i just looked at the heads on the motor and it looks like your screwd (intended pun). it looks like you will have to cut the head in half with a hack saw and try to get it out from a closer angle. but i think the magnet and glue idea is a good idea. get some glue on the screw it self and your done for.

do you have a tig welder? weld another 2.5 mm or something to it and load it with wd-40.

$300 is a lot. make sure its in mint condition. and startes first or second kick. when you go there bring a tool to test the compression. ckeck the oil if its black you can prolly tell he didnt even take the time to lean it before hes selling it, never mind how he took care if it while he was riding it. check the brake pads. check the clutch free play and see if the clutch is workin properly. check for cracks buy looking for chipped paint. check the air filter, bring a flash light. and stick your finger around the inside of the carbs and see if thers dirt there, there shouldnt be. does it have any mods done to it?

yes, what i would do it ditch the .40 over. i would go with the stock bore and get the other resleaved. some like more power some like stock bore. if you have he extra money i would r sleave the biger bore.
