110 is cold there. I don't think that they really miss AC since the majority of the country never had it. What good is AC when your house has no windows and the blocks used to build them have gaps between them. Iraqis are used to the heat. I grew up without AC so did millions before us it's not a neccessity.

Knightrider, I feel for ya sounds like the Ohio situation sucks. On the other hand you plan to vote for Kerry which I feel is exactly what is going to hurt you more than ever. The sending jobs over seas wasn't Bush's fault as Meat posted previously. Let's look at what Kerry plans to do for you. A few job related things from the debate: 1. Raise taxes for $200,000+ incomes. 2. Increase minimum wage. 3. Give everybody health care. Item #1 - Great idea raise taxes so that companies that I personally would rather work for will be less likely to add employees because they will use the wages that they could have paid an additional worker to pay their taxes. Item #2 - Increasing minimum wage doesn't seem very smart to me. Prices of goods will have to increase to pay for the increase. Employees across the board will also expect an increase in pay, causing more strain on employers. Item #3 - Almost as important as pay, healthcare is a significant reason to get a job as even you stated above. If healthcare is provided for everybody why not be a bum? As for healthcare for children I don't know about other states but parents in Iowa can already sign up their children for health care at drastically reduced prices if they don't have coverage, so Kerry's benefit here is useless. Also employers will not need to provide health care if the gov will so why would they? Let's look at these items with respect to big business: Item #1 - If I was CEO of a company making more than $200,000 a year I would want a raise to compensate me for the increased taxes I will pay so I will send my jobs to Mexico to make the additional money. Item #2 - doesn't matter the jobs outside of the US are unnaffected. Item #3 - Also a non issue they don't provide it anyway. The main problem driving jobs oversees that's not addressed is Union workers the demands that unions put on companies (increased pay and benefits) are a huge factor in moving the jobs elsewhere to make them a non issue. $37/hr assembler at John Deere doesn't make sense to me. I believe that the above reasoning on big business is that it will be fine when the small businesses will be hurt, do you disagree? Why you would think that someone who gets 50 million a year from a trust fund set up by a company that has located 80% of it's own jobs outside of this country will help you is poor judgement in my mind.

I say go -1 1/4. The shee really looks like an animal with a -2 and plus one arms compared to a stocker. I've never seen one extended since I don't live near the dunes or attend any sort of drag races which is were the extension is preferred. Another advantage to the -2 is your ability to turn is increased substantially. You get the benefit of the shees weight transfer but you also get the benefit of increase impact of your weight transfer compared to a longer swinger. I want to go to a stroker motor someday and I will run a -1 1/4 the reason in the -1 1/4 is that 520 chain links are 5/8" in length 2 links equals 1 1/4" you can only cut links out in 2's. With the -2 stocker I have now I had to go to 16/40 gearing to eliminate a half link, but I do like the 16/40 gearing.

