  9. im polly one of the cheapet poeple out there. ill drinnk my $.50 bud lights at home then go to dinner. im not old enought to drink YET but i cant see my self spending $20 for myself on food. im into health and nutrition. and for the money, i think its foolish to go out to eat. 1. who the f*ck kbnows hows preparing your food. some people just dont care as long as it tastes SO GOOD. 2. the nutrition you get is shitty, they cook old fuckin vegtables. everything is left out and heated up. unless other wise stated. and if you going to not get good nutrition. why not just dine out to tacobell or wendies or burgerking. i quess dining out makes people feel rich. haveing there foos served to them on a silver platter. i dont ghet paid a lot at work so it takes me about 2 hours to get that $20. so the way i think of it, id rather leave work 2 hr earlier on moday than to work just to pay for a dinner. but i guess its all in what you like.
  10. well it happend a year ago to all the evidence is gone. get a copy of the police report and give it to your lawer. even if the stupid ass lawer cost 3,000 it will save you the rest. i dont think its lagitament to sew someone after a year and all the evidence is gone. yeah it was there fualt by the sounds of it but that not how insurence companies look at it. i would talk to this dumb bitch. tell her why shes sewing you, if shes doing it for the fun of it. i would probably get my moneys out of her back in some way. when she down the road slam your brakes because there was a (squrrel) infront of your truck and you didnt want to kill it. if she stupid enough to hit a parked car i bet shell be stupid enpough to hit you. good luck with it.
  11. lol i cant get a sentance right for some reason. lol i mean about the floater bowls being on backwards. the left one could be on the right carb abd vice verce. on the side with the choke, look at the floater bowl, there should be a little broze or copper brass looking ball on it facing towards the engine side.
  12. about the floater bowls being on backwards. ther left one could be on the right carb abd vice verce. on the side with the carb, look at the floater bowl there should be a little broze or copper brass looking ball on it facing towards the engine side. i got fatties and i run 260 mains with a stock bore so i think something is off but i dont know, if it ran GOOD last season then it should at least run, right? check the floater bowl i assume you know how to tune the carbs, and check the stator. but check them bowls first.

  14. are your slides syncronize? and is everything else stock? bore, carbs ect...
  15. well you said your main jet is 24 so that tells me your really kinda lost. did you mean pilot jet? im pretty sure stock pilets are 25 and mains are 200. it sounds like your stator in not working right but im not sure i thkn when these things go, they just dont work, but im not sure on that. double check the wiring. if its not mis firing every 7th rotation or what ever im pretty sure it wouldnt even run PERIOD. do you have the clymers? how do you know how to test the coil and everyhting? i thnk you got too much gas and not enough air. have you tried running it with the lid off? i assume when you get it running and you pull the choke it just dies? are there aftermarket pipes on there? what size are your main jets? you got stock intake? also how did yopu meansure that it was misfiring every 7th rotation? answer some of those and maybe i can help further. but im sure someone with more knowledge can help you out more.

Welcome to bhq though its not my home. i havent seen a good pictures of the tors removal instructions around but. they go on the outside of the carbs. just make sure your looking the left and right one and not the left and right one, (if you know what i mean). i dont know about the wires situation but yeah all those wires from the key are suposed to be touching, could use a wire nut and some electrical tape. about the carbs leaking, i dont know i would say there is something wrong with the floater bowls. did you say it stated or no?
  19. i was about to say the same thing. you will get 1000 if you part it out maybe. but ill take the on off valve on the gas tank and the foot pegs if your gonna go that rout. how much you lookin for them?
  20. im gonna take off my clutch cover to adjust the clutch. im just wondering if its a good idea to poick up a gasket too? and if i do need a new one is there some sort of sealent i should use with it?
  21. the ones going to the on off kill switch, im pretty sure you dont want to touch them. just take all the tape off up the the air box on all that mess of wires and im sure with some common sence you will just see where there running to and witch ones can be snipped back to their splices.

  23. what is a tap remover? i never heard of one. how do they work?
  24. post a picture if you can. like cotton eyed joe said. breaking a tap in alumin is one of the hardest things to remove with out damaging much of the thread. was it a 2 3 or 4 prong tap? i dont know if "prong" is the proper name but, its the cutters on the tap. if its a 2 or a 4 you might be in luck. you would have to brows through sears or something to find some vise grips or locking plyers that will grip it and you might be able to shake it loose. im not to experience with that sort of thing. i dont do all that much taping at work. also a small pick and a hammer works some times putting the carb in a vise "carefully" and kinda tapping on the flanges of the tap on equal sides at a time, then using very small plyers. im sure you could also just buy a new carb if the worts comes to it.
