  1. head arrived, thanks.
  2. just ride it like you normally would. the rings will seat the best withing the first 30 min of riding. after that its negligable. if you have forged pistons make sure you let it warm up for 2 minutes before you take off.
  3. twist is the only way to go. every machine i own has a twist, thumbs suck.
  4. the assembly atop your carbs is the TORS system. JUNK IT!!! buy a proper kit to remove them from www.vitosperformance.net or a host of other places. it will save you time and effort and when jetting your banshee and will rid of any future problems you may have with it, when it decides to prevent your shee from reving properly.
  5. T4's on Ebay
  6. are you by chance the one who asked me about shipping my T4's on ebay to aussie land? if so and your still interested i'd do it for an HQ member. you may bid on them.
  7. stock compression close to sea level is around 120-130 if it studders on the low end adjust the air/fuel screww on each carb, sounds like it may be a bit rich. start with the screws around 2 turns out and go from there.
  8. sredish, on those tests do you know if each pipe was rejetted or just stuck on there and pulled a run? thats amazing how close the T5 and Fatty's are.
  9. looks like T4's to me. thanks for the pics.
  10. i was sure these were Toomey T3 pipes but now i wonder if i am wrong?
  11. i don't know why anybody would throw in oem yamaha fibers, those are the shittiest street fibers made. go with barnett or ebc fibers.
  12. i would not worry about the 155 just yet. i wouldn't rebuild until about 130. but if you need all the edge you can get then go right ahead. i have always used Wiseco pistons, they never steered me wrong.
  13. vito's is the cheapest place that carries both the main and pilots in stock. there may be cheaper but its easier to buy everything in one place. remember after shipping it may be cheaper to buy from your local OEM supplier. but if your buying several i would say the internet shops could save u money. vito's http://carbparts.com/ (they carry everything you could possibly want but don't list price?)
  14. i don't know your elevation but on a stock shee at sea level i have heard of people putting in 30 pilots and 320 mains. so with the additional mods you have just put on, i would advise going up quite a bit. atleast to what i listed above for starters.
  15. 30 pilot 300 main but you might wanna try the 27.5 pilot instead, i've had an air leak so mine was more than likely off. all shee's are different, trial and error. the main should be real close though. before you start jetting i would advise getting the following: 27.5, 30 pilots 270-320 mains you should find your spot pretty easily. i run the same mods as you listed cept i have a motofast 2into1 and my lid is off.
  16. I thought the "Super Hawk" was a 996? it is and i don't think your gonna pull 190 on a superchicken unless it had about 5G's in the engine. and you would still be lucky. 168 = 01 gsx-r750 125 = car ?? = quad
  17. cool, got yourself a deal PM me with payment details
  18. The head has some very light dings in the right side from a previous piston failure but it did not effect the performance in any way. How about a package deal on the head and the rad valves of $80.00 shipped? how much for just head
  19. price for head, has it been altered in anyway from stock. also are RAD valves still available?
  20. full Set of Douglas wheels (thats 4 for you slower people) $150 black T4's in good shape /w TR silencers. a bit of surface rust near lower portions, i sanded them and repainted them with hi temp paint. NOW on ebay may take trades or trades and cash for the following round house swingarm(stock or -1 length only) FMF Fatties PTR mids cool head (any brand using stock head bolts) 2 into 1 carb setup(or possible manifold only) aftermarket shocks
  21. a trade has been arranged, if it doesn't happen for some reason i will reply to this thread.
  22. sounds like you have a descent air leak... would explain using starting fluid, low end bog, and popping/backfiring.
  23. well as many searches i have performed i am convinced that i have a coolant leak somewhere. i am ordering a new head gasket and intake boots for starters. i'll go from there i guess. it must be just enough of a leak to cause the white smoke, but not enough to really use up the coolant fast.
  24. they do not, just a bit of carbon build up.
  25. wanting the stocker, don't really care about the boost bottle. anyone got one for sale, or trade for my bottle?