DMC 916 pipes/alien pipes
PUSH THE THROTTLE replied to loganskinner's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I run the 916's and really like them. They seem to make a more rideable Banshee, more torque and plenty of top end. I was torn between Paul Turner Mids and the 916's made the decision on price a little more than half of what the Turners would have cost. I had called and talked to the guys at DMC many times before ordering and they were very good to talk to and informational. Plus told me who to order from for the best price. My complaints about them are: I have burnt through the side of may airbox, when I had stock carbs no problem but when I added the CV-2 I went to no lid and the box seemed a little squeezed in there and before I noticed it burnt a hole in the air box. Not a big deal since I don't run a lid anyway. The other complaint I have is that I would like to raise the silencer about an inch. I haven't had any problems with the mountings but be careful to not over tighten the bolts they are small. The reason I would raise the silencer is since I run a -2 swing arm when I ride wheelies sometimes touching the grab bar you can sometimes rub the silencer on the ground, normally it wont hit but small bumps can scratch it a little. Lastely I have also put a scratch in the side of the silencer when jumping my ramp because I've compressed the suspension so far that my parking brake block off plate interferes with the silencer at max 1mm. But I would definately recommend the 916's to anyone who rides trails, woods, tracks, MX. If you are a duner it sounds like you would want something more like the Toomey's. My .02 -
Did you know that oil production is at it's highest the high prices aren't due to any shortage? OPEC wants prices around $30 a barrel this isn't good for them at all. There's a couple reasons why the prices are high. 1. Uncertainty in the middle east which will be greatly reduced after the elections both here and in Iraq in January. 2. The analysts see this as the main cause of high prices. The state of the economy, it's booming right now. Ten years ago prices like these would have been met with bicycles not bills. Seeing as people don't care about what they drive like 10-15 years ago when trends were smaller vehicles. I recently bought a new truck and while I was at the dealer I asked how sales were being affected by gas prices and was told that trucks and SUV sales have gone up not down, obvious by what you see on the roads. Ford is gearing up to sell 1 million F150's next year. It really sucks that since we've got the money that our consumption is driving the price up and up. It's not just us either China must have found ways to drink oil with the amount they are consuming. I'm really not seeing what the benefit of this would be? Would you like him to give you a shoulder rub and a pat on the butt and tell you how proud of you he is? I'm not sure if he made any mistakes worthy of appologizing for. You base his mistakes on hindsight the President does not have that option when he makes his decisions. You may not realize but the Senate intelligence committee is supposed oversee intelligence, so taking your response into consideration I would conclude it's Kerry's fault that Bush got the daily briefings he did. Is there some reason you can't do this now?

People need to realize what Freedom means and not take it for granted. Kerry takes alot for granted and spits on those that really matter. I'd be ready to fight if needed I'm more willing to protect our home ground but if I was needed I'd gladly go elsewhere. I drive over 1000 miles weekly and I take note of what signs are in what kind of yards, make that effort and you'll agree which yards you'd rather have. Also the stickers on cars I haven't seen a Kerry Edwards sticker with a support the troops ribbon on it they don't exist. Needless to say the overwhelming majority of cars I've seen sporting the Kerry stickers are foreign, I don't care where foreign cars are made but ultimatly where does the money for the most expensive possession (other than a house) go? I drive Fords always will, Bush admittedly also drives a nice Superduty. What's Kerry drive? BIRD213 I commend you on your calm rational responses. And I only hope you make the correct decision at the election. Make the one that is truly in YOUR best interests.

Kerry, just like every good american TRUSTED AND BELEIVED in what the President tells us. Bush told us that Iraq had WMD's. When I heard that Iraq had WMD, I was all for invading just like the majority of us. But as the war progressed and facts and truths came out, we "flip flopped".... we looked at the true facts and decided it was way wrong. Your quote was taken out of context. The republicans can take anything someone says and make it sound the way they want it. If you look the whole picture, you'll get the truth. Thats how Kerry confronted the "flip flop" claim in the first debate. MEAT, John F Kerry spent alot of time talking about how Saddam needed to be removed because of his weapons arsenal from 1996 (talked about disarming Saddam on Larry King Live) till about just after Howard Dean said otherwise. The above quote where you say that Kerry was just believing what the President told him doesn't hold water. Case and point...Bush started as president in January 2001 since he was governor of Texas I would guess he didn't have a whole lot of info on Global intelligence {Can you dispute that?} On the other hand Kerry was on the Senate intelligence committee starting in 1993 by my math that's about eight years of intelligence knowledge that he should have{ Do you agree with that?}. But you claim Bush had to tell him the weapons were there? {I disagree with your thoughts on that}. I just presented you with the "WHOLE" picture did you get the TRUTH? On the other hand of this campaign, can you name one significant bill authored by Kerry that actually made it through and was signed into law? It's a handful at best. After 20 years in the Senate Kerry's most significant bill that he spearheaded was the renaming of a courthouse. I know I'll feel better if he gets elected {Added a little SARCASM specifically for BIRD213} About your WMD claims read this link please. http://www.cnsnews.com//ViewSpecialReports...E20041004a.html Also, is it normal to hide these? http://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2.../6/105528.shtml Fireman-Hott Thanks for attempting to set SHELBY straight, but he's a wealth of ignorance on this issue.

