  1. Damn, I should have gotten a 96.
  2. Wow, I had know idea my banshee would do 150 mph stock. Hell, since I got pipes and paddles mine will probably do 200mph. If you seen the osboures on abc last night you'd what I'm talking about. Jack said the bike ozzy wrecked on was "a race bike that does like 150 mph". I wonder who clocked Jack doing 150, I'd sure like to see that on video. All you t-rex and cheetah bikes better watch out cause I think Jack might beable to smoke you. He must have it all tricked out inside and we can't tell. Who knows what he has in that polaris, probably a polanda. If you got any pics of your stock banshee doing 150 plus please send them, not only would I like to see them but yamaha would like to offer you a job in their race dept.
  3. Get some yfz 450 shocks for around $200.00. There fully adjustable and rebuildable.
  4. You might want to thank about some pro-tapers. These help out on long rides by helping out with upper body fatigue. Really worth the $ for the ride feel and energy saved.
  5. Yeah, would love to see it. Send some pics.
  6. wanna trade for sst's?
  7. Send some pics jerky.
  8. Not sure what your trying to say ct370lr?
  9. Trust me, the oven cleaner that you use is far more toxic than the powder coat that is not staying in there. Keep in mind that the temp in the oven is so high that it cleans itself. You might smell it while its baking but thats what the exhaust fan is for.
  10. Action racing has 2+1up for 375.00 with life time warranty. Add to that a set of yzf450 shocks with rezzys for 200.00 that are totally adjustable and rebuildable and save a shit load of $ to put into the bike somewhere else like more power. My 2 cents.
  11. Emission aren't the problem, remember the banshee motor came from a street bike. The best thing todo is talk to an offical in your state to see what has to be on the bike like signals, speedometer, mirrors, metal gas tank etc. All states are different.
  12. Make sure you are using a good plug. I would only use NGK . If your using a cheap plug like autolite or what ever the parts store can cross referrence your likely to have problems. NGk are specificly designed to run in rice burners. By the way what color smoke is coming out. You could possibly have a head gasket leak making one side smoke more. You should be able to smell the difference when its running (might smell like coolant).
  13. Powder coating would definetly be more durable but most people think that you have to have it professionally done(not true). If you already have the sprayer you can get the supplies at the same place you get the regular paint. The difference is the powder coat will need to be baked on. That's were the kitchen oven comes into play. The rims will easily fit into the oven (two at a time). You'll want to get specifics form your paint supplier on how long to bake what ever brand you buy. I think some have different bake times depending which brand you get. Obvisously you will need to take the tires off the rims before baking(don't forget to take out the valve stems) and preferrably before you paint them. This is a good time to put in chrome valve stems or flush mount valve stems (for racing or extra protection) while you got the tires off after baking.
  14. Wiseco are a very good piston. They not only have about any size you could need but they are also relatively inexspensive compared to stock ones from the stealership. The pistons that Vito's use are cast blanks from wiseco pistons. They just modify them for there certain purpose (i.e. super stock, power pistons etc.) For anyone out there with .80 over pistons that thought that was the last bore Vito's has the power pistons that are .100 over. So before you go and get new cylinders or have sleves put in keep in mind you can get one more bore over .80. I had a set of the .100 overs and they really ran strong.
  15. Sorry about the double post. Moderator take care of this guy. Damn newbies.
  16. If the simple green doesn't get it off you can use a razorblade. This will take it off but you gotta be a little more carful because you can scratch the pipes if you dig the razor into hard. Just do it gently and alittle at a time. Its very good for getting the heavy stuff off like burnt on plastic or rubber from riding pants. You may need to use some mother's polish to get the show shine back.

  18. Another trick that works not only on quad graphics but any vehicle graphics is to use the wife's hair dryer. Just run the hair dryer over the graphics at the edge where you want to start peeling. Once you get the edge peeled up an inch or so pull gently and keep heating the area directly beside where you are pulling. Be patient and careful not to rip or tear the graphics (if you do you will have to start from the edge again). This works great and you usually don't need to use any cleaner if the graphics are fairly new.
  19. watch out devil dogs bite.
  20. Go to Bluetraxx.com. They have a write on them with installation instructions.
  21. I might want the carbs. Do you know how much the shipping would be? Is there any problems with them?
  22. My wife's bike has the fmf's with 28mm Kehins and head work, kind of close to your set up. Bike has very usable power band with real good low end. If your thinking of going up to a bigger carb keep in mind some other added cost to set them up. You might have to get new intakes, throttle cable?,new filters, jets, and possibly shop time at 45.00 per hour to get them set up right. The carbs may sound like cheap hp gain but after all is said and done it can double what you payed for the carbs. I have stock carbs right now and I am planning on taking them to a machine shop and have them bore them out to 28mm for about 80.00 or less. You'll get the same effect as the Kehins, you won't have to buy any other set up shit and you'll save alot of money to put somewhere else on the shee. Just my 2cents.
