will only describe the driver of the A.T.V. as in his early twenties. The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were not injured. The Sheriff's Department says they do not find anything suspicious about the crash. LINK http://www.whotv.com/Global/story.asp?S=2264951&nav=LotCQcgF ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gotta feel bad for what happened it's horrible. But this is going to be another ATV's are dangerous story. How can this happen in a state were even riding in road ditches is illegal?

If the problem is that it won't rev out as you said that would lead me to believe that your main jet is incorrect. The needle shouldn't be the problem I would do a WOT plug chop. If it is bogging then you may need to go smaller on the mains not up. If it just won't rev i'd say go larger as Nickxc said.

That depends on the oil you choose to run when I ran Yamalube 2R 32:1. I'd mix just about everything at that rate. Except Amsoil. Now I run amsoil at a ratio of 80:1. With Amsoil it's so simple to mix, one bottle to 5 gallons and your done. And the way I calculate it it's about 1/2 the price of the Yamalube. If your interested in Amsoil and you don't have a place nearby to buy it email Holyman on this site he's a dealer. As far as other oil brands I don't have any experience myself but there is a thread on them right now do a search and you'll find out everbodys oppinion's fast enough

Logan got pics? The premium is the reason the chip never happened. I'm impressed with the power yours makes. Leather is part of the reason mines for sale as with you I've got everything they offer and cloth seats what are they thinking? Lariat on the way. -
The thing I like about Dirtwheels or any atv mag is the ads it's nice to leaf through and look for stuff to buy. As far as reporting on the Banshee they can't do it every month and every now and then they do something with them. Their reviews must be taken with a grain of salt usually because they must not do the same riding I do if they believe what the write most of the time. Example they must think the Banshee only has 5 gears and was made in a way that the suspension can't be aftermarket, I can't recall ever reading about Elkas on a Banshee in there if anybody else can I'd like a scan of the article please.

I can't hardly wait till my Quicksands show up I am in withdrawl. Can you post some pics? Also what did you do to hold your brake lines in place? Can anybody point me to a place to get some steel lines for my '87 every book I have says '90 and up? I know they did change the brakes but are the lines different?

I should check mine maybe I got screwed. It's ballsy but no V8. So the chip really makes a difference? Do you have to run premium? And another thing why can't Ford put leather in a Ranger???? -

Logan I don't mean anything bad either against you or your Ranger, Rangers are great in the mud, mines covered as I type, and I'd get one before I'd get an S-10 I'd never buy a dodge anything. With the crown vic I was getting about 25-30 mpg and the Ranger doesn't see 23 on the highway. The '92 was better on mileage than either of the new ones. I drive about 1,200 miles a week and I've got this fuel thing pretty nailed down. No offense S-10 guys either, I'm a Ford guy at heart but will drive anything to quote Vin Diesel "fast enough to do something stupid in" And Dodge guys never will one have my name on the title. -

Thank god I thought you might have had a serious condition or something if you didn't have duals, thought you might need committed. How do you like the dump? I've always wondered if they do much but never known someone that tried it. You didn't mention it was built (atleast I didn't notice) so I assumed it was still mainly stock. I'm sure you'd have it. But in the defense of the cop car vs LT1 in stock form in a Camaro they would be a fair drag with even drivers. I knew a kid in high school with a LT1 Camaro they are fast but don't underestimate the cop car they do an excellent job putting power to the ground. If I built cars that would be the only way to go in my book. I've had three Rangers 92,99,02. I have the 99 now it's supposed to be 160HP in 2000 they went to the 205HP and driving them I can't tell other than one is newer a bit of difference honestly if I had my choice I would still have the '92 it was cheaper and it would beat both of the newer ones in a drag but even after the repaint I couldn't beat the rust. I loved that '92 great in the mud plenty of power k&n flowmaster dual exhast but now I wish I had the money from that stuff, I did toy with the idea of installing an engine we had out of a wrecked Saleen mustang but it wasn't going to be worth the time or money. I'd like to see a dyno of your chipped Ranger making 240 or even 210 with or without the chip I don't believe they do atleast not at the rear wheels, I've always thought about installing a chip in mine but I have decided that I will never waste any more money on a V6. My Ranger is for sale now and as soon as it's gone only V8's in full size form in the future I hate V6's and mine is a stepside(Banshee won't fit) if it wasn't cheap I'd have never bought that worthless truck but for what I paid for it I should break even after having it for 3 years and 50,000 miles. As far as that 4.6 being "almost worthless" I dare you to run from a cop with a crown vic in your ranger if you don't roll it or have the cop drive beside you and laugh he'll shove you in the ditch. Since I have had both I can definately say you don't stand a chance it's like a Blaster (if that) racing a Banshee I'm not kidding. -
Welcome to the HQ, just a warning though you may want to start saving up now because if you spend any time reading on these forums you will need some upgrades.
-
The best and really only way to make a Blaster seem like it has more power is to follow these three easy steps. 1. Rent a small vehicle storage unit for exactly 2 years 115 days and lock the Banshee in it without looking at or thinking about it for the entire time. 2. The only method of transportation for the period of time in step 1, other than walking, a unicycle and if you can't ride one you may substitute a big wheel, and of course the Blaster. 3. The most important step only ride the Blaster down hill at max speed.