BIRD213 I'm disappointed in YOUR lack of debating skill. I was really hoping you could come up with some Halliburton info that could trump the knowledge I have gained working in the oil industry. With your supreme wealth of knowledge it's too bad it'll be wasted on a Kerry vote. Did you see where the news had 23 undecided voters watch the last debate? All 23 claim that Kerry won the debate but 17 said they were now voting for Bush where as only 5 said they would vote for Kerry.
-
Maybe I should have asked a question to you instead. Why do you have to be rich to vote right wing? I admit I had a typo but that's why I'm not a secretary or a school teacher. You really are smart. Just using a little SARCASM. Get yourself a Ouija board and ask the people who were killed by Iraq's government because they disagreed with it. Before you stick your foot any farther down your throat name one other company that can do what Halliburton does. Also do you even know what Halliburton does? Without a doubt. W-04

I THINK he has done a pretty good job with the hand he has been dealt, and I think there are a few more AMERICANS who will agree. What else should he do to make you happy? Maybe an intern or two? Kerry is rich he doesn't vote right wing. Kerry pays more in taxes than as you seem to consider him Mr. Filthy Rich Oil Man Bush makes in a year. Can't you come up with a better solution than that??? The US Armed Forces have made a much larger change in a couple of years for freedom than Iraq has made in over the last 1000+ years of they're existance. Maybe your not smart enough to realize that there has been people living there since the beginning of man. Maybe you should gear up on your history. I've even got a recommendation, why don't you read the BIBLE? What are you talking about???????

I've got an 87 that I haven't had a bit of problems with some parts have worn out such as CDI, parts will wear out on either 2 or 4 strokes. The way I see it if something brakes it needs upgraded to something better. I have had Polaris's and Kawasaki's in the past all 4 strokes and the thing about them is that when they were broken down I had to take it to a dealer(warranty) and wait a week to get stuff fixed. I do everything to my Banshee myself and in less time using less money than a dealer.

i think he's blowin smoke, the problem is he never says the same thing twice Duece, I think you took that the wrong way. I meant what did you think of Kerry and Heinz Kerry only paying 12.8% on their combined income of $6.8 million. Compared to the Bush
-
Duece, What do you think of Kerry's 12.8% tax rate?
-
Brooke I just looked at your link, I missed it before. That was a great website. I just don't get it what are people seeing in this guy?
-
I posted their incomes above. By those numbers Bush should go to war for Ketchup instead of oil. LED How come the Pope and not Kerry's tag team partner Edwards?
-
One more time.

I posted this on the Flip Flop topic but I think it applies here more so I will delete it there. My question is how can you vote for someone who in his debates keeps talking up how the "multi millionaires" who make $200,000 a year need to pay more taxes when the person who's saying this and his running mate are both lawyers who are pulling all the strings to keep their money in their pockets. I think most people don't even know that Kerry was a lawyer before he was a Senator.

1st of all wear a helmet, you will probably hit the ground a few times. You will drag if you hit the grab bar and be fine as long as you don't shift your weight to the side, if you do that it can tip sideways. If you do drag the grab bar hit the rear brakes and bring it back down. The key to wheelieing is practice. Be careful when you put a leg on the seat too because when I was doing that I stood it up doing a 12 and then hit the rear brake too hard, slammed the front end down and threw myself off the side because I lost my balance I'm guessing at 40+ mph since I was passing an Arctic Cat 4X4 when I did it. Once you get it figured out you can really make some people jealous of the Banshee, EX's and Blasters can keep it up easier but when your in 4th or higher doing a wheelie they can't keep up, or when their in 5th or 6th(Blaster) and your right beside them and still have the power to get it up the thoughts will fill their heads. For higher speed wheelies you can use your front shocks to help you out just try to compress them and then pull back and they will spring you up with the rebound.

That is not a flip-flop.
