  1. i was referring to the gearbox when i said low end. as in i was implying i don't believe the gear oil is getting into the crank. when i checked the coolant level it was at the filler cap in the radiator, it was as full as one could get. as far as the carb boots, should i go with OEM or like the vito's or other brand. i am running stock carbs and at this time do not wish to change anything. i did not notice any coolant seepage in the head from what i could tell, however i did not check the impeller area. what area should one look at specifically inside the water pump area for leakage? i am used to working on 2-smokes, but this is my first banshee.
  2. i have not noticed any oil loss in the low end. i thought the marks were caused by piston ring damage but with 125 compression each side. seems odd, unless the previous owner did a quick and dirty re-ring or redid the top end without cleaning up the head.
  3. i have been trying to get this thing jetted properly for the past few weeks. seems the main is very close to being correct but i just can't get the low end to come in properly. i decided to look into things a bit closer. i have noticed a lot of white smoke coming out the exhaust. i decided to look at possible air leaks. looks like the intake boots are cracked where the boost bottle goes in, and also on the underneath side where the carbs mount. but knowing that air leaks don't usually cause white smoke i did a compression check and i have 125 per cylinder same as it was 6 months ago. i thought maybe coolant was entering the system somewhere but it doesn't use any, its always full. i decided to take off the head for inspection and i found lots of gouges in the right side of the head and a few gouges in the left side. the piston tops look a bit of build up but nothing out of the ordinary. looking through the intake runners the piston skirts look all fine and dandy as well. so what could be causing this white smoke and could that be affecting my difficulty jetting as well? i have attached a pic of the head.
  4. i have a set of T5 or T3 and TR silencers, i'm honestly not sure which ones they are. but i am willing to trade.

  16. unless you buy premixed yes you have to mix it. i mix 60% water 40% antifreeze. if you never get below 32 in the winter i would never use antifreeze just water.

  23. audio electronic engineering technician for Klipsch Audio i am an audio nut and motorcycle guru.
  24. motion-pro sells just the caps i think, however not the adjusters. they come with the turbo throttle kit. Vito's sells each piece individually so i know they can get you the carb tops, and adjusters.
  25. look in the manual of your receiver, it will tell you what else you need for the SM to work. most likely an additional antenna, and then you just have to call or sign up on the internet at www.xmradio.com if you sign up online like i did they throw out the setup fee of $12. you must pay by CC or debit each month, quarterly or yearly. i had it since day after christmas and though its got a good selection of music to choose from the sound quality is not very good. its bearable but FM has a wider frequency response.
