  1. That is true. You can pretty much make any bike into what you want with aftermarkte parts. For the most part anyway. I'll give it a go. Thanks again...
  2. Thanks for the advice. Seems like I'd be better off with a 400 or 450, but I will try the shee and see how shee does...
  3. Thanks for the advice. It's just Shane....The T is for my last name I'll give it a shot. What kind of suspension work is needed to get the shee mx ready? And trail ready. Other than just being super fast is that only thinkg that makes it not so good for trails? Even if you change sprockets???
  4. A bit pricy though...So the Banshee is no good in either category??
  5. Morning....I currently have a 99 KX 250 with a pipe, reeds, renthal bars, graphics kit tec. Nice looking race ready 2 stroke mx bike. I have a guy that wants to trade a 98 Banshee with a fresh top end, brand new pfp pipe and silencers. The plastics are original and a bit ratty and everything else seems to be a o k. I was at first looking into getting a 4 stroke like a z400 or a predator, but his came along. I will be doing trail riding, hoping to get to a track and some pits. I live in Mass so there isn't any sand dunes or anything like that that the shee is made for I hear. Would this be worth it? I was also thinking that the shee would sell quicker and for a bit more $ so even if I trade to sell or trade for another qaud. As you can see I am quite confused. Any input would be great. Yay or nay???
  6. Hello, After some thought (sell the blaster, or part it out), I've decided to part it out. Thought it could be fun to take it all apart. I am going to be listing stuff on ebay come sunday, but wanted to give you guys first dibs. It is a 98 blaster with an fmf fatty gold series pipe, 18 inch tires on the rear, can't remember what kind. Everything works mint. 2 or 3 kicks choked when cold, then 1 kick after that. I live in Mass and shipping may be a little high for the heavier stuff. Let me know if anyone is interested. You can email me at [email protected] Thanks for looking..... Shane
  7. I really appreciate everything...
  8. You make it sound really simple. We'll see if the deal goes through. I have a bike up on ebay today. If it goes I'll be purchasing something. Will I have to mess with the carbs or anything? Not too farmiliar with the ins and outs of these machines....I just want to make sure I don't screw anything up...
  9. Thank you for the input. Maybe I should consider something else. Sounds like a really good deal though. Friend of the families. 2002 with he said $4500.00 into the motor alone. I'm torn... Is race fuel that much more than regular 93 octane?
  10. Hello, Really new to banshees and I am probably going to be purchasing one tonight. Thing is is that it is set up for using racing fuel. It has aftermarket heads and other things that I have no clue about. Hopefully someone can answer this....Can I just switch from racing fuel to gas? Probably have to screw with the idle and such as I think racing fuel burns slower, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.....
