  1. hey man, i slapped my set on this summer and the powerband is crazy..., from mid to top end its like a missile, but the bottem end isnt as good as i hoped, i dont know how hard it is to fix, but im in the process of advancing my timing and increasing compression with aftermarket heads.. that may help it out a little i havent tried the fattys before so i dont know if there is a difference yes, they do come witha jet kit, filter and airbox vents , i think mine came with 280 and 300 mains with new needles and c-clips hope this helped Matt
  2. maybe too small of bulbs or yer regulators gone i dunno good luck Matt
  3. I'm with ya... i had ridden many quads but just the past summer i purchased a 2001 shee. lets just say, after ridinig thumpers all my life, hitting that powerband put the biggest smile on my face. Its a shame that the yamaha corp. will drive the banshee into its own grave. IF that day comes, ill be flyin my flag half staff forsure.... Matt
  4. well id say a few years ago i was at my cousins house and he had a honda trx 200 just a light little thing so we went riding at the gravel pits near by. we were having a great time climbing the hills until i was the idiot showing of without a helmet. i was climbin a pretty steep hill and i was beginning to get stuck so i let off the gas and started to roll back down. THEN (here comes the smart part) i decided to punch the throttle half way down. The front end lifted like a feather and the center of the handlebars landed in the middle of my face. My broken nose bled all the way back to my cousins house, across the street to the neighbours house (my aunt or uncle wernt home) and the long 15min drive to the hospital. After i broke my nose, cracked the bone underneath my eye, damaged some nerves on the side of my head and a reconstructive surgery on my face, lets just say im one lucky f*ckin kid to be here today. Hope this will knock some sense into the guys who feel they do not need helmets. btw... i never even leave the yard without my helmet now... it only takes one time to change your mind, but you may not always get a second chance. Have fun and be safe guys.... Matt

  17. from what i understand, they take the bottle from under the seat and re route the entire system to under the "hood". then u will need longer hose probably to reroute the overflow back to the back so ti wont overflow onto your pipes i have not done this, this is jsut what i hear hope this helps matt
  18. how much will it affect the power output? will i notice it? could that be why it is bogging sometimes in low revs?? Thanks for the info guys greatly appreciated Matt
  19. i hear everybody talkin about advancing the timing but how do u know when u have to do this. ive got pipes and very soon a noss head with 21cc domes should i advance teh timing and will this give a little better response??? Matt
  20. which mains are u runnin ?? i think the kit came with 280's and 300's if im not mistaken did you possibly make a change in the float valve? switch bowls? im just new to the whole modding thing so i do things by the book? I cant think of anything off the top of my head ... did u put the choke tube back ( hose between the 2 carbs) Other than that, im not sure either Let me know if this helps..... Matt
  21. i just installed mine in the summer and i didnt have a problem at all. It was my first time doing it and it took me probly 2 hours to install the pipes and jet the carbs. Mind you, jetting is the slowest part of the process. Are u having any problems?? Matt
