  1. I got mine from Ricky Stator. I wasn't very impressed with them at first. Then I stepped up to a 200 watt stator and 100 watt bulbs. That's all it took. Now I lead the group on all night rides.
  2. Sorry to hear that. I went through something almost exactly like that a couple of years ago. GF of 5 years who had recently become my fiancee, goes to an x-mas party and just doesnt come home. Anyway, everyone else has pretty much summed it up. These things happen for a reason. As hard as it may be, try to find whatever it is you are supposed to learn from all this.
  3. Damn! Hook a brudda up!!
  4. Lol. Anyway. Here is a pic of the Blaster. I will get a pic of the Shee up as soon as I can. Sorry for not just posting a pic, but I don't think Car Domain allows hotlinking. Blaster
  5. Leaving tonight for Glamis. We'll be around wash 12. Blue banshee. FMF grapics. Black banshee. FMF graphics (yeah yeah I know. It was pure coincidence though) Yellow 400EX, etc... Stop by and say hi if ya see us.
  6. Yeah my setup is pretty close to yours, location being the biggest difference, and I run a 300 main stock needle postion.
  7. I did a seach and came up blank. I just bought a GPS to use when in the dunes and I am looking at handlebar mounts. Found a couple I like, just want to know what everyone else uses... FYI... It needs to work with a Garmin eTrex Legend.
  8. Word! Mine stays in the garage and .45 protects it also...
  9. I have been looking at getting this once I get new plastics... Alba Red/Black Graphics
  10. That's funny as hell right there...
  11. Yeah I use steel wool also. Then glass cleaner to shine em back up.
  12. I signed it. I don't live in Illinois, but they needs riding areas too... Good luck!
  13. I am running the Sand Stars and for an all around duning tire they are great. Haulers do get out of the hole harder though.
  14. Alright. I know this is a little old, but I finally got that damn thing fixed. After trying known good cdi, coil, stator, and new plugs I figured it couldn't be ignition. Went through the carbs again (for the 4th time). All good. Re-checked the carb sync.. good. Finally in a last ditch effort I put a head gasket in it. I figured if nothing else, the bike had been hot once before so why not. Got it back together just in time to leave for Glamis. It ran perfectly. Ran smoother than it had all season and more power than it had before. Thanks guys for all your help.
  15. Thanks guys. I'll keep checking...
  16. Ok. I took a look at the reeds and they look brand new. No cracks, breaks, or bending at all.
  17. I did switch the wires and the mis/dead cylinder stayed the same. The air filter was freshly cleaned before the trip but I will try with the air filter off (Uni 2 stage filter) and take a closer look at the reeds tonight hopefully.
  18. Checked carb synch and that is good. New plugs, not used ones (I know that doesn't mean it couldn't be bad so I tried another one to be sure), inspected the carb boots and intake manifolds. I looked at the reeds, but didnt change them because I didn't have access to new ones. Fuel flow is good. I changed all line over to that Tygone (sp?) line. Thanks for the suggestions. Keep them coming.
  19. I did a search and couldn't find anything that helped. This weekend my Shee started acting up. The left cylinder does not fire in the midrange. It is fine at idle and at full throttle, but if you just want to cruise, then the left cylinder stops firing. Hit the throttle a little more and then it starts firing, backfires the unused fuel and runs ok. I cleaned both carbs very well, changed plugs, switched the plug wires (no change), eliminated all the TORS switches, tried different fuel. Nothing changed it at all. Oh, it has a Ricky Stator adjustable timing stator in it. I moved the timing back to 0 just for testing and that did nothing also. HELP!
  20. I use Ares and occasionally IRC. But yeah, Ares is great.
  21. That kicks ass...
  22. That's for sure. It's always like that.