From what I heard the LS1's are harder to get the bigger numbers out of? They come pretty strong out of the factory. I don't really know nor do I care. I just like to read the mags keeps me busy. Even though I dislike your brands you got a nice collection. Does the Camaro have another exhaust pipe that I can't see? It's a Z28 but I can't see another pipe??? I'd like to see the white and black car in the Camaro pic line up with the Camaro I'm guessing the Oval will hand it to you. Does that S10 stay cool? Alot of the bigger motors I've seen in trucks are really hard to maintain a good temp with. I don't think I've ever noticed anyone put a comma in a year before. Is this a new trend? Can you post a picture of it? I would like to see this machine but I bet the Turbo-T would smoke you. -

I agree it'll never happen. It'd be fun though. The pictures of it have some pretty wide tires on it. -

It's been a while but the way I remember it a 96 mustang gt is reasonably close to the way the Crown Vic is power wise now the newer gt's have more power they start at 260hp. I don't really know what the police interceptor puts out, but they are very quick and they will climb pretty high 130+ I've never topped one out no need. I have a subscription to muscle mustangs and fast fords and the guys at that magazine believe that the 4.6 will be a better engine than the 5.0. Tons of potential in the 4.6. The stock 5.0's were not putting out that much HP even in cobra form unless it's the cobra R. If your bidding on auction stay reasonable and then you can always sell it and get your money back. We bought one put 25,000 on it and still made $1,000 a year later. And you'll always be able to drive through the median without worry because those cars are built tough unlike the Impala, which the Impala the city cops here have tops at 110mph not governed that's just all it has. Plus if the ricers cause you problems just put a push bar on the front and shove them off the road. As I said before we've had three, two bought at auction and one that was never used as a police car but with the full police package you won't be dissapointed for the money. I would buy one if I needed a four door car in a heartbeat. I also have a friend that has one of the baby blue commercial vehicle ones he is running straight pipes and it's a real head turner, ugly color but loud, it's fast enough that we passed 10 cars in one shot on a two lane road. That's the way I felt. Be careful if it's a commercial vehicle one though they sometimes scratch the hell out of the rear end when they drag the scales in and out of the trunk. But the commercial ones don't get occupants in the back as much as the other ones if ever. Also cop cars do have a nice reading light in the front don't flip it on at night while you want to be able to see they are pretty bright. For a while there was alot of talk about a 400 HP V10 in the police cars that was supposed to start this year but I haven't heard a thing about them for a couple years. Everybody that keeps bringing the other vehicles into this change the pulley and you can run 22psi boost on a lightning without changing anything else, not even the fuel pump, that puts out just shy of 525HP. The ford SVT team has put the lightning motor in a Ranger, anybody want to drag against that? -
I run a 16/40 combination and love it. Mine came with a 12 to start some guy thought it would be good for woods, nope pretty well sucks always shifting. With the 16/40 when I go in the woods I never have to shift above 3rd when it's tight. Wheelies are effortless in 1-3 with my negative 2 swinger. 15/40 is a little quicker but I also felt quicker with the 16/40 than a 14/40. Go up not down you'll like it better. I'd recommend a 15.

You explained that so much better than me Loco. Nice job.

The crown vic will be so much nicer than a monte, I hate them with a passion my sister has had two of the new SS's and they aren't much faster than my ranger, and the steering sucks IMHO. The crown vic will feel like it floats and since it's a cop car they are very fast. Not supercar fast but they will hold their own even with the 4.6.
