You get an easy to ride rail with no shifting. I would suggest a Rotax 670cc if snowmobile route was taken. What tremendous heat you talking about?? PC is something like 400 for like 15-20 Min. That tempature will not harden the springs and you will be safe pc'ing them!!!

It all depends on the degree of welding you do. A structural welder makes more than a manufacturing welder and an underwater welder makes a killing compared to others. If you like to weld that is what you should go off of. Just because you make good money doesn't justify a career. I can only talk for a manufacture welder in my area but between 10-18 an hour is what we get here.

The 10 hours isn't that bad just got a little one coming in march and the only riding partner I have is my wife and she can't ride and watch the kid at the sametime. All of my frieds are bums and don't have quads. I'll make the trip sometime this summer and be alone and just hook up with who ever I meet and ride alone if I have to.
