No the drive by's aren't in Iowa, I only ride there because that's where I keep my Banshee plus my parents have a fairly large farm to ride on so it's good for me. I actually live in the twin cities and weekly someone is getting shot somehow. I would assume with the killings up here that California or New York are much worse. My point was that just about every gun shop since the ban has had plenty of assault weapons for sale it never stopped. The ban only made the ignorant feel better. Last night I heard on the news about some older lady sitting in her vehicle at Home Depot up here and some guy came up to her and asked for directions then threw a small bucket of automotive paint stripper in her face burnt her face and chest up, for no reason just to do it. I wish that lady could have got a shot off at that guy but what was he afraid of it was an old lady who couldn't defend herself, he jumped into his SUV and drove away. I'm not big on the self defense reasoning either, I'm for the right to do what you want as long as you don't affect someone else. If I were going to defend myself in my house I'd definately grab my 12 gauge but when I run empty I'm grabbin my AK. And if I really wanted to go out and kill someone I'd rather use my 30-06 at a couple hundred yards or so, not my AK. Did anyone hear about the family that went to eat at Luby's in Texas and the daughter wouldn't let her dad take his gun inside then someone came in and killed them while they were in eating? I don't know too much about the above incident I heard it on the radio, I'd like to hear the specifics if you have them not sure when this happened either. But had the guy who killed them known that everybody in the place was packing he'd have had to have a big set of balls to try that. Oh and the answer to Knightriders question always A, but if $#it hits the fan after, go down fighting you might as well die defending yourself as opposed to just die.

Maybe you don't have a clue. They could go to the gun stores last week and get an AR-15. Cabelas had about 15 different models last time I was there over a month ago. The weapons included in the ban are not capable of mowing anybody down full auto you have to pull the trigger every shot. The whole thing about the ban was it didn't stop production of these guns it only said they couldn't have certain combinations of features such as pistol grips, flash suppressors.... Go to any gun show and you can pick up any kind of assault weapon you want. And just so you know I've heard about many drive bys where I live over the last ten years they never stopped.

Holyman, the way I understand what you wrote you just made a great argument as to why voting is important. Meaning that citizens need to elect the officials that reflect their wants, needs, morals and ideologies the best in order to avoid someone in office that does something that is not in the electoral interests of the country.

I'm not sure I know when you got it you should have gotten charts that showed you. THe thing about the dyna is it doesn't just set a specific advance it changes with the rpm to give you max HP, torque or all around. I also prefer 1 and 3 but I can't remember which is speed and which is torque, but I believe that's what those two curves are. The other two being stock (no advance) and all around.

Last week I could go to Wal mart and buy a brand new mini 30 for $550 that is semi auto that shoots 7.62mm X 39and then order 30rnd clips from Cabelas for like $30 a piece. My MAK-91 (Modified AK-47) couldn't buy brand new because of the ban unless I found one still in the box shoots the same 7.62mm X 39 and 30 rnd brand new clips cost me $9.95 a piece all bought during the ban. The ban sounded like a great idea to people who don't know anything about it, but the ban was essentially a cosmetic ban. The ban just raised prices on some things like a 25rnd clip for a ruger 10/22 $50 instead of the $25 before the ban. What really bothers me is watching the news this week and hearing the stupid reports on these guns. When a reporter claims these guns are back on the steets. That's such a lie they are going to be back in stores. They make it sound like they will be delivered by an ice cream truck and the criminals will just run up, stock up, and kill somebody. And to explain fully automatic weapons have been banned since 1934, unless you get registered with the BATF and live in a state where you are allowed to do so. I'm hoping I can pick up a reasonably priced AR-15 also.

I run the dyna and have an adjustable plate. You're not supposed to change the timing and run the Dyna so my plate is set on stock or 0 degrees. Since you have the dyna I wouldn't change anything. If you need to convince yourself that your timing is adjusting then set the switches to the stock setting ride for awhile and switch back, on mine it's night and day.

Hott, I agree with you on this whole conspiracy thing but I have some questions about this Diesel Fuel not burning that maybe you can clear up. Growing up on a farm with diesel barrels we used diesel to start lots of brush fires, my dad also uses a hand pump sprayer and will spray it on fires to keep them going. I've always thought it burned is it an illusion? Since I did study diesel engines in school maybe I mis-understood but I was thinking that the diesel engines don't need spark plugs because the pressure and heat created by the 16.6:1 compression ratios is plenty to "combust" the diesel. Diesel engines use glow plugs to warm the cylinders in the winter to aid in the heat factor. I have some points from an outside the HQ source that would like to have answered if anybody can?

