looking to try something new...
Trick2stroke replied to bigdaddy69's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
When you run Amsoil you're suppost to run the Severe Gear 75W90. -
lol wow, was that necessary. Change your tampon, have some cold beer, and chill the fuck out!
-
I've been thinking about ditching the bright colors, maybe stick to something clean. Like black, silver, or at most a dark candy blue or red with silver or black plastics. either way I have some time to think about it. I'm more of a performance before cosmetic kinda guy.

For sale is a custom Long Travel 4130 Chromoly Round House swing arm +3, for the Blaster. Comes with a like new RK X-ring chain, blue anodized billet aluminum carrier with good barring/seals, 250R shock valved to the swingers length and a 145-160 lbs rider (I'm 175 and it still didn't like to bottom out. *12 inches of travel*) modified to bolt directly on, and a TM designs chain roller. (you will have to lower the bottom chain roller) Pics: Asking 900 shipped. Sounds like alot, but not bad at all for what you're getting. (go price swing arms new, most will run you close to 800 alone, not to mention you can't even buy a long travel swing arm for the blaster that I've seen.) If you have any questions or want more detailed pics of a specific part/area let me know. You can contact me threw email also [email protected] . Thanks for looking.

I agree, the red and blue shee doesn't seem to be very tastefully done on that shee. the red is kinda nasty looking. My red/blue blaster looks pretty nice I think, but I may just go in a diffrent direction.

There's a thread 3 down from this one on the subject replacing stock with yfz spindles/hubs/calipers.

lol, I realy hope someone made that video as a joke.

DMC's aren't long travel. If I'm not mistaken they're denton +2+1 arms with elka dual rate's. Check out Janssen for a lt front end. Sometimes you can find the outlaw front end for 1500 new on ebay. Janssen LT Front End. +3+1's with quad rate elkas.

I've been brain storming over what colors to go with. I want something diffrent but basically everything has been done. I might just stick with blue and red like I did on my blaster. I changed the frame on DMCbanshee's frame to red to get a feel for how it would look, I hope you don't mind dmc! I just don't know, I may go with something real clean cut like silver/black or silver/blue or red. What's everyones opinion on the blue/red?

You can still buy an LSR Outlaw chassis. It's just not listed on their site, you have to call them.
-
Dude, 7 grand? Is it stock geometry? Is this a drag frame? You're money is far better spent on something like the LSR Outlaw or a Leager 250R or equivilent geometry frame/suspension if your goal is just having a lighter more nimble machine. I believe loboboy said the entire frame and suspension set up from LoneStar is 5600 and that will beat the shit out of this titanium frame, providing all it is is titanium without a change in geometry or something more benificial. You would also have money left over also to put towards w/e else your bike may be lacking. If I had the money to do so I would definately spend it in a diffrent way.

where to get allen head replacment bolts for the fenders?
Trick2stroke replied to csrmel's topic in Banshee Appearance
This is for replacing all the fender nuts/bolts/washers only correct? -
I need to find a Banshee, any year (preferably one with A arms), any conditon as long as the price is relative to the cond., preferably running and as cheap as possible! I would like to spend less then 1000 but will go up to 1500 pending on condition. I'm willing to drive up to 500-600 miles to pick it up, maybe more if it's a killer deal. I'm in the Northeast Houston area of Texas. I had found a good deal on a clean, running 98 in San Antonio but someone bought it the night before I was able to go get it. Everything else I see is very overpriced. People asking 4-5 grand for stock or near stock late 90's and early 2000 models. Also a complete RZ350 engine with electronics would be amazing if you could find one. I have cash in hand to buy these items. Just having trouble locating them. Thanks for your time!

He's in Ontario and is asking 9,000 US.

Alright, cool. Thanks guys.

No? Anyone?

Where do blaster pegs relocate the peg position in comparison to banshee footpegs? Reason I ask is I have some IMS roll design pegs with kick ups for my blaster and I plan to take them off and use them on the shee. Seems like I remember someone saying it moves them down and back? I assume I'll need a shorter shifter if this is so, I just wanted to confirm. Thanks for takin' the time.

chances are I won't beable to afford the 250R geometry set up for a long time. So, this weekend I might be picking up a piped good condition 98 for 1100. What suspension set up on a stock frame would you suggest? I was thinking something along the lines of the Janssen outlaw front end with a -2 or -1.5 round house with a revalved stock rear(or would a works be better? ). I'll be running low on funds so I gotta use the best alternative to the high dollar shit.

NTMX announces "The Blizzard" (North Texas MX)
Trick2stroke replied to 98bonerSTOCKshee's topic in MX Forum
If I had a bike I might be making the trek up from southeast tx. :: Hopefully I'll be ready to go by the spring. -
That is exactly what I want to do, build a Banshee for MX with 250R or similar geometry. Just to set myself apart from the crowd of 450 owners. Everyone and thier sister has one now. Not to mention the banshee is my all time favorit atv, I guess you could say I have a fetish. This thread has indirectly helped me tremendously with the details I couldn't find anywhere else, so thank you.

Title says it all. Looking for any condition, any year model Banshee. Parts bike, wrecked, not running, anything as long as it priced right to its condition. Thanks for lookin'. Blake.

FMF sst/Shorty silencer and V-Force 2.
Trick2stroke posted a topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I'm parting out and selling my yz 85 so I can have money to FINALLY buy a banshee.. I've wanted one for I don't know how long and the yz 85 is alitle small and underpowered for me so its gone.. Both the pipe and reeds were put on at the same time and neither have hardly ANY ride time on them... I don't get to ride very often anymore and since I got my blaster back the yz has been sitting (protected) and only ridin occasionally just to run it for short periods of time.. Looking to get 200 shipped for the pipe and silencer and 90 shipped for the V-Force 2.. Like said both have very low hours on them and are in great shape. -
No low end...Then picks up and is gone...
Trick2stroke replied to sschevy383's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I would Highly recomend Amsoil Dominator Syn. when you switch from yamalube. Best stuff I've ever used. Run it at 50:1 like it reccomends. -
How the hell do you break nuts?
Trick2stroke replied to 01bansheefox's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
When I have a nut or bolt that won't break loose I like to get a reasonably sized hammer or rubber mallet and hit the socket wrench at the end to break it free. Seems to do the trick for me. I guess somewhat the same effect that an impack wrench has. -
Some people... Only performance mod an lrd pipe? I can honestly say I have beaten a STOCK banshee in a short drag on my ported piped ect ect.. blaster but he soon caught up to me after I toped out and then passed me and I'm geared up 14/38.