The older calipers are supposed to be better than the newer ones. Bigger I think is what the reason was.

WHAT IS STOCK? Never heard such a thing about a Banshee.

I saw it in Muscle Mustangs and fast Fords, a couple years ago. They changed the pulley and might have added a new air intake but that was all and it was making 525HP with 22lbs boost, no detonation at all, all stock except what I have already said.

I've never used anything but the Etrex Legend, no problems.

Well said. The President cannot create jobs. So how is Kerry going to be any better than Bush in that area? Bush imposed tax cuts for a reason, to put money in the hands of the people who spend money which increases the need for goods or allows hiring for expansion. "IF" Kerry gets into office he has plans for many programs which will require a substantial amount of money. Kerry also plans on raising taxes he has said so and that's one thing he has said that I believe. Lets put this in perspective when taxes increase companies will either have to make more money with the same amount of workers or get rid of people to make up for their taxes. The bottom line is the most important thing to a business, businesses don't say well I have more taxes to pay so I'm ok with making less money this year than last. The either increase output or reduce operating costs.

Nothing broken, concussion and ambulance ride. Nose wheelied after driving over a railroad tie then hit parked car fourth gear pinned while checking jetting. First time at area no helmet, moved car 18 inches on frozen ground. On lighter note no bruises. I live in the Twin Cities kind of I've only spent 3 weekends up there in the last year 2 of them for Monster trucks in the Metrodome. As for where I ride I'm between Iowa City and Des Moines, About 15 miles north of the KINZE manufacturing plant on I-80 if your familiar with it. Where are you at in Illinois? I'd be game for some riding sometime. As for the speeds I was a little off on what I said before when I did 90 I had my 22's on not my 20's by my Excel spreadsheet that puts me at 93.85848728mph @ 9000rpm my tach (tiny tach from Dennis Kirk $50) won't quite hit 9000 with my DMC's. Couldn't exactly remember but I was pretty close. As far as a 14/41 with 22's at 9000rpm = 80.1230989mph far cry from 96. But 14/41 with 22's @ 11,000rpm = 97.92823198mph. Better wear a cup while riding that grenade. If anybody wants this spreadsheet pm me or if someone could post a link for it I'll send it to you if you tell me your email. I run a 16/40 I have a 17 but can't get it on due to chain length. As far as this crap about a 14/41 doing 96 nope not possible with a stock tranny. I have a excel spreadsheet that calculates all this stuff(on a computer in a different state right now but I'll get it this weekend if I have a chance so thes numbers aren't exact) with my 16/40 gearing and 20 inch tires 90's is achievable but at that speed your tires suck in so much the rims will stick out and it will look like your going to pull the tire off the bead, it's not worth it to try a 17 unless you have a wicked motor like duece and can use all the gears. My program shows speeds at engine rpms through all six gears and figures in tire size and gearing. As far as the gearing on changes go it's approximately 9 mph each tooth on the front. 1 tooth larger add 9mph one tooth smaller subtract 9mph from your top speed. The rear sprocket is roughly equivalent to 1/3 change of the front so plus one on the rear then subtract 3mph one tooth smaller on the rear then add 3mph. I can't remember what a stock Banshee is geared at but I know the 87 had one size smaller front sprocket than the later models but I was thinking it was a 13 so if you figure a stock 87 does 65 with 20 inch tires @ 9000 rpm then by my setup plus three on the front and minus one on the rear then you add 30mph to the top speed and that gets you 95mph. figure in the gearing and I'm certain mine can do 90 checked with a gps but not much more. so there is no way a 14/41 can do 96 it's not possible. I'll run the numbers this weekend and give you the actual speeds.

I'm running 80:1 when I ran 32:1 I think I had more oil coming out of my pipes than I even mix now. If I ran 20:1 it would be like drilling for oil, that's just wasteful oil doesn't produce power gas does. Not to mention that's pretty expensive to feed disregarding the 43mm carb. Just old enough to get a job too, I'm jealous. What kind of shocks you got on that ride? Stock... Post some pics and stand up for yourself.

I heard more on this last night and it sounds like the guy on the quad was riding in the wrong lane down the road. WTF
